Totally agree...if it was only the actual essential workers out there running around I bet the spread of Covid would have slowed considerably. * Essential worker to me means a delivery person from Whole Foods will bring me my organic ice cream later today, btw. 😁 Edited March 1, 2021 by Luna Bliss

LittleMe Jewell
Things are getting much better where I live. Below is a picture of our "Dial". Where a County is on the dial designates how much of the County is open --- whether indoor dining is allowed, what percentages are allowed for various indoor/outdoor activities, etc... Roughly 2/3 of the state is at Blue, most of the rest are at Yellow, with only 3 Counties at Orange. Since they started rolling out the vaccine, the stats around here have been improving every week.
Ceka Cianci
This was another really good video that gives us a silver lining to the covid pandemic.. I figured, if there needed to be a place to hear a silver lining, it was here.. hehehe

Kyrie Deka
Two of the best points ever. Ever. I suspect had the first been done by leaders broadly to snuff this bug out in its tracks better, then non-unionized goods-and-services essential workers would have been take care of in that response so that for 4 weeks at least they were recognized for their additional risk and contribution were they to choose or have to continue due to their own personal situation. As it is now, nothing has changed, and if I never see the phrase "unskilled job" again I will be quite happy. How gross to call it that! I'm sorry - I'm thinking even the dude who used to stand on the corner with the big pizza place arrow sign twirling it around had to have at least one skill, to keep from falling in to oncoming traffic while "performing". **Shudder** at how some treat others standing right next to them, all while benefitting from their personal risk and hard labor, as they shield many from having to leave home at all... You should watch that video, It goes into how the vaccine works different than others before it and how it disables the corna.. plus how the pandemic has actually flooded money into the research they were already doing which was applied to covid.. It's probably a big reason why we got the vaccine so fast.. It really made me see this vaccine as totally different than others and familiarized me with it, so i don't feel so in the dark.. Seeing those spikes on that virus just inspired me to respond , because I know how it's disabled now..hehehe

It's probably a big reason why we got the vaccine so fast.. yes I never feared the vaccine due to the concerns others voiced (that it was developed too fast), as I had done some studying regarding viruses and treatments for them a couple years ago, and knew this previous research on viruses paved the way for the Coronavirus one. I don't know in detail how it specifically works on Covid though, so will watch your video..

What it did was show that this pandemic is actually a turning point in how things may be done in the future with many kinds of diseases and a lot has to do with these kinds of vaccines.. This pandemic caused all kinds of money to be flooded into this type of research, which might just be a game changer.. plus he was going into how this pandemic inspired so many people to go into the medical field that may have ended up doing something different.. It's just an all around good news feeling kind of video that gave a look from the positives we will take away from all of this rather than just paying attention to the negatives.. There is going to be positives from all of this.. What the video did for me with the vaccine is gave me a much more clear idea of how it works, which is really neat how it does.. I knew it wasn't using a weakened version of a virus, But I still didn't know how it worked.. It shows that this corona is a bit more complex than the others, even though the others are more deadly.. By more deadly ,I mean they attack and kills faster, so there is less spread.. where this covid is more of a spreader because it's slower and more of a trickster.. it's just really worth a look.. He doesn't get too complex but explains everything very well..

Arielle Popstar
4 hours ago, Luna Bliss said: How are the 'working from home' workforce included in that statistic? This for the US but likely Canada roughly the same: "We found that 72% of all workers were in jobs deemed essential, and over three-quarters of all essential workers were unable to work at home," Selden said. Not only that, but as many as 61% of these workers had underlying health issues that put them at increased risk of severe COVID-19 should they become infected, he added. "Because so many workers are in essential jobs and unable to work at home, and because so many adults have increased risk of severe COVID-19, we found that between 57 million and 74 million adults with increased risk of severe COVID-19 were either essential workers unable to work at home or they lived in households with such workers," Selden said. The findings were published online Nov. 9 in JAMA Internal Medicine. https://www.usnews.com/news/health-news/articles/2020-11-09/nearly-74-million-essential-workers-at-high-risk-for-covid-in-us Considering that the essential worker is at a higher risk and that they handle whatever it is one is getting in from outside, you better heat that ice cream and its packaging to at least 160 degrees to be sure all viruses and bacteria is killed off before enjoying it. 😃
