    This happened to me too. I have a Maitreya body and a LAQ head and someone IM'd me and said "you do know you can get newer bodies and heads right"? Once I upgraded to a mesh body and head I have never changed it. Personally my body and face is what identifies me and changing it to something new seems weird to me. Also, most hair fits perfectly on me and there are tons of clothes for Maitreya. She wasn't rude or anything but why IM someone and say that? I sometimes think that those types of people are like that in RL too buying expensive purses and clothes just for the label. Me, I like knock offs.

    I predict this might be released in about two years, if then. They can't even rollout features promised for premium plus (2048 Linden homes) in a timely manner.

    All you can do is mute them and if you have a viewer that allows you to derender them do that as well. People say a lot of things that aren't true. I wouldn't waste your time trying to figure out to report him because it may not even be true. If they come on a new account, mute and derender them too.

    How does that screw anything up? Your monthly subscription should come out on the same date each month. I've never had any issues with autopay.

    I wouldn't use this same attitude when contacting them because for sure then you are getting nothing.

    I would imagine that a lot of people could have the same outfits at the same time since new releases are released to everyone on the same day. When a new hairstyle comes out that I like I will wear it the same day I buy it. Does the fact that 2000 other people are wearing it too bother me? No. I will also look at Flickr and copy the outfits down to the shoes and jewelry. This is the drama that needs to stop in SL. If you are that insecure about her copying you, then block and derender her. If you see her daily and have talked to her and asked her to stop and she won't then just ignore it. If you find it "creepy" then why hang out with her in the first place. People create their own problems in their head.

    Ok, but who determines this? Anyone can put themselves in authority. This whole idea presents problems and that is why LL doesn't get involved in resident to resident disputes.

    I'm curious why? I'm not understanding this. These are jobs not titles or special people. Anyone and everyone can be all these things and would just have to change their name to get around it. Maybe I'm not understanding? As far as not having walked in people's shoes that have been stalked or cyberbullied I will say that you don't know for sure who has or hasn't experienced this. I've been cyberbullied and stalked online. I still think that being able to hide your avatar from people or even your profile is a bad idea and makes it easier for people who engage in this type of behavior.

    This exact scenario happened to me as well but it happened in June of 2022. Hasn't happened since as far as I know.

    The HiVid TV synchs almost seamlessly to everyone's media. If the owner of the TV stops the stream it stops on everyone's. If someone comes in late it will start up where everyone is already viewing. One of the best TV's out there. Their In-world store is set up like a blockbuster store and is super fun to go look at what movies they have.     Blocking someone doesn't stop you from seeing someone unless you derender them as well.

    ACTUALLY, this is the best alternative proposal that I've seen in this thread. You wouldn't need a separate tier. Just charge $L1 per message after the first free 56. Then you'd get people talking in Local. "hey Orwar...I'd like to IM you. Do you have enough $L's to have a private conversation?" It might however ruin SLsex in IM if you happen to run out of $L at the very end.

    Do you really think that "reviews" are going to give people something to feel good about? Have you ever read Virtual Secrets. Sure...why not bring that trash INTO Second Life. Giving ratings and reviews are NOT social interaction.

    @Coffee PancakeDo you really think that people that spend $2000 US on a piece of virtual land will care about 100L? I can also see a lot of people hiring people to log in for them to get them "ratings". NOW you have a real problem. Or paying people to rate them.

    I think we can all agree that we don't want what you are proposing. I haven't read one post in 7 pages that supports your proposal though I didn't read the last two pages.

    How many times have a heard "Second Life is NOT a game", Yet this is exactly what this proposal turns Second Life into. Here's an example of how forced socialization does not work. BeYou is a Role player farming, cooking and crafting HUD. One of the metrics is to keep you social meter full. You can do that various way but the cheapest and*free* way is to interact with other avatars who are also wearing the HUD. 90% of the players rather spend $L to fill their social meter rather than have to socialize with other avatars. So much so that the developer had to make the non-socialization features less attractive and a lot of people quit. You can force people to socialize that won't or can't. They just won't participate.

    My point was how can you ask LL to enforce one policy but not want other policies enforced as well. I'm in agreement that they should be enforcing the bot policy but that also means that other policies should also be enforced. Be careful what you wish for.
