I saw his reply. My opinion that it's not entirely fitting is exactly the reason you state - that it's often misunderstood. The word "safe" in the name is easily confused with what the term more commonly used for, which is safe from harm.

I kind of agree that the name Safe Hub is not entirely fitting.. at least not anymore. But I hope you are finding new places to go to instead of the places that have traumatized you! I don't think LL has to do anything to "make up" for trauma that any of us may experience on the platform. At the end of the day, we're responsible for our own experiences and for what we choose to do here. There have been times I wished LL would step in a bit more in certain aspects but I don't think they'll be directing their resources to hand-holding anyone through situations that the user can take themselves out of. If you've noticed certain places that are prone to griefing, keep searching for other places to go. There are so many cool destinations but you won't discover them if you're too caught up on being volunteer sheriff at the info hub 🙂

I met friends while doing my own thing, like exploring beaches and other sims, and sorting stuff at sandboxes. I'd say dont try too hard pretending to think or like something if you really don't. I can usually tell when someone's not completely for real, it shows. Even if it doesn't, that friendship wouldn't last very long anyway.

Having just paid 250L to join a group and the next day that group becomes free to join! Don't know if it's really a peeve.. but it's something! 😧

Don't think I've ever had that happen before but if you bought it from mp, maybe you can try the redeliver option? Crashes can cause all sorts of problems but this one's new to me 😞

My pet peeve is not being able to see when an item on mp was listed and when the seller last logged on, the way you can see in some groups. Wouldn't it be useful to remove the uncertainty of whether an item is a thousand years old or whether contacting the seller would be equivalent to sending a message into the void?

Speaking of landing on heads, my pet peeve is when I'm in my skydome and some rando suddenly appears on top of my head! That's happened to me a few times already! My security orb ejects them but only after they give me a jump 😨

Getting bumped is no big deal to me at all. I just assume they have "Show Friends Only" on and that, to me, is understandable. Unless it was like in Seicher's case where it was constant, in any other case it's not like I'm physically moved irl, it's not like it's a huge inconvenience, and they didn't know I was there. I wish there was a better way than the mini map to know where avatars are though, that would be cool.

When people ask me where I'm from irl, they're often after my cultural background rather than where I exited my mom's womb. IMO cultural background and heritage can sometimes be a more meaningful answer, and can sometimes tell you more about someone.

The empty box thing has happened to me a couple of times. I tend to freak out and assume I've been scammed, but luckily after some time and a few notecard attempts, I've gotten my items in the end. What I do though while I'm waiting for a response is see if any of their groups can tell me when they've last logged on because not receiving a response doesn't always mean it's intentional. Sometimes notecards don't get through or the person just hasn't logged on in a while. I guess your case is different since others have had issues with that same seller as well. Anyway, good luck. Totally sucks.

Hi WhisperingPond This is the definition of rezzing from wiki: Rez in Second Life means to create or to make an object appear. Rezzing an object/prim can be done by dragging it from a resident's inventory or by creating a new one via the edit window. So whenever you're dragging something from your inventory onto land, you are rezzing it. Different parcels have different rezzing permissions. So rezzing at a sandbox has nothing to do with rezzing anywhere else. If your friend has rezzed something at a sandbox, that item will appear at that sandbox. But if your friend wants that item to appear (i.e. rezzed) at your parcel, you will need to grant rezzing permissions to your friend for that item to be rezzed on your land. Hope that wasn't too confusing

If you don't need to rez your stuff, sort your inventory in front of some lucky boards so you can get more stuff to sort 😃

Sales that advertise items as being, say 50% off but actually aren't. I don't know if anyone else does this but I always check against the retail price and it's almost as if those creators assume their customers can't do math.

I'm creating a male alt and I really want this tattoo I saw in a pose ad. Does anyone know where the tattoo is from? I did think of asking the pose store owner, but the ad is from 2017 so I don't want to be THAT person 😐

Unless you want the hair right now or for a special occasion, you could just wait for whenever they have a store sale. You can follow them on social to keep updated. I tend to do that 🙂

Hm there were a few but the ones I remember at the top of my head were Blueberry and adrianamori. They seem pretty PG so it's weird.
