archangel969
A lesson for me to read the description to what I buy on SL MP good. I apparently don't. So I bought a town hall in the Amsterdam series from Steam & Mechanics Inc. I assumed that something that comes from an Amsterdam series is also Amsterdam. So I decorated it with portraits of Amsterdam mayors, from the late Middle Ages to the female mayor we have now (Amsterdam's first!) and put the Amsterdam coat of arms on the facade. I already thought it didn't look much like Amsterdam's old city hall, but it did look a bit like the mayor's official residence, so okay. But... last week, I read the description a little better. Turned out it wasn't Amsterdam's town hall but Harlingen's! I googled it. Yes, it is true! Here I am with a Harlingen town hall with Amsterdam attributes. Anyway, fortunately you can create your own wonderland in SL and I hereby decide that this will just remain an Amsterdam town hall in Canal city, puh! In the picture: the SL town hall at Canal city, picture 2: the Harlingen town hall in RL.

It's probably that guy on you tube that goes around doing lawns for nothing without asking. That or one of his loyal fans.. It's amazing how many times that guy gets the cops called on him or a neighbor shows up to give him crap.. hehehe I was going to cut the grass at our house in town, since everyone else forgets to do it.. but it rained again this weekend, so it's gonna be two weeks now of not being able to cut it.. It's not too big of a yard though.. Only like half of an acre I think. Still it's push mower, but it has that auto thing on it where the front wheels turn and really makes it much easier for me, since it has a little bit of a slope to the yard..

Grayson Blakewell
In my view, the recent changes to Second Life's Terms of Service may be signaling a larger shift towards prioritizing adult content and potentially phasing out the child community altogether. While some may interpret these changes as a means to restore the platform's original purpose, it's essential to recognize the broader implications. Second Life's evolution from an educational tool and diverse community space to a platform dominated by adult content reflects a divergence from its initial vision. By implementing stricter guidelines on child avatars, Linden Lab may be laying the groundwork for a future where adult-oriented content takes center stage. Of which I hope the LAB takes as much attention as they have with this... whatever it is. Second Life ain't Pornoville, but you sure creating it as such. However, this transition raises concerns for individuals who engage with child avatars for reasons beyond illicit activities. For many, it's about seeking connections and experiences that provide solace and support. The potential removal of the child community could alienate these users and further marginalize already vulnerable groups. As Second Life navigates these changes, it's crucial for Linden Lab to consider the implications for all users and ensure that any shifts align with principles of inclusivity, fairness, outreach support and respect for diverse communities. There are more issues down this rabbit hole, some I do not think LL have even worked out. This could really backfire for them as this move has in essentiality broken a multitude of SL's own original platform vision. Its not just the kids that are the problem, in fact they are the smallest on an iceberg of contradictions.

There's one running right now that might be better. Well my view is that there's getting to be more of a crackdown on sexual matters overall, and so LL wants to make sure they aren't in the crossfire of it as much as possible.
