  2. Oh i hope that it true! The most disappointing aspect of Bellisseria for me has always been that, within 2 weeks of a theme being released, the MP is flooded with a pile of often badly made, out of theme, absurdly designed add-ons
  3. I predicted a long time ago (well before Newbrooke was released), that the theme that followed on from the Chalets would be the one that reached the mid north coast of Satori, seeing as LL moved all the private regions in that area. However, with the Newbrooke and Sakura themes now mixing 512 and 1024 parcels on the one region, on average there's a higher number of homes per region than with some of the older themes - this means that each new theme, in theory, will occupy less space on the grid. I think one theme will definitely reach Satori, but now I am not sure which one it will be. Newbrooke is now already quite large, but it would need to double in size to reach Satori, that seems a bit unlikely to me. The Chalet theme i believe is likely done - with the exception of the "channel" between it and the Newbrookes - that's likely to be a mountain range with a mixture of Newbrookes / Chalets. So, Sakura could be the theme that reaches Satori, but, it should be mentioned that LL have now moved more private regions - this time directly north of the Stilt theme. Could Sakura slot in above the Stilts? It would make sense since it looks like the Sakura theme will have plenty of water - I guess we'll all know soon enough ETA: The overall colour tones used in the landscaping of the Sakura theme is actually quite close to that of the Log Homes... and there is a nice big space north of the log homes, right between the Squishy pickle and the stilts - maybe another possibility ?
  4. They don't want you to hear the dialogue cause then you'll realise how bad the movie is
  5. My personal answer to the question in the thread title is simple "because I already have been paying sales tax for years in SL" I've paid my country's sales tax on my premium account and tier since the moment I went premium approx 5 years ago, and am assuming that many people in SL who live outside of America have done likewise for years. I also rented land on mainland until recently, when the rental group decided they would increase their prices. Clearly they felt that the best way to deal with this new sales tax was to make their customers pay for it - customers who, in some cases, already are paying sales tax. My response to this was simple, I left, and judging by how many of their other rental parcels are suddenly empty, seems like I wasn't the only one
  6. Gateway Airport is actually new (only a few months old). There was an airport there previously, but it didn't have the extra little Harbour part in Axel region.
  7. the names themselves are visible on the Shergood Map system if you click on the area where they are... don't know how some people can already see them on the standard SL map tho
  8. BUMP. Price reduced, now selling for 2112L (2l per sqm). Roadside Route 1 protected land.
  9. Historically, LL have looked after the sailing community quite well, otherwise we wouldn't have the Blake Sea, or the many other Straits and waterways that either link continents or are inside continents. Technically, none of those need to exist - so in my opinion they are there because LL do value the sailing community. However, the days of just adding dozens upon dozens of empty water regions appear to be over, presumably because these are an additional cost to LL for which there is no financial benefit. This doesn't mean though that sailors wont be able to reach Bellisseria from the Blake sea, it just means the way it's likely to be done isn't quite quite what some people expect. Look at the west coast of the Trad and Vic areas - you can sail south down there, but they aren't empty water regions, they are regions which also contain numerous homes- homes occupied by paying customers. This is likely to be how they bridge that last gap to the western Satori coast. A coastline of whatever theme, heading up north just out of reach of Satori, then finally joining up to the protected water region as indicated in the OP (though from seeing the area cleared out, I think the join will be higher up). Doing it this way means LL might only need to add one or two empty water regions, the rest of the coast will be partially full of homes. Sailors get their waterway, and LL get some income from the regions - everybody wins.
  10. Yep, you are correct, which is why I said "some" - the 3 people who posted after you all made the assumption that Caith was the creator of the product and was simply being rude to her customers, which isn't the case.
  11. Some of you have this all wrong. Caith isn't the creator/seller of this item. She is a customer who bought the same item as the other people who have left negative views. She left a review herself to show future potential customers that the item still works as intended, and that the reviews claiming the item doesn't work are false.
  12. Found a 116m high peak here: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Heath Cliff/63/135/116 Since Chloe posted a link to the Canyon Ball run region - if you want to see a nice sight, I suggest hopping on a horse and riding the dirt road south between the Canyon Ball Run and Sassafras regions - do it as the sun is setting - just looks amazing
  13. It's incomplete because Bellisseria isn't finished yet Unlike previous themes, the Newbrooke theme hasn't been released all at once - possibly due to the backlash LL received over it when it was first unveiled (pure conjecture on my part). This, combined with the fact that there are more parcels on each Newbrooke region, means that this theme will take up less space on the grid that themes like the Chalet or Log homes, which in turn means that even completed, Newbrooke might not bridge the gap to Satori (as I and others predicted). However, my understanding is that the next theme is well along in its development, so in all likelihood maybe it's that theme what will finally give us the protected waterway. Either way, the fact that LL cleared out all those private regions from the area still indicates that Bellisseria will expand into the predicted area - it might just take a little longer that previously expected Re: flying over southern Satori - it's not remotely difficult. I've made over 50 trips there now, and all i encounter on the way is one 30 second orb, and one 45 second orb. Heck you can even drive down to the Yeeowler region quite easily then switch to an aircraft or boat.
  14. Yeah it's a pity some people are quick to just write a negative review rather than contacting the creator to discuss the issue. I came unstuck with my own scripted lights with EEP because they suddenly seemed out of synch with the default LL day cycle. Once I set my own parcel to "use region settings" the problem was fixed. As i want my lights in synch with the region, I then decided to redo the script using llGetRegionSunDirection, which totally ignores what the parcel is set to anyway.
  15. Previously, when I was in the Bellisseria group in-world - almost every day at some point someone would pop in with "why cant i rezz inside the house" - so it's not new and not limited to this house style. As I said, count yourself lucky you've never encountered it before - though there are some things that can help or effect it happening, one of them being your camera angle. You'll have less issues if you cam directly down over your avi and rezz that way. Oh and the "my trad in Innside has developed the annoying habit of placing objects *under* the house." - problem, yep that's caused by the mesh too - it's all tied together.
  16. That's pretty normal when you're rezzing on mesh - isn't just limited to Newbrooke homes, or any particular LL theme - it's been an issue with mesh for years. If you've never had the issue before then count yourself lucky
  17. *looks at the thread title* nope.. sorry, I wont give peas a chance, i hate the bloody things!
  18. I put in a ticket for some abandoned land last week. Got a reply back within 24 hours saying I'd need to wait 7 days to make sure no one else wants the area - but within another 24 hours the land was set to sale for me
  19. "There is so much to explore and discover." Exactly... explore... discover You'll never see all the beautiful places if you just TP to a few landmarks you've been given. Step outside your house and get moving - because you never know what surprises you might see on the way to your destination
  20. ^this. As a frequent traveller of SL's roads, skies, and waterways (115 hours racked up already this year), it never ceases to amaze me how few people drive/fly/boat to the conditions. Driving at 100 mph into a corner crossing then wondering why you're suddenly separated from your car, doing 50 knots in a huge boat down a narrow protected channel and wondering why you ended up in someone's front yard with an orb suddenly hassling you , flying 30m off the ground and wondering why you've run into ban lines etc etc - these are the sorts of things that get people into trouble and can be avoided. I really enjoy travelling round the mainland, and whilst sure some areas are much easier to navigate than others, a bit of planning, and using the right tools available (as Mollymews said) goes a long way to making it an enjoyable experience, and helps to mitigate any trouble spots.
  21. Here's a pic of it (there's a base prim down with a driveway to join it to Route 1 road
  22. Roadside region for sale in Sagitta, Hetrocera continent. 1056sqm in size (tier free if using group bonus), 24 x 44m in size, and flat. Asking 3L per M, so L$3168 http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Sagittata/14/46/34
  23. I tossed back a log home a few days ago in the Gone Fishing region. It's a great spot - right by the edge of the lake there, only 14 homes in the region, and the train line running through there as well. It's still showing as unclaimed.
  24. Surely Trads and Houseboats are two separate themes, even if they were released at the same time?
  25. Ok, the land is Group owned, so yeah I don't have to do anything. I'm just confusing myself I think
