  1. When you search, if you're searching for a location that you will be able to teleport to, be sure that you are searching the "Places" category. If you're searching "Groups" (or if you're searching "Everything" ) and the item you've selected from the search results is for a Group, rather than a Place, a teleport button will not be available because a group does not have to be associated with a particular parcel (piece of land) or it may be associated with multiple parcels. When you display 'more info' for a group, from the search results, you will see "copy URI". The URI is the internal identifier for that group. If you were to copy the URI, and then paste it to your local chat window and press enter, your local chat window would display a link to that particular group.
  2. If people don't know where or how to get the info though, it won't get very many others out exploring more of the mainland. If people need to join a particular group in order to get the lists, then you should mention that.
  3. I don't think everything needs to be moved to the vicinity of Bellisseria. I think residents should be encouraged to go out and explore. Perhaps there should be a little travel shop or concierge counter on the SS Galaxy which has 'postcards' for other historic or interesting Mole builds, where clicking on the postcard gives a folder with a picture postcard (as a souvenir) and a LM. I think there is something similar to this already at one of the Mole build stores, because I remember getting LM's to Mole builds that way several years ago.
  4. Does anyone know the percentage of mainland parcels that have "hostile" security orbs or ban lines? And are the "hostile" security orbs shown on the map Animats posted 0-second orbs? or just parcels with active orbs in general? I'm just wondering if there is a way to categorize the size and severity of the issue. Whether it's mainland or renting on an estate, I like to be along a road or a waterway where I can travel around outside of and away from my parcel. I've tried some of the estates like in the picture above where you have your parcel and it's all blocked off from others, and you can't wander along a path or road or walk to a community area (even if it's just a single region) - I've never been able to stay at one of those type of parcels more than a few weeks - I get claustrophobic feeling. On my mainland I don't use ban lines or security orbs, I have the 'avatars on other parcels can see and chat..." box checked, so I'm not completely un-neighborly.
  5. I don't think that makes you a terrible person. If those are the things that are important to you and your expectations, than I don't see anything wrong with discussing those with the other person. Especially if you show the same eloquence and respect when talking about it with the other person as you have here. (As opposed, of course, to just demanding all this RL info from someone when you've just met).
  6. That's a good point I didn't think about.
  7. You won't be able to get back the exact same premium land parcel that had originally. Your choices in using the 1024 m2 are (1) getting a Linden Home (the new ones are still somewhat limited, but more available than they had been) or (2) purchasing a parcel on mainland. You will need to pay the one-time cost for purchasing a mainland parcel, but after that, if your land holdings stay within the 1024 sqm, you won't be charged monthly tier. Also, if you purchase land that you want to be covered by the free 1024 sqm, make sure it is on mainland and not on a private estate. There is a very good class about land purchases and ownership offered inworld at Caledon Oxbridge University. It is a free class and is very worthwhile.
  8. I was just thinking the same thing But then I started overthinking. Alyona Su said "when I speak a sound comes out", and when I 'speak' thru texting, there is the keyboard sound... so ....
  9. Maybe it could be a perk for the super-duper premium In the end, though, it's not anymore infallible than whatever people are currently doing to consider themselves "voice verified".
  10. To the OP, I think that where you need to be spending your energy is not in trying to convince people in the forum here that Bloodlines players are not bad, but in convincing other Bloodlines players to stop the type of behavior that irritates non-Bloodlines players in SL. As BelindaN's post indicates, there are still Bloodlines players continuing with the type of behavior that irritates others and leads to people 'hating' Bloodlines. It's Bloodlines that needs to get itself in order, not the general SL population changing how it perceives Bloodlines. That perception will not change as long as there are still Bloodlines players asking for random bites. (I do know that there are many responsible Bloodlines players, some of who are active here in the forum - my comment isn't directed to, or about, you.)
  11. Lately I've been partial to different hues of blue. For clothes though, the predominant color is black, but I have supplemented that a little with a couple of browns or burgundy outfits. I'm also fond of what I call dusty rose which for me is the darkish (but not bright) main color of a Gunne Sax dress I wore to a dance in high school.
  12. It's always hardest to end the the face-to-face conversations with the people in your own house so that you can get back to SL ...
  13. I'm not sure those two things go together for me. Though I'm sure she wouldn't care what I thought as I probably fall into that 'dead person' category - she's younger than my daughters, but older than my granddaughter. We were only able to see Rush live one time, and it was when they were touring after putting out the album of covers of songs that had influenced them - I'm thinking 2004 or 2005. I'm glad that I was able to see them at least once. ETA: wonderful character outline though! My daughters played Oregon Trail all the time back in the day. We still talk about that game from time to time when we're reminiscing.
  14. However, being social is not a requirement for owning a Linden Home. There are a lot of things to draw premium members to Bellisseria besides, or in addition to, community, especially compared to the old LH's (which I believe are still planned to be shut down at some point in the near future). Myself, I don't talk with neighbors very often in SL or RL, though I do try to say "hello" or wave if I see a neighbor out when I'm walking around, and I try to respond to friendly overtures from neighbors (SL or RL). Small talk with people I don't know really well has always been a difficult thing for me in or out of SL, and is not something I generally initiate. I would happily be a hermit, but I think I should probably socialize a little bit, so I do try to put myself in areas where there is social interaction, or that were designed towards social interaction, as a way to kind of push myself in that direction from time to time. Sometimes it's enough to just know that you're not alone, even if it's just seeing other green dots in the region (whether you speak to them or not).
  15. Have you tried the troubleshooting items on Firestorm viewer's support site - https://wiki.firestormviewer.org/fs_missing_inventory It's a pretty comprehensive list, and often one of the things on there will fix the problem. (Most of the things can be done whether you use the Firestorm viewer or not - if you don't, there may be some differences in file path locations, but it should be pretty easy to figure out.).
  16. My husband and I saw them live a couple of summers ago - I think it was 2016. It was quite a show!
  17. Without some further info though (see Odak's comment regarding pasting the info from Firestorm's Help / About Firestorm (which can be accessed before logging in to the viewer) people here can't provide further troubleshooting either. See Selene's list of Firestorm help topic links that are probably the most relevant, and if they don't fix the issue at least will provide some additional information and knowledge that can be used between the OP and others here to try and narrow the issue down. Another thing the OP can try is to see if they have the same issues when using the LL viewer, which can sometimes be important info to know when troubleshooting. (and I noticed that Selene has also already commented again while I was typing this, probably with the same info and quicker than me, but I'm going to post this anyway)
