  1. it looks like they have changed the tier levels since that old post. My tier level limit numbers are different than is shown in that table. If those are different, then who knows what levels there are now at all...
  2. Ban List for Marketplace JIRA should be as old as Marketplace itself. I remember voting for it (and watching it) many many years ago, and back then there was already something like 50+ votes. It was also filed under "nice to have" priority, which was like the least priority possible. I imagine JIRA system has been updated since then or something, but that's not our (merchants') fault or problem.
  3. So that the Customer Support could reply: "As a Service Provider, Linden Lab is not at liberty to intercede in business related issues between Second Life Users. As with any transaction among Residents, Linden Lab has very limited capacity to resolve disputes. If you believe that the review comments are in violation of the Terms of Service, Community Standards, or the Marketplace Listing Guidelines, please report the review using the "Flag this review" link that is located directly beneath the review comments on the Product Listing." ... and close the ticket without reading? There is a review on one of my items that is legit for removal. I have flagged it myself on April 12, and had a friend flagging it as well, it has not been removed to this day. I would like it to be looked at again, because according to Dakota Linden's post here >> "Examples of reviews that will be removed under this option include, but are not limited to, the following: * Item Description says '5 standard sizes' - buyer submits review saying no sizing for XXX Mesh Body type. " This item is old and was made in the *pre-mesh body* era. Therefore it is unreasonable to expect (or to demand) it to fit mesh bodies. However, flagging by me and by a friend didn't get it removed, and creating a support ticket as Dakota suggested here, has yielded this reply ^ (see above). Is it an example of "the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing", or something?
  4. and btw, what's with that Turbosquid comparison? Things that you buy on there are 3D models that can be (and are) used anywhere else, and for all kinds of purposes, even commercially (i believe?) What of what we buy on MP can we use outside of SL? What use is it to anyone other than a SL user? How can this even be compared to SL Marketplace?
  5. Our speculation is better than yours because it has much more ground and facts from the past to support it, while yours is based on nothing but your personal good faith in LL. We will see soon enough which frog will laugh the last. I will gladly eat my hat if the commissions fee raise is 2.5%. Hell, i might even get a bottle of champagne to celebrate that we got off so lightly this time! But if it is indeed 25% however, remind me to rub it in your faces. PS. I was already wondering when you were going to inform us all (as you usually do) that the Wise one has left the building...
  6. no it's not. Even not looking outside of SL at all, just within SL's own environment, - if LL kept steadily increasing MP commissions with 1% each year starting many years ago, we'd just call it inflation and nobody would say a word of complaint. When they increase commissions from 5% to 30% (or even 25%) overnight, you should expect major shock waves. What happens when RL economy inflation is 30%, is that considered healthy?
  7. Exactly. Make a full list out of all MP improvements suggested in this entire thread. Then looking at each entry, ask yourself this question: how much money and resources will it take to implement? And then you will get an idea of what to expect in the end. It will be those things that will cost (next to) nothing for LL to implement. Because really, do you believe LL, - who are apparently in a great need of their revenue increase, - are prepared to invest into a better Marketplace, just to make/keep the merchants happy? It will be something easy, and most likely something quite useless... Although deleting old obsolete listings sounds easy to implement (i'm not a programmer, so no idea actually) and could be one of the few useful things...
  8. Nothing mentioned in this entire thread is worth the 30% commissions fee increase. Nothing. LL can keep it. It's just another one of those "exciting new features" they were selling us last time as an excuse for the process credit fee increase, which several people here called an "insult to our intelligence". I have lived without all those things for years, i could continue doing so, instead of paying 30% fee for any of these. There is only one thing that i would like to have (from the things mentioned), ability to ban certain people from MP stores. I remember this Jira entry was labeled by LL "Nice to have" 6-7 years ago.
  9. so if the MP commissions fee goes up, we can always increase prices on MP vs in-world, no? I know that is technically not allowed but if you upload 2 meshes for everything you make, with a difference of a couple of polygons or something, it will technically not even be the same item, it will have different ID and time stamp, so technically you could call it "MP version" and sell it for more on MP, to offset the 25%. Customers will quickly learn what's the catch, those who are in a hurry or have plenty of money can shop on MP, those who don't will come to the in-world store.
  10. The only ones who really feel the pain of this raise are the ones who rely on SL for their RL livelihood. Like Rya, Pamela, me. All the rest (for whom SL is a nice hobby, pocket money, or who has no SL income at all) will never be able to relate. Don't expect any empathy from them. Most only think we are crazy and have only ourselves to blame if anything bad happens to our businesses. And they are actually right - relying on SL as the solely income is a gamble. I have been around here for more than 10 years, and i have made a lot of money in the pre mesh times. I am forever thankful for that, because it came unexpected (when i first started out) and i have always considered myself lucky, even if i work(ed) my a** off to achieve it. Realize that most people won't understand what we do, or why. They consider us freaks, dreamers, gamblers, which is why whenever we are hit by any significant SL change they will only gloat and think/say: "Maybe you should have better stuck with a normal RL job, like everybody else does." Don't expect any empathy from them. Especially when you are trying to tell them that "cashing out 5000 US$ (!!!)" will cost you lots more now. Maybe if their RL boss tomorrow decides to cut their salary (or their government decides to cut their social benefits) with 250 US$ they will feel like you do now, but they will hardly make a connection and relate or feel your pain even then. They will therefore use any opportunity to tell us to shut the hell up and suck it up, because maybe in a way it makes them feel better. Just ignore them, they have no clue what you have been through and what it took to get you where you are. You should be proud instead, because you know YOU make SL a better (looking) place.
  11. We need a third party marketplace, like XStreet, with its own delivery system like old Magic Boxes, that would operate directly in US$.
  12. apparently it has been fixed. At least it works for me now. But, as i feared, the December 1st is not available anymore, so my sales statistics for December are now incomplete...
  13. looks like we're stuck with this form of the "millennium bug" until LL come back to work from holidays... and when they do, i hope they will grant us the common folks possibility to look up more than 32 days of transaction history - as i am sure many of us will need to download the sales statistics for the entire December, to be able to do the balance for the year 2017. At least temporarily...
  14. Thank you Dakota and Pamela! That's exactly what i thought too, as it happened when this chaos with Marketplace has just started... I figured it was probably "all hands on deck" situation, so i gave it a few weeks... When nothing happened i asked my friends to flag it as well, hoping it will "bump it up". Still nothing happened after that. The review was from mid November. I don't remember the exact date because it just got removed, finally! But next time it happens again, i will do as you suggested, thanks!
  15. I have a one star review titled "Can't open it" that says only this: " I got the demo but when I try to unpack it it tells me it's not for sale. " What does this even mean? It's just a demo packed into a box. I assume something went wrong during the delivery and the box went wonky and the customer couldn't unpack it. She immediately left this review, like within minutes. Then according to my sales records she bought another copy of the same demo just a few minutes later. Apparently that one was fine because she went ahead and actually bought the final product as well right after! And i am stuck here with this one star review. I flagged it under Delivery Failure option, i left 2 comments explaining the situation. Nothing happened. Then i asked my friends to flag the review as well, again nothing happened. It's still there to this day. I have no habit of contacting customers begging them to remove/change reviews. I feel i shouldn't have to. The review team should review the reviews and remove the unfair ones. So will Dakota Linden please explain to me how and why this review is legit and fair that it doesn't get removed? Or can somebody explain what the review even means?
  16. I know exactly how it works. Which is why i'm saying, Marketplace fee will go up some time soon. It's not a question of "if", it's a question of "when". I've been waiting for it for years. I'm not sure why it hasn't happen yet... Too difficult to implement? And, some excuse is always needed, however lame. Like " that is necessary to cover the costs of making sure people are not money laundering "
  17. next, some time soon, Marketplace fee is going to increase too, mark my words... I wonder what the excuse for that one is going to be...
  18. Now you've lost me completely. My first review request is dated April 19. It has been denied (by you no less! or at least you were the one commenting on my case). You wrote: "You will have to wait to request a tier increase in another 60 days from your initial request date (06/09/2017). For future limit reviews, please open another support ticket (Billing, Type: LindeX Billing and Trading Limits Review Request)." I didn't understand why you wrote June 9th, - 60 days from my initial request of April 19 would not be June 9. I thought it would be logical that LL would review limits every 30 days (as you just wrote up here ^ too). So i thought it was some mistake, so i went ahead and applied for another review request on May 23. I got the same reply: "Our records show that your account recently had its trading limits reviewed on April 21rd 2017, and will not be eligible for another review until after June 9th 2017." (signed by Ginger Linden) Dear Dakota Linden, please explain: if LL will review the trading limits every 30 days, then why i have to wait 6-7 weeks instead of 30 days? Thank you.
  19. LL have access to a lot of things. It seems that they often just choose to not access certain things. When it suits them somehow.
  20. really? just like that? what information do you provide then? i mean you will have to prove that 1) a double purchase has taken place; 2) that you refunded the customer... Do they actually take time to verify that information and even refund the merchant? Wow, i didn't know that, sounds like so much trouble...
  21. i wanna bet the fee LL charged will stay where it went - with LL! - i don't believe LL is going to refund the merchants, as it is a final purchase. The merchant can choose not to refund the customer at all and LL have no way of knowing whether the merchant did or didn't. Basically, if the merchant chooses to refund the customer's money minus LL commissions, it is the customer who will be losing some money anyway. If the merchant chooses to refund the full price it will be the merchant who loses money. Either way, i wanna bet it won't be LL that is losing money...
  22. exactly!! I guess LL don't need anymore those splendid statistics of how much US$ residents have made in SL, that they were so proud of a couple of years ago... Because these idiotic rules have certainly smothered a few more successful business out there i imagine... I did give up. For now. Apparently it is even more idiotic than we thought. If you applied for leveling up of your Process Credit Limits, and your request have been denied (like mine was), you must wait 6 weeks before you can apply again!! So the next time i can apply for a higher tier is another 2 weeks away, and if then it gets denied again, it will probably be sometime by the end of summer that i might finally get approved....
  23. Again, i was withdrawing 10000$ not every 6 months, but every 4 months. It looks like 6 to you, because you are viewing the last 6 months only, and have caught me literally a week or two right before I was going to make another one of those 10000$ withdrawals. Of course, if you review past 6 months and thus divide it by 6, it will be 1667 a month. But if you review it over 12 months, it all evens out. Basically, i'm screwed. Whoever thought of this brilliant plan, is not very good in math and not very good in running business either. If i have a need to withdraw 10000$ in 4 months, and can only withdraw 8000$ ( 4x2000$ ), LL are smothering my business. I need to limit my sales in order to be able to get all that hoarded money out first, and with limiting my sales (or shutting down my store) LL is losing their own 5% cut too. But you keep sticking to your brilliant plan where everybody loses. I'll apply for another Billing and Trading limits raise next month.
  24. @Chic Aeon: No i haven't tried calling them. TBH the idea terrifies me. English is not my native language, and then this entire situation p**s me off, i am sure i will lose my cool at some point, and then there is also the cost of calling from Europe... You are probably right though.
