Looking at him in a photo - he's clearly Indigenous to some degree. But he'd probably get slammed for 'redface' if he wore that costume today as even if he was in a tribe I've always heard you don't wear a headdress like that around in 'cosplay' (and it's not even part of the culture of some of the tribes he's claimed ancestry from). That said, Village People was a literal 'Boy Band' - in that they were all hired to play certain roles. UnilWay SpiritWeaver Posted December 4, 2023 Share Posted December 4, 2023 (edited) Ok so... thinking about that guy in Indigenous cosplay reminded me of this actual Native American rock band who's main hit is extremely well known - but a LOT of people don't realize it's them singing it: You've probably heard it here, in studio polished form: It's been covered by a European dance group also at some point in the 90s.
