    Good LOD bike

Here is my bike seen from 50 metres away and magnified: No LOD issues there I think. Here it is: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/GD-MOTORS-HD-bicycle-1S/11333627 I haven't used it for a while since I don't currently have road access, but I remember it being very good and realistic.
  2. It has 25 animated expressions. The circle-grid thing at top right is for eye poses.
  3. I got the Sweet HUD to go with my Normie head, and I find it good.
  4. I'm not a merchant, just a user who always tries demos before buying anything costing more than a few lindens. I see in your marketplace list that you offer a demo submarine that expires after 3 minutes. That seems to me to be barely enough time to figure out the controls never mind test the thing, so it is understandable that a prospective purchaser would want to try several demos before deciding. Maybe these particular customers are gaming the system, getting a few minutes of fun for free, but they could also be genuinely testing the item. Having to re-rez a submarine every 3 minutes is a load of hassle so how long can they keep it going before either giving up or buying the item for full price? It costs you nothing and you could well get a sale or two out of it. My latest big purchase was a boat costing 4,000 L$, the third full-price boat I have bought from that maker. The maker offers 10-minute test-drives and I took full advantage of that I'm ashamed to say how many times, before I felt comfortable that I really wanted this boat. It cost them nothing and now they have made a substantial sale. Would I have bought it without being able to test it fully? I don't think so.
  5. People in the EBody support group would know, I'm sure
  6. There is no mention of a HUD in the marketplace description, so it looks like there is none. Such a simple head would not need one anyway I suppose.
  7. There is skin, but most people would probably never change that. In my case I have heads with fantasy skins and paler/darker skins, and also have heads with the scripts removed, for low-script situations. Something else caught my eye there too. The demo contains a notecard titled "Colivati body skin appliers needed". It contains a link to where we can get a 450 L$ body skin to match the supplied skin on the 99 L$ head. I assume that's just marketing on behalf of Colivati, and normal Omega skins will work, but it should be made clearer. I could not get Omega appliers to work on the demo. Yet another edit : The shape supplied with the demo is (strangely) no-modify, so I wore another shape and played with it, and I must say the results were not good. The response to sliders is crude and it seems any departure from the supplied shape will give poor results. I think my advice to any newbie interested in this head would be to stick with their system head and save their money for something better.
  8. The no-copy permissions would stop me recommending it to anybody. It's important to me to be able to have several copies of a head, each one with different appliers etc., and include the appropriate head in each outfit.

    Land Auctions

That's the coordinates of the middle of the parcel being sold. Each sim measures 256 by 256 metres and can be divided into many parcels, so this is how a parcel is identified.
  10. Turning off group tags in your preferences only stops you seeing group tags. If you activate the "none" group in your contacts page, your group tag will not be shown to anybody. You might also want to untick "show in my profile" in the group profile, so that nobody (except members of the same group) will know you are in the group unless you have it activated.
  11. I can't see how this is anything to do with Second Life (except maybe Second Life is one of the things you use it for). You should try a forum for either Windows or the maker of your laptop.
  12. Thanks Callum! I already had a "use region windlight " tickbox there, which seems to do the job, though it didn't before.
  13. Yes, it was the "automatically change..." option. Thanks Chic!
  14. I wear Liquid mesh eyes in a deep but natural blue. I also like the way the white is coloured, nicely shaded with a bit of bloodshot at the sides. I can't relate to dark eyes at all, in RL or SL; I need to see a difference between the pupil and the iris.
  15. Hi everybody. I do a bit of sailing, and it's nice to have daylight so that I can see what's ahead , so I do Ctrl-Shift-Y in Firestorm to force midday lighting, but that gets reset to the sim's default every time I cross a sim border. Does anybody know of a way to force permanent daylight until I decide otherwise? Thanks a lot.
  16. I got an IM recently from somebody who saw this thread and asked for help with something similar, but unfortunately I lost it. If they get in touch with me again, I would be happy to help. Edit: I found the message! Getting in touch with them now.
  17. Maybe you should look at a map. Here, I'll help you: People can judge for themselves whether that can honestly be described as "next to Blake Sea".
  18. That land is nowhere near the Blake Sea, nor does it have any protected sea connection to it. You should really be a bit more truthful.
  19. Full body: Altamura Valentina Top: Miss Chelsea (Maitreya fit) Skirt: Baby Monkey (standard M) Tights: Omega Shoes: Baby Monkey Makeup: various Omega appliers Skin: 7 Deadly Skins (Omega) Sim: Backdrop City
  20. Another option worth considering is Altamura's Valentina "fullbody" on limited-time promotion until 25th March at the Skin Fair. It costs 300 L$ plus 50 L$ to join the Altamura group. It includes a very nice head and body, with a selection of skins and makeup and animations. There are not many clothes on the market designed specifically for Altamura bodies, but they say that Maitreya-fit clothes often work well, and you can also use standard-size clothes with perhaps some adjustment of your shape. It also accepts Slink-fit shoes and Omega skin/makeup/underwear (but not hosiery) appliers (you will also need the Omega System Kit for Altamura costing 99 L$, or 50L$ for Omega group members in the Omega shop). The normal price for a package of that standard would be about 5,000 L$.
  21. The Normie head (which I'm wearing in my profile pic here) accepts standard Omega skins and makeup; you don't need an Omega relay. Standard hair works fine. There are one or more shapes supplied with the head, but you are free to modify it to suit your own taste. You might also consider buying a facial animation HUD. Omega is a compatibility system to allow you to apply skins, makeup, tattoos, underwear to nearly any brand of mesh head/body.
  22. It depends on your taste, but of the mainstream bodies, Maitreya Lara is the most popular, with the Belleza Freya/Isis and Slink bodies next, and Tonic then EBody, Altamura, etc a bit behind. The more popular a body is, the more clothes you can find that are specifically designed to fit it, though standard-size clothes can often be used too. Have a look at the Mesh Body Addicts website, which contains reviews of most popular bodies and links to where you can get demos. Be sure to try demos of any bodies you are interested in, play with the HUD, adjust the shape to your taste, set up outfits etc., before deciding.
  23. TMP have had plenty of time to issue a Bento update, but it hasn't happened. Many people here are of the opinion that TMP have given up any development or support and will probably close soon.
  24. To get us into the mood for today: You can skip the first 30 seconds, it's just tuning-up.
  25. Your best option would be Omega skins, which it seems work with all three brands you are wearing. As Tazzie said, trying to find a skin that is designed specifically for all those brands is likely to be a frustrating exercise.
