Does anyone know or remember what theme the 1500s represents?  I think 3500s are Sakura & 4000 are the Premium Plus Homes.

Okay, my first answer was completely wrong, so I removed it so nobody gets confused. I went through the thread from the start to make sure I got it right this time, because my brain was telling me I'd muddled something, and it was right.

A lot of the early themes were not covered (traditionals, houseboats and campers), regardless of whether they were built on site or in the private build area. Victorians were the first cloned region theme and the first use I can see of covers.

Forest Green = Early clones. Victorians, Log Homes and other misc areas.
Pink = Stilts
Red = Sakura
Purple = Chalets
Light Green = Fantasy
Black = Newbrooke and later clones.

Other random colours or shades of previous colours were used for single regions.

So revising my answer, as they did those other stilt expansions, and brought the stilt regions back for that. Which I remembered, but my brain decided red and pink were the same colour (yay covid).

Edit: Now I think about it, I'm having doubts, and going through the thread is endless filler of I WANT MY HOUSE NOW WHY NO HOUSES YET. But I'm on a mission, so let's see if I can find out which colour was which. I won't be doing a drinking game with the WHY NO HOUSE YET posts.

I always thought 1500's were vics and red was sakura but I might be wrong.

I edited my reply about as Nika replied and Hedy had already responded... so I was wrong initially, but it took me a bit to update as I went through the thread to be sure and it's long. I edited the wrong answer out as people tend to remember the first thing they read and not the correction. So yes, pink is stilts.

There's a block of pink SSP1500's, which means they're still working on more stilt homes. This makes sense since they're popular.

The red area (Sakura) has one square called SSPSCR (no doubt a clone of the Sakura Community Region) & one labeled 3500. The rest are blank, so they may not be working on more Sakura homes right now.

There's a big block of black 4000s regions, which frequently has green dots in it. I'm assuming these are the 2048 m homes, because demand for them is fierce and LL would like to keep their Premium Plus members happy if they can. The SSPBIN & SSPBIS squares are also black. I'm sure these are clones of the BelliDemo and BelliHUB island (Belli Island North & Belli Island South). I expect that once the 2048 m homes are done, an extension will be added to the BelliDemo region to represent them, (maybe accessible via a bridge to a small island at one upper conner?).

The SSPVCRW square is not covered and is obviously a clone of the Victorian Community Region.

Except for one weird orange square which I think is labeled SSPEC, the rest of the colored squares seem to be empty - nothing under them, nothing being worked on currently.

In another part of the map, there are 3 purple regions labeled LH DEV, LH DEV 2, & LH DEV 3. These 3 regions frequently have green dots in them, so they must represent work on Linden Homes of some type.

Near these is the PPSB region, which is not covered & looks like one corner of an empty 4 region sandbox island. My hope is that this signals a plan for new Premium sandbox islands, much like the ones by the original Linden Homes but within Bellisseria.

Actually, the sequence of events for the SSP1500s stilt area has been weird.

  • The pink SSP1500s block was created.
  • Eventually, the stilts were released.
  • Another few themes were built out and released.
  • Then LL took down all existing numeric named SSP regions in their development area, including the SSP1500s, leaving ibehind a sprinkling of SSP regions with non-numeric names and a whole bunch of colored but empty "ghosts" on the map.
  • Then, the pink SSP1500s RETURNED!!!! And LL dropped an additional 15 stilt regions down the east LogLand coast, from Orillas Nuevas to Sturmwhafen.  The new regions used the same multi-region tiles that had been used in the initial release.

But that was pretty long ago now.  The fact that pink 1500s are STILL up in the SSP area does indeed seem to indicate that, at some time, another block of stilt regions will appear :)  There are LARGE areas of empty grid around Belli: north of LogLand, south of LogLand/Stilts, and east of the Chalets.  And, of course, the smallish void in the middle of Newbrooke.  It's anybody's guess as to where the new 2048 theme and/or more stilts will go.

But I must admit that I often stop by Man Overboard ... wishfully checking for more of that coastline to magically appear!

The SLB grass seems to be switching to a light yellowy green on the map (SLB Fantasy is an example with the new texture). Not necessarily significant, but they have used current and upcoming theme textures on the birthday regions before. That's probably the last comment I can make on it until opening, as exhibitors should be getting in tomorrow and can't share things.

The CH regions have been fairly busy and one now has no cover. The uncovered one is the Helios Casino region. Not looking good for it being a backup giant monkey farm, unless that's where you go when you lose at the casino.

Here's where I think they might fit in eventually. We already have a Drama LLama region nearby.

No banana lake? a missed opportunity.

  • 3 weeks later...

27 new regions have appeared on the map to the west of the Stilt Homes.

27NewRegions16June2023.thumb.png.e3ff94c2d46fae9d935f791c695ef644.png

Some have "Wild West" or rural farming sounding names, while others don't. And none, as yet, have "SSP" in their titles either.

Curiously, there's an empty void within the new group. Possibly a space reserved for a special region, such as a community area?

I've noticed these new regions extend as far west so that Moose Tracks (in Log Land) is directly to the south of them, meaning that the train track in Moose Tracks could, or might (or will?!) be extended up into these new regions (and other additional ones) sometime in the future.

Their names (from top north row to bottom south row) are:

Cow House, Silo, Starline, Pinto Pastures

Rassle, Highland Spur, *empty void*, Cowtown, Callaghan

Gullywash, Deadpan, Woodyard, Lumpkin, Clemente, Coffee Mill

Knott Mine, Ralph, After You, Bear Mountain, Talon Peak, Squeaky Springs

Beagle, Snakehill, Oxbellow Canyon, Buttercup Lane

Hundred Prim Woods, Starlight Fay

Gorgeous Aurelia Dream

:)

two of them are visible for me

They could be ghost map tiles from regions that used to be in those positions. I know there are a few ghost tiles around Bellisseria where the map hasn't updated properly. They look all wrong for a Linden home region

I'm pretty sure that's exactly where the train line will end up - and after running through this new theme I am just as sure that it will continue to wind noretheast, around the Stilt homes, and end up in Sakura at Shobu. :)

wow "starlight fay" and "Gorgeous Aurelia Dream": sound like user names submitted in a contest... I wonder if those two will get their choice of a house on that region? Fay, Gogo.. if you do, let us know all about it.

Here's a better view showing all the names in situ. @Fay Starlight - did you win a comp to name a region?!? (Looks like I'll finally lose my unobstructed western view from Starboard Lights when the next tranche is added.) Note the amount of water in Clemente...

Sorry to disappoint you, but what you currently see on the map for Clemente and Coffee Mill are ghosts of former regions that were once there; they're gone now.

Ah, I noticed the image disappeared when zooming in and out… but thought it might show the larger parcels with ‘water views’ for all.
