  1. Check the usage level of your other components too. If anything else in your system is bottlenecking your performance, the 30% GPU usage doesn't mean SL is incapable of utilizing all of your GPU power, it just means something else is bottlenecking the frame per second to a certain level and that certain level of frame per second only uses 30% of your GPU power.
  2. This is great! And glad to see that LL is taking their time to make sure these changes don't negatively impact the inworld ecosystems, careful and respectful towards their residents like always <3 way to go LL!
  3. Are you sure you weren't buying parcels in private lands? You CANNOT get kicked out of your mainland parcels by anyone except LL. If you got kicked out by a landlord that means you've got private lands' parcels instead of mainland ones which don't require premium membership.
  4. Gonna join in the conversation, not saying you have to move out if you are content with your Linden Home, but as of now you get more out of your premium membership by getting a mainland land, so I don't get why you said Linden Home is more affordable (except you meant it's more expensive because of the upfront cost of buying a 1024m2 land, but still in the long run you get more out of your mainland land) There shouldn't be a landlord issue too since you will own the land in mainland with your premium allotment, not sure why you said there would.
  5. Whoot! That explains why I saw $7 instead of $8 as my current land cost yesterday when I was checking on a land thing so I guess 1536m2 will only cost $4 instead of $8 now? Because 1024m2 is free from your premium land allotment, and the extra 512m2 will cost $4 o: that's crazy! Also 2048m2 will cost only $7 now wow o -o
  6. I'm not sure but I assumed they haven't logged in for a long time since their profile is empty and nothing on the land is recent I just checked and I found a build that's similarly ancient Wow! I didn't know about that, must've been a really good deal Wow, that was indeed a really good deal
  7. I just bought another roadside land earlier today, and just earlier I decided to check on my neighbor's parcel because they have this random prim rezzed on the edge of their parcel bordering mine. I checked the creation date of the prim, it says 28th of January, 2007. I thought it might have been something created a long time ago but just recently rezzed, but it doesn't seem like it, so I investigated further. It turned out everything on the parcel are very old prims which are clearly not prefabs, and most likely been created on the spot right then and there. I saw the land info and read that it had been claimed on 25th of January, 2007, so three days before the prim I mentioned was rezzed. The other prims are also rezzed around those dates. And lastly, the land owner's profile is totally empty. Wow so I guess this person is still paying for this land for 11 years straight without ever coming back to the land. It's not a small land too, it's 3632m2 big, so that's like $25 every month. (not sure how much the fee for a land that big was back then though). It's a very fascinating find to me it's crazy how the things on the land predates even the protected roadside's road next to it (the road was made in 2009) Here's a screenshot of the land, and the location is here (I linked the road next to the land) if anyone wants to check it out Edit: Checked further and saw something that was made on February of 2007, but still not too far from January
  8. Houses that have high ceilings and are realistically proportioned are the best. I'd recommend La Galleria / Maven Homes, I think they designed their houses around the fact that people are on 3rd person perspective on SL, and put a good amount of space for the camera by making high ceilings / roomy rooms in general Of course, you can also edit your camera preset through the debug / developer settings to be lower and closer to your avatar like I did.
  9. I think it's possible to make them phantom as long as the root prim has a shape (it can be very small and put up high), but I'm not sure if that works for vehicles
  10. I think the YavaPods are on fixed route too, my definition on "roaming" was a bit loose and I see. I will try to make the buses then! (maybe 1 or 2)
  11. Thanks Love! And yeah, I was referring to YavaPods which as far as I know is privately owned, they operate multiple self-driving mainland-roaming vehicles that anyone can hitch a ride on
  12. SL is my first virtual world by definition when I first joined in 2012, except if TinyMe is considered a virtual world then that would be my first virtual world ;D
  13. I've seen a lot of them over the years and know that they are privately owned, kinda wondering if one requires a special permit of some sort to operate them. Or can I just make one and let them roam the mainland as long as they don't intrude into people's parcels? I kinda want to make mainland-roaming buses
  14. Alright, thanks for the replies guys! I will go get a smaller house or find a bigger land then
  15. I have a sky island which encroach a bit into protected land (like 1-2 meters), but it's in the sky so I'm guessing it's completely fine. But I'm thinking about purchasing this roadside land and the house I'm thinking of putting there is slightly too big according to the footprint, will LDPW / LL be okay with this? It won't be on the actual road itself, but the small patches of land besides the road. I've seen some that are like that too, but just want to make sure
  16. It would be less useful, but you can give them your edit right and just rez it where they live. The only catch is that the land needs to have no return or that you'll need to be in the land's group. I've thought about something like this, but I know it would be a very temporary thing because the moment the people who are "borrowing" the house move out of the land, or if I need to leave the land's rez group, then it's gonna be derezzed. Probably useful if you know someone who REALLY wants to have your house on their land, and they are willing to pay a small portion of money for it

  18. What Chaser said, which is one of the reasons I just use YouTube for both SL videos and livestreams as it allows live streaming of SL and I haven't got any problem live streaming SL on YouTube
  19. I wasn't the one posting this here, Alwin. I was replying to the OP. And I certainly wasn't asking whether or not a video I made was made by LL lol
  20. Hey, yeah a friend of mine posted it on the HF forum I already posted this on the video section of this forum though. And no it's not an official SL ad by LL
  21. I didn't mean completely useless, but like, most of the time, to me personally at least. Not complaining about it, was just saying
  22. There shouldn't be any more disincentives to free accounts than what we have now (they can't own mainland land is the only thing, basically, since premium region priority access is almost useless). I wasn't premium for my first 4 years (almost 5 years) on SL until I started becoming premium near the beginning of previous year, and I gotta say had there been more disincentives to free accounts, I might have not been able or willing to contribute to SL as much as I did. The way it is now is fine.
