At least they are claiming they did not "kill and skin a Furry"!

Perhaps they should, it might increase the sales!

They'd get covered in graffiti in no time flat too.

They aren't replacing trees, just like  logging and replanting doesn't put the forest back.. Trees are just part of the forest.. But they sold a lot of people on that bull crap.

If LL thought reducing the variety of topics we are allowed to discuss would reduce/eliminate the animosity (to put it mildly) on display in the forums... they failed. It's getting worse, not better.

Ya, the amount of lock and thread kills seem to have not slowed down at all.

Really? I saw almost none - maybe zero - in the last week. (MAYBE 1 lock.)

There might be  less threads but they end up locked or killed about the same percentage.

Peeve: In "our" defense as a Forum community - it seems a lot of the locked / deleted threads are either a) created and/or "blown up" by the "usual suspects", or b) new people who come along and are um.."special" about their approach to the Forum.

What you are seeing is partially the weaponization of thread locking/deleting by some users combining with an apparent lack of properly dealing with them by the powers that be while removing the "problematic" posts (effectively removing any outward facing evidence of these shenanigans) ...

It has got to stop.

That's how it was before the new rules as well though.

Exactly, as someone who started using the Forum "relatively recently" (see my low post count as evidence), I don't see a big difference.

Peeve at new Forum rule, aka:

The Forums are for the community to discuss Second Life and should not be used to Call out Lindens or request changes to the system.

So we can no longer complain when stuff isn't working because asking for it to be fixed would be tantamount to asking for the system to be changed.

Where are you seeing this?

ETA:

NVM. Found it.

That's a little vague. But it doesn't sound good.

Dakota locked a thread about bots. (the one with the nice bells in the title).
It was formulated that way in his reasoning for locking the thread.

Ah... others beat me to it.
