  1. I don't know about this two titles thing you have going on now, but I suppose you could be High Priestess *because* you are the Nefarious One. Regardless, your forum picture is definitely 'hole-ier' than the rest of ours.
  2. I don't use CATWA, so I don't know the answer, but I do know that CATWA has a very active group in-world with CSR's available for answering questions and providing help. Have you asked in the CATWA user group?
  3. That is the best description I've seen for the house-hopping game.
  4. If I'm remembering correctly, there is a HUD for changing the color on the set that says "fatpack". For the applier set, you need to make sure that you have the right layer worn and/or turned on - I don't know how this works with the BOM option and the ability to wear or not wear certain layers now (I haven't worn Maitreya since before BOM went live).
  5. Just finished up my first pass through all the homes (I'm sure I'll be back to re-look at a few of them). Everyone did such a nice job with the decorating - and it's fun to see names I recognize from reading in the forums here. One of the things that really impressed me was the wide range of décor styles shown, which is pretty cool considering the randomness of the sign-up process. I also enjoyed seeing the choices others made for some of the interior spaces of the homes. I look at a house and mentally assign uses to the different rooms - it's refreshing to see how others have made different choices, and how well it also works. It was also clear from reading the style cards, how much (and how nicely done) people modify furnishings purchased. I enjoyed seeing how people mixed and matched things from sets, or otherwise chose to modify items to fit in with their overall vision and design. "Well done!" to all the designers.
  6. Visiting the Bellisseria Demo areas at the Home & Garden Expo. I haven't gotten too far yet, but the homes, houseboats and trailers that I've seen so far have been very nicely decorated. I've already picked up a few ideas, especially for home styles that I hadn't tried out before, because I hadn't been sure what to do with them. If you go, be sure to click on the sign in front of each parcel to get the decorator's style card for all the furnishing info.
  7. Just an FYI, your post is not readable for those using the default forum theme, without selecting all of the text.
  8. Is this preview feature within the viewer in SL or in Sinespace? From as far as I could follow, posts about Sinespace and a bento outfit which 'moves' in SL have been interwoven.
  9. The questions posted above by Ariel above would apply to you also. Without more specific information it would be difficult for anyone to guess why they are not working for you. As far as I'm aware, I haven't heard mention in the forums of any grid wide or extensive issue regarding the ability to log in to tip jars. The original question was asked over 4 years ago, and the account who had the problem did not come back and post any additional information, so it is likely the problem was user error or some localized, one-time glitch.
  10. I haven't seen those in my part of the States, at least not at the stores that I frequent.
  11. I'll have to let my husband know - he's on E-bay all the time. I don't have an account there.
  12. My favorite Valentine's candy is the Necco Sweethearts conversation hearts that came in the little boxes. I'm sad because I haven't been able to find them the past several years, and this year it's even been difficult to find the Brach's brand of the little hearts (which were never quite as good as the Necco ones). These boxes of candy, I think, are the only thing that my husband has ever bought for me for Valentine's, though not on the day as much as randomly through out the first part of February,
  13. The only thing about Valentine's Day that I remember from school, is that in kindergarten after we decorated paper bags as 'mailboxes' for valentines cards - and before we passed them out - I got sent home from school with the mumps. I do think that my teacher came by our house after school and drop off the cards I had received. In the elementary schools that I went to, most everyone brought little cards for everyone in the class. Usually they were put in decorated paper bags or shoe boxes, and generally all were being passed out at the same time, so if there were a class mate or two who weren't able to bring any, it most likely would have gone unnoticed by the other kids. When my granddaughter was in kindergarten and still living with us, we made valentines for her classmates from doilies and red and pink construction paper hearts. I think I did the cutting out and the "Happy Valentine's Day" writing, she did the gluing and writing her name on them.
  14. There's also something not right about you quoting someone, removing their content and inserting your own content into their quote, especially when the content you inserted is basically accusing another creator by name of using their "alt" to do something. At least that is how it looked to me.
  15. Whether a picture is actually good or clearly crappy is still subjective, and whether a particular picture strikes a chord with whomever is viewing it may not depend at all on the technical quality of the picture, but on what the picture conveys to the viewer in spite of the technical aspect. If you have read some of the threads about 'likes' in the forum, there are different reasons why someone might choose to like a picture in the avatar forum threads. Additionally, sometimes people are away from the forums for a few days and do no go back and 'like' pictures that were posted during their absence - sometimes I fall into that group. In a few very rare situations, the topic of a picture has left me feeling very disturbed for some reason, and I have not been able to like it. I think in general though, with any type of art, the more of an outlier in topic or style, the more risk that there will be those who will not like it. Of course the opposite could also be true. The most important thing I think, for anyone, is to just keep working on what their artistic vision is, for themselves, and keep putting their work out there - over time people may come to appreciate them.
  16. In RL my wedding anniversary is in the first part of February, so we plan a little trip away on the weekend in-between our anniversary and Valentine's Day. We don't usually doing anything separate on Valentine's Day, though when our children stilled lived at home we always got them a little box of chocolates.
  17. It might be something about how that router handles the wireless part - or other things in your environment that may be affecting this particular wireless capabilities. I used to have a network service where my VPN/Remote desktop connection was often dropping / reconnecting, often ending with a complete disconnect. Wired, the connection worked fine. After a change of provider and different router / modem I no longer had that issue with the wireless connection to the VPN/Remote Desktop connection. Wireless isn't recommended for SL, and I would imagine this is because SL needs a very stable connection and not all wireless providers/equipment appear to offer a stable enough connection.
  18. I thought that also, though there were no indicators for me to go on, and frankly, the subject of the thread I would have thought to have been a joke as well. So, you never can tell...
  19. Seriously? If I ever tipped someone and received messages like the ones above for a tip under 500L, that would be the last time I would ever tip that person or venue, no matter how much I enjoyed the performance.

  21. I've never seen anyone get in a rage about tips, but there's a small number of places that I go dancing at so maybe I've just had good luck. Generally, I like to tip the DJ, the host and the venue, if I'm able to. Sometimes it isn't a lot, but I figure something is better than nothing. I don't mind tip jars that announce or show who tipped, but I really don't like those that show the amount someone tipped. If I felt like I was being given a bad time or singled out specifically because of either not tipping, or about the amount of the tip, I would no longer go to any venue where that DJ was working, and if it was a venue policy that they do that, I would no longer go to that venue.
  22. Here's a link to Natales blog post that is often suggested when someone needs to troubleshoot their connection to SL: Troubleshoot Your SL Connection
  23. I was thinking last night about about amazing the region builds are. It's one thing to put out 10,000 houses on parcels, especially using the 'monopoly house' covers to make sure trees, etc., won't cut into houses, but to also think about landscaping 10,000 parcels, plus all the beautiful landscaping along the streets and in the public areas between parcels, and then the parks themselves. That is a lot of vision and creativity (as well as work) - kudos to the moles for the beautiful job they have been doing.
