The last time I tried helping a newbie they decided SL was too hard and they were going to delete their account seconds later they vanished presumably never to be seen again. so i don't think i'm the right person to be helping noobs

Anyone with a rez date on or before circa November 10 2010 when you automatically got to choose a last name via LL sign up, i know my oldest resident account from the 15th was created within a few of days of that placeholder coming in so no one else got it. I'm aware there were third party portals offering last names for a few months longer, because I have it bookmarked i believe one called scilands was the last one to have them. I'm not sure anyone other than established residents would have really known about them at the time to snag a last name

It sort of does, at the train station of the Linden Homes demo region at the newbie welcome hub has a P.A.T (personal automated transport) rezzer. it will take you through a tour of some of the Log District to another newbie/demo pair of regions. It would be nice if there were more of those or even the mainland pod tours going to the community regions and significant points of interest in Bellisseria

i can't remember where i was, but thinking i was clicking to cam something I managed to enter a contest to win a Bombshell body. I saw on the small print that the winner(s) would be choose by AI which gives everyone a fair chance. To see the only real difference with Bombshell is the títs gives me just that little bit more of a reason to dislike the TMP meshbody Lagacy brand. this change could have been handled by a sub L$1k add-on like other bodies rather than forcing people to spend L$5k on a full body to get it. for that reason I don't see it doing too well

Speaking of Linden Homes i like to switch some things up from time to time, not entirely happy with the chairs i was using, after going through my inventory i think I found the perfect sofa for my TV area.

If you don't mind giving away older now outdated sculpt items i have some full perm kits that allow for giving away free/gifting, if you are still looking for items. A lucky chair/board alone won't drive traffic to your location, i have one inworld even midnight mania almost no one visits just for them. however i find them a nice bonus if a place happens to have one

My dad is exactly like that except he's never cared for "CW" aka Morse and these days prefers to use something called "Echolink" on his computer rather than his fancy transceiver. If my brother knows of SL beyond what may have been seen on my computer, it's not the type of game he likes to play with friends

I would have thought it's most likely you interacted with a game owned by the Cashcove operator at some point somewhere on the grid, for instance some of the operators at the welcome hub freeplay skill game region give you credit to use at their main location instead of L$. You can't cash out the L$200 credit you do need the minimum stake in your balance which was L$20 on the game i played and that was repaid every time until i'd used up the credit, i walked away richer than when I started.

Have you ever been to that region in the past? I got the same offline IM went to the region, it's a skill game one looked vaguely familiar. may have been an operator that gave away credit at a skill games fair that once took place at Bellisseria Fairgrounds (haven't heard of one since) clicked the relevant board did indeed have L$200 credit so i used it won some money. Since that only skill games fair i know of i have occasionally received offline's and local chat messages from skill games regions giving me credit to use

I did take a quick mooch around there, i actually expected it would be in the dedicated community exhibit region the laser tag had been turfed out for rather than an adjoining corner of the welcome hub

There are gulls in the houseboat regions of old Belli, they especially British gulls love to nick chips. I spotted this gull noshing on a tray of chips someone had discarded

Bleaberry Tarn is a real life place in the Lake District in England. it's probably closer to the RL Buttermere than the one on the SL Lake District regions of Sansara

Not a fan myself, but i did catch something on the news a few days ago about her next album being a player for Kansas City Chiefs.

Nearly all my shopping is from weekend sales these days, a lot is impulse buys: see it, like it, buy it. however with the new price increases going on it's turning in to more considered buying as spending up to L$100 an item rapidly mounts up. I have things that catch my eye from browsing the marketplace saved to my wish/watch list but i almost never get round to buying them
