  2. my "favourite" of all of my one star reviews is from a customer who wrote she refuses to pay for demos (1L$), that's why she went ahead and bought the actual product (650L$) without trying a demo. She didnt like it because it was showing too much ass crack, so one star because 650L wasted (*facepalm*). I didn't even flag it, as it looks perfectly legit, and it's still there to this day. One of my best selling items.
  3. yet, a certain well-known fullperm clothing creator manages to get 95% of their reviews removed that are less than 4 stars. I watch their store daily and as soon as a less-than-4-star review appears you can bet your money on it that within next 7-10 days it will be removed. No matter what was in the review and how legit it was. I have seen very reasonable and very useful bad reviews removed from their store, and also there are a lot of comments under others' reviews where people mention "my bad review was removed, too". I have no explanation for why nearly all bad reviews of that store get systematically removed, other than that this store either is some kind of a special favourite of LL, or they keep filing tickets and reopening them until a Linden is so fed up with it that they just remove it. Which is really a great shame because this store has no demos and a review is the only way for people to know what's wrong with an item.
  4. if they do that everybody will see that 95% of all listings can be reported for keyword spam. Which is why singling out just one merchant with a 14 (!!) day complete lockout ban seems a bit harsh to me, if not a bit unfair... If LL wanted to teach them a lesson i think 3 days would have been more than enough.

  8. I recall that i had a request from a customer recently about the same thing: they bought a gown for themselves and one for a friend, and both went to them instead. They asked me to send a copy to a friend, as they paid twice.I did, as MP records confirmed their story. Unfortunately i cannot seem to find their name, as i don't keep emails from SL. If this happens again, i will have to create a JIRA if it hasn't been reported yet.
  9. i have a hotmail account and i'm still missing about 10-15% of all email notifications daily. This started last week. I remember that during the years this bug has been appearing now and then, with varying severity. This time it's quite "light", but still annoying. Is anything being done at all, or are we supposed to just change the email? I've used this very same email address for SL for 11 years. I've had long ago made a special message rule that roots all incoming sales messages to a special folder... Also, LL has been noticeably quiet since the beginning of the year...
  10. if that was pointed at me, then i must have been living under a rock because this apparently "common knowledge" was not mine. Hence, the Prok's post above is a bit confusing to me. I do know that a person called Prokofy Neva has been around for a while and is apparently very famous in some circles, of which i am no part of. I just know that Prokofy is an old russian male name so i was surprised to see people calling him "she" and was curious why that was. Since there is another old russian male name Nikita that has turned into a female name in the West thanks to a famous pop song, i was just curious if something like that was happening here too. I am not aware of all that personal drama that has been going on with Prokofy apparently, and wish to stay out of it.

  12. well this seems to have been fixed. Whether it is a temporary fix (as in "see you next yearchange"), or permanent (as in "never ever again") remains to be seen. I'm not taking any chances anymore. I'm putting this warning/reminder to self in my December'19 calendar to download all transactions before December 31st. Better safe than sorry.
  13. Thanks a lot HunniHope! I just hope i will not lose transactions for Dec 1st this time, like i did last year because by the time they fixed it it wasn't available to me anymore.
  14. aaaaaaaaaand.... what d'ya know: new year, same problem!!! i can just as well copy/paste everything i wrote here!! Unbelievable! what's going on: December transactions on transaction history page are completely unavailable!! I'm on non-premium account. Let me guess: before this is fixed, we are going to lose a few days from the beginning of December, because only the last 32 days are available........... AGAIN. Why am i even surprised... i should have known better... Happy New Year LL. Edited to add: Somebody please file a JIRA. I have no idea how to do that, sorry.

The way I see it: the only one who's been bashed here is the OP, for her way of writing (OMG aren't you all a bunch of snowflakes when it suits you, as you all agreed with her in the other thread). The shop in question got a lot of free publicity thanks to this thread and more attention than their stuff deserves, and I'm sure has made a lot more money than say their neighbour at the event. EXACTLY. You can run your business the way you like of course. Me I'm taking notes. If the OP (and the other shoppers) don't give feedback like that, that's fine with me too: the more clueless merchants there are, the more of their potential sales will go to those of us who do get a clue. :3
  16. And the saddest thing is that they did get selected over some great quality brands who applied but never got the chance. I wonder which Linden exactly is responsible for the selection process, or has this been outsourced to some blogging diva. Edit to add: I was made to believe this was some kind of prestigious event, with only the best top brands and the highest quality top products. The OP shows that the quality of the products clearly wasn't the most important selection criteria for this event. Also, about 3/4 of all listed brands I have never even heard of. I see at least one of them is not even original mesh items but uses full perm mesh templates. I guess I was wrong expecting only the top quality from a Linden event...

The question arises: Is this "per store Best Selling" sorting list the exact same thing as "global Best Selling" sorting list (the one accessible from the main page, https://marketplace.secondlife.com/products/search?search[sort]=sales_rank_asc down on the left)? If it is the same sorting algorithm indeed, then that global Best Selling list is royally screwed, too! Yet, i am sure a lot of people make use of that one. I know i do, and have been for many years. Also, whenever one of my items ends up on the first page of that global Best Selling list, it immediately start selling like crazy, so i imagine that is indicating that many people do make use of that list. If it was to be removed, me personally i would definitely miss it.
  18. what i don't understand: why are products being delisted if they are indeed in the correct category as instructed by Lindens themselves?? Sure angry humans can flag them because they think furry items don't belong in those categories, it does still take a Linden to delist them!! If the product is listed in the right category as instructed by Lindens, then a Linden reviewing a wrong flag should just ignore it, not delist again??

The self-important and self-righteous clique of tech elitist here seem to forget that there is a whole world out there of hobbyist (and not so) mesh creators who have absolutely no idea of the existence of such a thing as fitted mesh LoD bug at all. I know i didn't 3 days ago, and i only accidentally stumbled upon this thread when i came to this part of forum (which i never visit) looking for info about something completely different. Apparently, the sky is falling down, and i am convinced that a major part of mesh creators out there are not even aware of that. I am not sure why and how all of you are so sure that every mesh creator knows and cheats. I will say it again and this will be my last time - i have no intentions of changing anything at all in my workflow. Had i not come to this part of the forum 3 days ago and read this thread, i would have never even known of such a thing as fitted mesh LoD bug, and so i will continue behaving like i never did. Everything that happens (or doesn't) concerning this bug is on LL. I, along with other unaware mesh creators out there, are not to blame for this mess.
  20. huh?? ChinRey were extensively explaining the triple LoD bug on fitted mesh and she wrote earlier in this thread that because of these LoD bugs lower LoDs rarely get used at all. See page 2 of this thread. So, are you telling me it is NOT true?? Guys you are confusing me very much now. I repeat, i only make fitted mesh and this is what we were talking about. Optimizing fitted mesh. yes you definitely should, if i am talking about the app you use and i never have. Like, if i would be talking about Blender. However, i wasn't, but i was talking about 3ds max, the app i have more experience in using, apparently.
  21. so have i, but on top of it it is me who's been working in 3ds max for 12 years but neither of you seem to know much about it, so you will excuse me if i don't take your word for it. It is easy for you to claim certain things about optimizing when you have no idea what a Pro-optimized mesh even looks like compared to the one that Uploader generates. fair enough
  22. sighs... no i am not all that interested in finding answers to how i can optimize my meshes' LoDs after i was just told any LoDs other than the highest don't even matter apparently. I'm just fine with the way it is, thank you.
