  1. Ok so rather than starting another thread, I'll tack on another question here and hope someone reads it. Let's say I want to sell a parcel to my alt - i know how to do this, but i don't want any objects returned. So, with everything on the parcel set to my land group, do I just need to turn auto-return off, and enable rezzing, and everything will just stay there? Secondly, once the parcel ownership is transferred, I'd only need to then set it to the same land group, and everything will stay put, even after auto-return is switched back on - does that sound right? Trying to think if I have forgotten anything.
  2. Ok, not sure how well i will explain this, but here goes. I have two premium accounts and my own land group, so technically i can own 2048sqm of land, plus 10% group bonus, so a total of 2252 sqm and not pay any additional tier. Let's say i want to bump up my tier without having another account - and i want to use the 2048 sqm level at 13USD a month. So, that means I will be paying 13 USD per month, but how much land will I be able to own at that level? Will it be 2252 (current amount including bonus +2048 (new tier) = 4300sqm? Or will the 10% bonus apply to all land in the group, even if I am paying separately for the second 2048 part, therefore making it 4096 +10% = 4505 sqm ?
  3. yep, as alluded to above, its a region crossing, and on a suspended road.. so to explain it to the OP, those prims are there so you don't fall through the road on a region crossing
  4. I've only got the one account for having a LL home, which tends to make landing that dream spot much more difficult. I did have a great houseboat on the end of a row, with an open water region next door - took me 20 straight days of using up my 5 tries to get it. I really liked it, but I only stayed there a few months before all the neighbours round me started to ruin the area with horrible out-of-theme builds I was lucky enough to grab a riverside Log home when they were first released, but had to abandon it months later when i went through a horrible period of unsolvable lag - getting only 4 fps in Bellisseria at the time. I now have another Log home right by one of the bigger lakes, so it really has a great view, and not that many homes in the region, plus the railway line is just out the front too, but honestly I am about to give this one up too and go grab some mainland. I realised I spend far more time exploring Belli than actually living in my house lol I found it very frustrating trying to "compete" with others when trying to get a location that appealed to me, and really got disappointed when I would see several homes in a new release all owned by the same person (or people in the same land group). The tactics some have used to obtain large quantities of prime locations really ruined the community aspect for me. I've noticed plenty of locations in various themes still waiting to be released, several of which I'd be happy with, but the time it has taken for these to be released, plus the chance of me actually landing one, means that I decided it's not worth the hassle of trying for one. So I guess i consider myself a loser in the GoH stakes, having seen multiple "perfect" places for me but never being able to obtain one. On the positive side though, I love the work the Moles have done, and I've always enjoyed driving, sailing, and flying around, exploring the entire continent - and that's something I will continue to do regardless of whether I live there or not
  5. If they are planning on releasing them soon, then i am curious as to why such a small release. 49 regions isn't even close to how many regions were released when most of the themes have been released I know there's more houses per region on this new theme, but still, we're talking about a third the size of a normal release, at best. I see plenty of Stilt and Houseboat regions that appear ready but are still named SSPE* - so possibly they might do a combined release, but clearly that's not going to happen until we see the proper region names.
  6. I do texture work for vehicles in SL, so a lot of the time I am just standing in my workshop whilst i have photoshop open on my other monitor. When not doing that, I am exploring the grid - driving, sailing, flying etc, or playing the GTFO Freight game. That covers about 90% of my time in SL, with the final part being divided between shopping, decorating my homes, and hanging out with close friends. I find that I simply don't have enough time in SL to do everything I'd like to, which then always makes me laugh when i hear so many people say they are bored in SL
  7. Actually, in the case of that part of Sansara, the "blocking" of the waterway was done deliberately by LL. That area is the Sutherland Dam - where two different water heights meet, the default 20m level, and the high 80m level. There is no way in SL to make different water heights meet naturally, so wherever this occurs (which is quite a bit in Sansara), LL make dams or fake waterfalls to hide the joining point.
  8. Definitely "A" C - Log home coastline is done, so the only possible expansion there is more Stilt islands moving south (if required) B - even less likely than C frankly. Again, the coastline in done, but also, there are no unfinished roads or bridges at worlds edge in the east side of the Chalet homes. If LL are going to drop a new theme that again contains a road network, why place it in an area where those roads wont link up to anything? Finally, even placing the new theme at "B" doesn't magically make it possible to sail to the Blake Sea - dozens of empty water regions would still need to be added all the way up the coast to actually reach sailable protected water. At "A", you have: 1) no current coastline which indicates that something is going in there. 2) train lines and roads which go to worlds end, further indicating that at some point, they will join up to more roads and trail lines. 3) a huge convenient theme-wide space recently been cleared of all private regions. So yep, it's definitely going to be "A", except now that so many of us are sure of that, they'll change their minds and drop the theme down south of the Fantasy regions
  9. Regarding the number of sales events that you see every single week - I wouldn't simply assume that it always hurts creators because consumers just wait for the sales instead of buying from the shop at the regular price. Here's my own personal take on it. Cheap sales prices can often be the difference between a consumer deciding they will get that item that they aren't totally sure about, or simply walk out and purchase nothing. I'm not claiming everyone (or even a majority) are like this, but I know I certainly am. Every year, at a few key periods, Black Friday or Christmas usually, some vehicle creators in SL offer 50% off sales for a short period. There is one specific creator where I have purchased about a dozen vehicles from them during these sales periods. How many would I have purchased at regular price? - None at all. No, it's not cause I knew there'd be a sale (I didn't to start with), but simply because I didn't find them good enough to purchase at their regular price. With some people, whether its RL or SL, if they like something, they will buy it, and the cost is irrelevant, more so in SL where nothing is really expensive. I am however not like that, I still weigh up value for money by comparing the product against other similar items. If Item A and B are equal, but item B is half the price - then I will never buy Item A. It's the principle as much as anything else. So these sales, for someone like myself, are sometimes the ONLY way a certain creator will ever get my business.. and in the end its simple maths.. would you prefer 50% of your regular price, or 100% of nothing 50L Friday is another great example of that. I have purchased so much decor, odds and ends, clothing etc from those sales - items that I would never have purchased otherwise. In many cases, certainly with decor items, it literally has been a case of "i have no idea if or when i will ever use this, but at this price i'm happy to have it tucked away in my inventory"
  10. ok i stand corrected, with the horse in that region too it's safe to assume that the turtle is Morla. I haven't seen that movie since i was about 7 , so no real surprise I didn't think of it
  11. I just made a reply in another thread that relates to this topic. The Jira requesting the Route 8 link road in Osiliers was requested early-ish last year, and went in not long after - its been there for at least 6 months now by my reckoning. The adding of road in Dammastock was a Jira I requested - that was approved by LL in less than a month, with one of the Lindens replying in the Jira that they were going to do it "soon". Well soon only turned out to be 2 days - they were very fast
  12. Though i'm not entirely sure how beneficial to LL adding in that little road between Route 8A and the Old Wagon Road would be, there's nothing to stop residents from making a "feature request" Jira for these kind of things. Early last year, Aletta Mondragon did exactly that, requesting a linking road through abandoned land between Routes 8A and 8C in Satori in the Osiliers / Varean regions. LL approved it, and within a relatively short timeframe, a nice new road went in. Late last year, I made a similar Jira - requesting that LL remove the teleport tunnel in Route 8 in the Dammastock region - and simply lay down a new road in the LL protected area to connect that road up. The Jira was less than a month old before LL said they would do it - and only about 2 days later it was done It's great to suggest and discuss these ideas in the forums, but ideally it needs to go through an official channel, so a Jira is the correct way to do it
  13. It probably has nothing to do with the listing name, but rather one of the keywords you've used. They will a ban a listing if a keyword is copyrighted, or (in their wisdom) simply not relevant to the product you're selling. I had a product taken down a few years ago because it had the word "Ford" in the keywords. I had to email them to get that info out of them - and their reasoning was that "Ford" wasn't relevant to the product i was selling. The product I was selling: a famous Ford livery designed to be applied in-world to a Ford car
  14. SSPE2274 has another little interesting thing in it.. well it's not little. Take a close look at the big hill there, it's not a hill at all, in fact it's a turtle Now, considering how many Easter eggs the Moles have left in Bellisseria that are references to TV, movies, or literature, I can't help but think that this turtle is actually Maturin, the great turtle at the end of the world that holds up one of the beams in Stephen King's Dark Tower novels. He is at the end of the world there at SSPE2274, and he is pretty damn big for a turtle
  15. or you can simply go into the World menu, and select "show more", then untick Banlines
  16. I've mentioned this before, but those regions you've circled have been moved for months, hence why they only show as loading. LL has cleared out a big space there, coincidently big enough to fit in a new theme Placing a new theme there will also finally give everyone a clear waterway between Bellisseria and Satori/Nautilus/ Blake Sea
  17. Regarding ban lines, it's 50m above terrain height - unless you're banned by name, in which case there's no practical limit. That is the problem with these instant-banning illegal orbs. Dozens, and in some cases hundreds, of people are being banned illegitimately , even though they are following the rules. Removing the offending orb doesn't clear the illegal ban list. I don't see how (as previously mentioned) LL can't do anything about this. It's all well and good to say residents have the right to ban whoever they want, and certainly I agree with that, but in this case it isn't a resident doing the banning, it's a device that's not allowed in Bellisseria. Therefore, logically, if the device is not valid to operate there, then surely the resulting action of that device, the banning, is also not valid. Asking fellow residents to remove names from a ban list doesn't always work either, and when you have a ban list that has over 100 names in it, then in my opinion they are probably even less likely to do so, considering the work involved (or can you un-ban everyone at once?) Honestly, it's taken a lot of the shine off Belli, when people who follow the covenant end up on ban lists, whilst nothing gets done about the many, many people who are breaking the covenant.
  18. Ok so I have a question that pertains to both security in Bellisseria and the covenant. As we know, orbs that automatically add residents to the ban list are forbidden in Belli. Over the past few months I have reported quite a few of these - where either myself, or other travellers, have simply flown overhead (like we are allowed to do), been instantly kicked from our aircraft, then automatically added to the ban list. Now, whilst in time, these non-conforming orbs might be removed (i certainly hope they are), there is a much bigger issue, and this is that removing the orb does not remove the person from the ban list. So you end up with a situation where, even if the orb is gone, you'll run into these ban lines. There is one such parcel on Bellisseria which has over 100 names on it - almost all of them being drivers / pilots from two of the largest travel groups in SL. Some of the people banned at this location are big contributors to SL, including owning large amounts of mainland providing things like airports etc for the community. I realise that not everyone likes people flying around, and that's fine, but in this case these pilots are following the rules and simply flying overhead, in under the allotted 15 seconds time - yet they now need to constantly try and remember where all these parcels are in which they're banned so they can avoid them. I mentioned the worst parcel that i've encountered, but in fact there are several like that, usually with only 20-40 names on the ban list. @Patch Linden Is there a way that LL can enforce a ban list reset on parcels where they have a non-conforming orb? And second to that, isn't it about time we just used the default LL security system, which works fine, and cannot be set up incorrectly?
  19. I'd suggest submitting a Jira "feature request" for this rather than a forum post. That's what I did for that missing bit of road in Satori, and that got approved fairly quickly. The cut-through road that was added in the southern area of Satori earlier this year was also the result of submitting a Jira (Aletta did that one). You can never be sure that the "right" people are reading your post on the forums.
  20. Until this month (when I gave up), every single day that I travelled through Belli would result in at least one AR being being filed for things like the above. I wouldn't be surprised if I have filed more than 100 since Belli was first released. Not all of them as bad as the above picture but all still not following the covenant. Of course this is what AR's are for, and that's my point - there is a lot of AR'able things in Bellisseria, proven by things like the picture above and how many I (and others) have sent. Now to refute your ridiculous veiled claim that I an responsible for the above mess. This particular mess is (thankfully) not there anymore - it was reported by me some time in the last month or two and had since been removed. If you go look through the forums, in one of the topics I posted the same picture - well before you started this topic. The fact you haven't encountered many covenant violations doesn't mean they don't exist - something you seem to have difficulty in grasping. Regardless, I don't appreciate your attempt to refute what i say by making pathetic, absurd and false accusations. I'm done on this thread, enjoy your blissful ignorance.
  21. You need to get out more if you think people in Bellisseria are actually following the covenant The number of violations I see every day is astounding, and only getting worse with each new theme that is released. Of course, as 90% of Belli inhabitants barely step outside their front door, it's not surprising that many think everything is just peachy in Bellisseria. Definitely a case of out of sight, out of mind
  22. guessing the fact that the homes are still WIP is why I'm sinking into the floor? Anyway, they look fairly nice to me, but i prefer the smaller ones on the 512 parcels. Love the fencing and the outdoor areas and pools too. Like with all the other themes though, everyone will race to get one from the initial release, where as the real gems come later when the Moles hand build the unique regions like coastlines etc
  23. I believe Nika's point is that if/when LL slot in a new LL theme west of Satori, then LL wont even need the 18 new regions you're suggesting. The new theme is likely to extend far enough north that all LL will need to do is add 3 water regions around Atanua (depending on placement, one single region might be all that's required). Placing a giant row of of 18 regions where you're suggesting (Stromberg - Carmine Sky) is not only far more costly for LL, but it means that sailors still need to navigate an absurdly narrow waterway to reach Atanua, including a nightmare corner crossing at the north-east corner of Hathor. It's makes little sense for LL to go to the trouble and expense to implement this idea, when they have another option that will be far cheaper, look better, and save them from further complaints about narrow channels and tight squeezes
