  1. Ahhh. Perhaps that's where I'm getting confused. I think I'm trying to use just the one applier as a universal applier for all skins.
  2. As far as i know, I have the Maitreya applier...which was suggested by a member in the omega group. And I have the Catwa head applier. As of right now, I have the Lara Maitreya body and a classic avi head. So far i'm interested in the Catwa Alice head and have been playing around with the demo which i found out how to adjust the eyes. that was easy. I then wear both appliers and try to apply the demo skins which doesn't seem to have any appliers. In the boxes I only see skins. When i try to apply them mothing happens. Am I suppose to have an applier for the skins as well?
  3. Maybe I need to use a skin applicator. Perhaps that's the issue. I've only been using demos because i'd like to make sure I know what I'm doing before spending the Lindens to buy all the stuff needed. As of right now I am using the Glam Fair demos. perhaps its just a learning experience. I shall be sure the skin has an applier. Thanks for your help. I could be back. LOL
  4. I'm using Omega System Relay Hud For Catwa and Omega System Relay Hud for Maitreya. Am I missing somethig?
  5. I've gone through the mesh body addicts blog however I only find how to work with the body. and I do believe I have that down pat. It's applying the skins to match the head and body together. Its just not working. very difficult for me to figure out.
  6. I recently returned to SL after being away for some time and when I returned, there were mesh bodies and heads. It took me a while to get a grasp this new mesh. After trying many demos (I'm still using my classic head) I went with the Maitreya Lara body. I am not comfortable using it. However, I have now been fiddling around with the mesh heads...catwa inparticular. And I've been having a hard time getting the skins to apply to the body and head. I got some help from someone who told me I needed the appliers, Lara body and catwa appliers. but it doesn't seem to be working. Is there any
  7. True. Everyone has different preferences. So I am going to give them all a shot and see what works for me.
  8. Emerald, I found that blog the other day and have been reading for days. It's great. I'll check out the group perhaps it could be helpful.
  9. Christin73 I didn't know there were more viewers but the LL and Firestorm. :matte-motes-big-grin-squint: im in the process of looking for a new laptop because mine is old....5 yrs perhaps. When I get the new one I was wondering what viewer would be best to install. But you're right, why change since I've used the SL for years. Thanks for your input.
  10. Emerald. Thanks for your input. It's probably me with the mesh. It's not easy to learn. I'm experimenting with a demo before I buy. So I guess my problem is my figuring out the mesh bodies.
  11. i don't do much as far as activities and I surely don't build anything....I might stick with the one I have. Only because I'm use to it. Changing would mean I'd be starting all over again. And I don't have anyone to direct me. Thanks for your input I'll do a little bit more research before jumping to a new viewer.
  12. I'm wondering which viewer (if that's what it's called) is easier to use? I'm using SL and have used it for years but I see a lot mentioned about Firestorm and didn't know the difference. I'm trying to learn how the mesh bodies work and needless to say it's been an epic fail. Would Firestorm be easier?
