Since the mobile accidents that were the AMTs were banished (and even then, had lots of fun driving over them in the Hetzer) I've not really been bothered by robot stuff on the roads (and thanks - even as a rider I hadn't realised the pods ran on KFM as I had stopped trying to find a use for it - might go back to that for piloted stuff) As a bit of a coder and after 30 years where programming of all sorts was 50% of my real life work I am still a bit lost - can anyone introduce me to the activities and practioners of this horrid culture I am supposed to be part of? Feel I am missing out on something here. Is there a secret clubhouse or something? Or a tshirt?

'SL has parking meters...' what a neat little earner. Wish I'd thought of that. In all my trundling around the mainland I always relied on making a note (initially by eye now sometimes with a little attachment that read parcel perms and grabs its details for retrieval later) and heading back there if I decided to have a wander on foot or the vehicle orbitted etc.

People allowing you to rez your stuff on their land to use? Why not. Pay you once and thats it? Sure, not going there. You do know about no transfer perms by now (and someone else can get into group deeded as I gave up a long time back). Easier to have land and rent your - 5k house.

@arton Rotaru and having had the chance to play with your stuff, good they are too. I write my own too as I can't stand the usual keyboard controls but like all things, the script set mentioned has brand recognition so can see why its used. (And in its defence if needed, I have played with the set mentioned and while it is a bit over egged for my needs there is nothing intrinsically wrong and its a great gift to the grid. On the subject of adding whole xpose etc anims - seriously, how many can you use on the back of a NorVin? OK its roughly 5 but thats another story).

If can get one of our haulers registered I might just give this a go. Looks fun and an excuse to go for a clank around the mainland.

In hoom mode I have one stand and one squat, triggered when I want. Otherwise I erm use whatever I am erm doing - dance as a polite example. After some years of seeing people checking the bottom of a shoe for erm stuff I am almost tempted to file a Jira request to block others AO animations ..

Well mine did too simply because that post about being given help summed up certain bits of SL that I have enjoyed over the years. (totally random acts of being nice just because, money or not). Also partly because of the posters description of their benefactor
