  2. You may need to contact Support, either by filing a support ticket, or by using the Live Chat which is available for premium members. Live Chat is available between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern time zone. Further info about contacting support: https://lindenlab.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/31000131009-contact-support
  3. SLT is "Second Life Time" which is the same as Pacific Time zone. Because there are people in-world from all the time zones of the world, most all events are stated in SLT, and people who live in other time zones translate that to their own time zone. The Caledon Oxbridge link in my post takes you to a SL map page with the location marked. Caledon Oxbridge University is a location in SL which has free classes on a variety of SL related subjects, and a good tutorial for new people coming into SL. A good place to check out in general.
  4. i would strongly suggest taking @Lindal Kidd's class at Caledon Oxbridge in-world on buying and selling land. The class is held at noon SLT on Saturday's, and is free. It's a very comprehensive class and I think will get you pointed in the right direction for how to look for what you are seeking..
  5. Working on putting together a "some other time and place" small farming village on a platform way up above my mainland home.
  6. After thinking about it while I was out for a RL walk, it doesn't seem overly odd for a log home region. The log home regions are very pretty, full of nature, and I think could foster a reflective, contemplative, spiritual mindset, if that type of practice is part of one's nature.
  7. True. Some days I'm more optimistic than others about the state of human nature.
  8. It appears to be a name for one of the new Linden Home regions. Personally, I don't see a reason to be offended by it, though I could see some people might not want to live in a region with a religious overtone meaning. I wouldn't have any problem in living in a region with that name. However, if you are offended by it, then submit an AR about it, as Alwin suggested. I would imagine that LL did not name it that in order to offend anyone on purpose, and may be surprised to find that it did offend someone.
  9. I saw on Marketplace that there are couples dance animations being sold that say they are compatible with Intan, so it looks like it is possible. Assuming that what you are selling are dance animations, I would suggest contacting Intan to see what the requirements are for making them Intan-compatible.
  10. If you are referring to the "free" 1024 sqm of tier that you get by having a premium account, donating that to your land group will not reduce the tier enough to drop down to the next lowest tier level. You would need to reduce your total land holdings to somewhere around 5632 sqm (4096 + 1024 free tier + 512 10% group bonus) to qualify for the $22 USD monthly tier. However, if you want have your land group owned, you would create a group, and check the box "Owner makes contribution with deed" when deeding the land. That will apply the 8192 sqm of tier you are paying for to the land group. Afterwards, you could donate the 1024 sqm by opening up the group info, going to the land tab and increasing the amount of tier you want to donate to the group by an additional 1024. This would let your group own an additional 1024 sqm of land without any increase in tier costs. Also, when a group owns land, there is an additional 10% tier bonus that appears on the group's land tab as available tier. If you donate it all to a group, the group can use the available tier for either expanding the existing mainland parcel you currently have, or for purchasing an additional mainland parcel somewhere else (as long as it's on one of the mainland continents). Owning the 8192 under a group, donating the 1024, and taking into account the 10% group bonus, you could end up owning around 10,137 sqm for the $35 USD month tier. Alternatively, you can not donate the 1024 sqm, and instead use that to claim one of the new linden homes without incurring any additional monthly tier charges. If you create a group for the land, be sure that it has at least 2 members. It's wise to have the second person be your alt, and have that the only other member that has owner rights (along with yourself) - this can prevent a lot of drama further down the line. (The alt or 2nd person for the land group does not need to be a premium member) ETA: Qie beat me to it - I take too long sometimes to get my thoughts gathered and down on the page.
  11. Assuming you purchased it at the Legacy store: First, if there is an in-world group for the Legacy store, I would join the group and ask there - if there is some issue with the delivery or re-delivery for that store's vendors, the group will probably know about it. After that, I would keep trying the "Re-delivery" and I would also look on the creator's profile to see what information is there about how to receive support - be sure to check the profile's "Picks" - many creators use the Picks section to list their store's policies. For in-world stores, different stores use various sales/delivery methods/vendors, so a re-delivery really needs to be handled through the store/creator or their customer service reps. If you purchased it from the Marketplace, you could find you marketplace order information and see if that contains a re-delivery option.
  12. If you are the landowner, build should be enabled when you're in your parcel, whether or not the land is set to a group. Setting it to a group is really only necessary when you want to allow others to be able to build on your parcel. You might want to turn on showing property lines so that you can make sure that you are standing in your parcel and that the object you are trying to build is also within your parcel. Typically there is some Linden protected land between the sidewalk and the edge of the home parcel - if where you're standing is Linden protected land, you won't be able to build there.
  13. I didn't use to think it was a rolling period, but from reading all the posts here, it sounds like it is - and that fits with what you've been experiencing.
  14. When you add a payment method (credit card or PayPal) a tiny transaction (usually $1 USD) is made and then immediately reversed to verify that the payment process is working correctly. Do you recall what the error message was? Prepaid credit cards generally do not work. A PayPal account needs to be a verified PayPal account - which is something done on the PayPal side. If your PayPal account is not verified, you can log into your PayPal account and search for how to verify it within PayPal. I am curious though that the payment for premium was able to be processed without you having a valid payment method. This Knowledge Base article has info about which credit cards are generally accepted, setting up a payment method with PayPal, as well as a common issues and frequently asked questions section. It also has the phone numbers and business hours for contacting Linden Billing Support. Once you get the payment method issue straightened out, you will be able to purchase L$'s. There isn't a waiting period for purchasing, but there is a smaller limit of how much can be purchased within the first 30 days.
  15. I think you'll need to call Billing Support if the auto-renewal date has already passed and there was a failed payment. Downgrading to Basic will stop the premium fee billing, but for the next billing date - in the future, not the past - as it looks like you found out. Go to under "Contacting Linden Lab Billing Support" for their phone number and hours of operation. This is a user-to-user help area, so none of us other residents can see anything about your account or help with something that is beyond what can be done by residents on their own web dashboard, and as far as I'm aware, your situation is one that would need to be handled by Billing Support.
  16. That is definitely odd! I do remember when it used to be common to have multiple copies of someone's calling card in that folder, but it does seem like the change should have been made to both in the case of multiples in the same folder. Another mystery
  17. What I noticed about calling cards, having changed my name, and also having a friend that changed their name: - In the "Calling Cards" folder, the calling card for my friend displays with their old name (Including the "Resident" last name part) and my own calling card displays with my new name. - In the "Calling Cards -> Friends -> All" folder, the calling card for my friend displays with their new name.
  18. It's a beautiful warm Spring day. Getting ready to head out for a walk.
  19. I think I have only used the Limit Buy once or twice, when I was purchasing a large enough amount where it really made a difference. Most likely I went with the default that displays in the Limit Buy window, because at the amount I was buying that was a substantial enough difference for me, and I didn't want to have my money tied up for too long waiting for the order to be filled. As Fairre has suggested, play around with increasing the 268 / 1 USD rate slightly. If you are not in a hurry to receive the L$'s, you could try some rate not too far from the 268 / 1, and then wait to see if it fills within an acceptable time for you. You can always cancel the order if it doesn't fill if it goes too long without being filled.
  20. It's an exchange with prices based on orders from people who want to buy, and orders from people who want to sell. Your example is so far out of the normal range that I doubt that it would ever get filled. If you did go ahead and place the order, it can be cancelled - if you go to the 'Manage' link on your dashboard sidebar (right next to the link for buying L$'s) you should be able to find the order and cancel it. The money that you were charged for the cancelled order would be returned to your USD balance on your account, and you could then use that to purchase L$'s with the Market Buy rate, or try a rate in the Limit Buy that is much more reasonable.
  21. Before we were married, I had a 1966 MGB and my then-boyfriend/now-husband hated tinkering with it all the time. Meanwhile.... good thing I had that semester of auto-shop in high school: (the creeper and the wrench came with the car, I built the wheel ramps real quick for the picture, so I wouldn't be bisected by the license plate)
  22. It's not clear to me what the context is for your post. However, if my teenage granddaughter said something like this to me, this is what I would tell her: First, be careful about what your brothers are saying, especially if what they are saying is not consistent. Sometimes family members may be too critical or say mean things in order to get you to doubt yourself, which could result in self-esteem issues. Second, keep track of your weight and search online to find guidance about healthy weight ranges / BMI for your height. Let that be more of a guide for you as to whether you should diet or not. Third, find an online app that lets you track the nutritional value of the food you're eating. If you are dieting, or if you just want to ensure you're eating healthier, tracking apps can help you stay within healthy ranges, and let you see what food choices are better than others. Fourth, make sure to get some fresh air and some type of physical exercise at least several days a week. If your post was just out of boredom or trying to be funny, then my response can just be considered as some grandmotherly advice in case someone else who might need it comes along and reads the thread.
  23. When I was growing up in the 60's and 70's in California, my dad had a thing about English sports cars. We had a Morgan +4, and after hitting a cow and totaling the car, we got a 1957 Morgan 4/4 which my mom kept until the early '90's. For awhile when I was in elementary school, it was our only car, and as it was before seat belts and child safety seats, my sister and I would ride in the luggage area just behind the front seats. It definitely left me with a love of convertibles, and if money was no object, I'd have a Morgan parked in my garage. In SL, the first Morgan I came across and purchased was a 1934 3-wheeler:
