Please be aware that millennials can be blamed for anything bad in SL, too. So if you have a boyfriend and they break up with you - a millennial probably stole him. Tier expired? Millennial. Your favorite pants fall into SL doom? Millennial. Be aware. They're everywhere.

Try searching Mesh Body Addicts - they have a chart for issues like this with most of the skin designers in SL. I’m sure there are a couple of stores that have slipped through the cracks, but it’s a start!

I admit that I don't go to blogs much past looking at the pretty photos, but I will say that ultimately what you do with your own blog should be up to you. It is the "new" career so to speak since the new wave of advertisement seems to go through events and blogs, and everyone likes "free stuff" (I promise I'm not trying to offend, nor open up a can of worms with you bloggers). There will always be people in SL who want to learn new things - your biggest issue will be finding those people.

I should have been more clear, which is definitely my fault. I do not play anything aside from Secondlife. I’m not a gamer by any means, and my time on my computer for free time consists of Secondlife or editing photos from Secondlife utilizing photoshop. I would like to dabble into building at some point (Blender) but aside from that, I have a light weight laptop I use for movies and other funsies little things. I don’t often multitask, so I might have discord, Secondlife, and photoshop up at the same time at max.

Peeking into this because my gaming laptop is rapidly declining, which is incredibly disheartening for me because I love the little monster. I'm somewhat tech-challenged and do not understand all the mumbo jumbo, but I have been researching. My biggest question is WHAT does SL pull from the PC the most? What should I set aside in my budget for things I definitely should not slack on (for better use of the word)? I've heard that a good graphics card doesn't do it, and I need the perfect mesh to be able to get shadows and all those special bits. My main gig that I do in secondlife is photography and therefore I really need the graphics to flow. I am not on a 1,000 USD budget, but I don't really want to spend more than $1800. My RL partner built his own, but he does not play SL and usually lurks around WoW and other single and multi-player games that I have no interest in, and I have heard that SL utilizes graphics differently than those types do. Is it hard to switch to AMD when you've been nothing but Intel for years?

I updated a couple of days ago, and now Firestorm won't boot up past "VFS" - rolling back to my January update, I suppose.

Have you also looked at Pumec or Spirit Skins? It’s been a while since I’ve done some skinning, but worse comes to worse, there is the “Skin Addiction” in world group that you can join and ask!

A lot (a LOT) of people on my friends list are photography, landscaping, or wedding clients who may or may not need me for something, and I won’t message them first because of our professional relationship. That isn’t to say that I wouldn’t be open to friendship, but generally those people have their own circles and only discovered me to fulfill a need within my skill set. That being said, I am incredibly busy in my SL and don’t always have time to “hang” like I did in years past. There are people on my list who I spend time with as regularly as I can, but that may not be a frequent amount. I’m very much the type of person who can go for months without speaking to somebody and still consider them a friend, though.

Also, because nobody has mentioned any plants - DFS has some that grow, but you need to water them and such, and they do come with temp prims that rezz out, so your parcel will need to be able to have the extra space for them. If you're okay with non-growing plants, Jian also has some cute farm crops, I believe.
