  1. By default, PERMISSION_TAKE_CONTROLS is granted automatically to attachments and items you sit on. Is it possible to prevent this? A lot of chairs and sofas, and some attachments, take control of the CONTROL_UP and/or CONTROL_DOWN keys (PgUp/E, PgDown/C) for allowing on-the-fly adjustments, with the undesirable collateral of making the key-combination "Alt+E", "Alt+C" unavailable for camera control. Since more often than not the corresponding scripts are nomod and/or in items I do not own, I am searching for a possibility to block the autmatic granting of this permission.
  2. I'm going to start off with an example leading into a question. Example: Your friend invites you to a group for the land they own. You move in with them and have a piece of furniture (We'll use a couch as a reference example.), This couch has //NO COPY, NO MOD, TRANSFER// permissions. Subject: If I decorate our new room with this couch and one day the owner of the land kicks me out.... Question 1: Will I still get all my //Transfer only// objects back? Question 2: What would happen if the object would be returned? Question 3: What would happen if the object would be deleted by someone else? Question 4: Is there any chance I would lose the object?
  3. Boxing 2 items of different permissions

Howdy! im new in the MP as a seller and im trying to sell 2 things with different permissions: 1 Gacha skin no copy no mod transfer 2. A bento shape for that skin Copy NO mod, NO transfer. My question is if i can put that together in one box as sell it as a combo, as i want. or how can i do to sell them together, but keeping those permisions, so the shape doesnt become modify or transfer. Thank you so much in advice! ♥
  4. Pose Vendor and Requesting Permissions

Hey all, I have a pose vendor script that I am trying to modify to my needs. I have everything working as I want, with the exception of the permissions needed to run the animations correctly. At the moment, when the script is reset and I stand my main avatar on the pose stand everything is working as intended. If I again reset the script, but place my alt avatar on the stand, my alt just sits - no error messages. The controls to switch the animations in the stand works as intended, but no animation is played, just a default sit. Upon standing, I get the "Script trying to stop animations but PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION permission not set" error. If I place my main avatar back onto the pose stand without resetting the script, everything works again - as well as placing my alt onto the stand, everything works. So it seems as the permissions are being granted to my main avatar, and the stand holds those permissions until the script is reset. Somewhere along the line, the script is not granting permissions to others. If someone is able to help me with this and help me understand why its not working correctly, I'd greatly appreciate it. I have a very basic understanding of scripting, but can usually work my way through problems with the help of the wiki and forum searches. This one has me stumped though. I'll include a snippet of the code where I am trying to request the permissions to animate below. changed(integer change) { if(change == CHANGED_LINK) { avatar = llAvatarOnSitTarget(); if(avatar != NULL_KEY) { llRequestPermissions(avatar, PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION); start(); } else { if (llGetPermissionsKey() != NULL_KEY) { llStopAnimation(curranim); anim_on = FALSE; default1(); } } } } run_time_permissions(integer perm) { if(perm == PERMISSION_TRIGGER_ANIMATION) { llStopAnimation("sit"); llStartAnimation(curranim); anim_on = TRUE; } } Below are the code for the start() and default1() states. I don't know if the info in them are necessary to solve the problem, but since the above code directs to them, maybe something in there is the cause of the problem? start() { llSetClickAction(CLICK_ACTION_TOUCH); total=llGetInventoryNumber(INVENTORY_ANIMATION); vendorname = llGetObjectName(); counter=0; lastanim = curranim; curranim = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_ANIMATION, 0); if (price > 0) { hovertext(); } } default1() { GreetingText(); llSetClickAction(CLICK_ACTION_SIT); llSetTimerEvent(time); } I don't want to post the whole script here, so if more info is needed, I would be glad to share through in world messaging. Thanks!
  5. Some Linden Labs sandboxes have Build enabled for everyone, but have Object Entry disabled. This is a strange combination. You can create prims and rez existing objects. You can rez a vehicle and drive it. But if you get out of the vehicle, it immediately disappears and is returned to the owner, because it's now considered an "entering object". Is there some good reason for this, or is it just a bad permission setting?

  7. Wrong Permissions in Inventory?

I want to sell a texture applier on the Marketplace. It's a modified version of a copy/no-mod/trans applier, and the instructions say to change the permissions of the copy/no-mod/trans script inside. I did so by rezzing the applier and setting both things as copy/no-mod/no-trans. However, when I take the applier back into my inventory, it's still labeled as copy/no-mod/trans. I'm concerned that if I sell it as it is now, it's going to have those permissions and not the ones I changed it to. Is it showing up as that for me because I'm the current owner? Will the permissions change once someone buys the applier? I'm asking to make sure since I'm new to selling.
  8. Hello I'm doing an installer, an object rezzed from a worn attachment, to be able to drop content inthe installer, which then can copy it's content into the initial attachment. The installer to rez is in the root prim of the attachment, as well as the script used to rez it. All is for the same owner (the avatar on which it's attached) The content is copied to a child link of the attachment (key sent to the installer via after-rez handshake) Content to copy are textures. Although all belong to the same owner, I have issues with textures not having the transfer perm. I get a Debug window error listing items that couldn't be copied. Here is the piece of code doing the copy: count = llGetInventoryNumber(INVENTORY_TEXTURE); if (count) { list copy; for (i = 0; i < count; ++i) { name = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_TEXTURE, i); if (PERM_COPY & llGetInventoryPermMask(name, MASK_OWNER)) { copy += name; } } if ([] == copy) { llOwnerSay("No copiable item found."); } else { llGiveInventoryList(sendTo, llGetObjectName(), copy); } } So as the owner does not change, why I get this issue, and how to fix it? Cheers
  9. I have a building I am wanting to sell, made of bought full perm mesh and my own original mesh. I have set all permissions to full perm in order to send it to my store account. However when I get it in my inventory in my store account, the permissions have changed. Whether its, no copy,mo mod. Or no tranfer, no copy. Or all three. I just can't seem to send it full perms. I have checked all door scripts, and made sure they are set to copy/trans/no mod as per the script writers request. I have detached all doors and sent just the structure, to no avail. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be going on? Cheers
  10. I just received a pretty hard hitting review, but unfortunately I don't know exactly how to respond in this situation. For background: Most of my home furniture products are transfer only, and the listing does show this on the right hand side of the listing. However, the review I just received showed a lot of hostility over how I choose to sell my products, even though my listing tells you it is no copy, no modify. How should I handle the situation? Refund? Apologies? Or is this not a good review? I'm not sure if I'm in the right here. Thank you for any help.
  11. Prim Permissions

I made an object that I provided to a friend who wanted to deed it to his group. He reported that the "Deed" option on the prim was grayed out. To check this question I rezed a new prim on my land and sure enough the deed option is grayed out. I've tried allowing all permissions, modify, copy, transfer on a prim but still the deed is function is not there. Obviously, I'm missing something basic, but can't find it.
  12. Content Permissions

I made an object with a script and not understanding permissions, I unchecked all of the "Content Permissions' associated with the object. Now, a user isn't able to get the script to function...I'm assuming that the act of unchecking Scripts in Content Permissions effectively turned off the script? I can't find any documentation on these permissions at all, the wiki page just has their icons...
