Most of the younger ones want something they can do on their phone. I don't know how many times when my man used to DJ in world from our bar and he would mention "We're also in SL, go to secondlife.com and sign up." At that point he would see a sea of phones come up. Then he would say "This is for your desktop, not your phone."

Like a family member got a new comp and loaded Chrome on it. It had her info on it already. Told her to nuke Chrome and use Firefox. I trust Chrome as far I can throw a classic Fender Bassman amp and a Linden.

I saw that in the wiki. Probably Linden Street in San Francisco was named after the trees.

Searched out "Tilia" and got this.... "Tilia is a genus of about 30 species of trees or bushes, native throughout most of the temperate Northern Hemisphere." That was from Wikipedia!

Another thing would probably grow Tilia (which is probably named for a tree) into a bigger services that could offer financial services for many other companies.

Same here. I remember there was a great chat website, WBS, was great until Disney bought them and folded it into their Go platform. They totally destroyed it. Another is the original Xoom (not the payment platform that took the name later) Clip Art Site and free web hosting , which went downhill when they got bought by NBC. I can name a few others. I hope SL don't go the same path.

At least it wasn't acquired by FB. That would've been horrible.

I remember some clubs will have dance bots to up the traffic numbers in the search. Although I thought AFK clubs were ones were people park their avis and do something else, like a mostly empty club my man used to DJ at. That particular place it was many avis from members of one family.

I found that out long ago when I sold some land. Had to wait for the nightly payout. And I thought we were talking about a Linden avi in a group! 🤣

There are some dishonest people that'll scrape a group list to send spam. Someone did that recently for a club using the list from a live music group.

And the culprit who lodged the complaint caused a lot of grief to the other head makers with false accusations flying all around. I do remember for a bit in some groups that Catwa was taking the heat.

Adding another. Running into a couple of websites the last few weeks and was a blank page with just something like "We're now only on your mobile, click this link and your # to send the link to your phone." 🤦‍♀️ Uggh. I need big computer --- big screen --- for these old ancient eyeballs!

Don't know how many times I've encountered that. Parts flying all over until things rendered correctly. Kinda reminds me of the Willy Wonka movie scene where they transmit things (using Wonkavision) through the air and see the little "pieces" flying above you.

Just nuke everything named "object." Problem solved! 🤣

Another is 20,504,864,124,544.2 "objects." Sometimes when turfing those, who knows if there's some I shouldn't turf!

There are political mboards out there and stuff like that is better suited for those. One exception, how the toilet roll is hung.
