I don't think this will ever be done, because as has been previously mentioned, it would be disastrous for content creators. However I do think it's something that should have been done right from the start. If it had been done though, you could expect all content to be much more expensive. Fatpacks of multiple colours would not exist, and neither would packs containing fits of clothes for more than one body shape. You would buy one garment in one size and one colour, and that would cost the same as a whole fatpack in multiple colours/sizes now. Switching to this model would break almost everything, and could really only be done feasibly if Linden Lab said "Right we are going to change to this, but we can only do so if we entirely wipe out everyone's inventory of everything you did not make yourself".

When I saw the first post here I didn't notice the date and my first thought was "BOM". It would work with the layers clothing, but I don't think it would with the alpha cuts for mesh clothes, if those are done with the hud. This will change eventually, as BOM is supposed to work with alpha layers, same as classic avatars, but that's not widely used yet (I think the Slink Redux body has that feature, as does the freebie RuthToo, but none others that I know of). Unless someone from all those years ago actually did manage to script something for it.

Granted, you are sleepy now, and will remain sleepy for the rest of the year. I wish I didn't need sleep at all.

Many years ago I had this same issue and after trying the card three or four times, a Linden IM'd me out of nowhere and said "Psst! Your card is expired!" 😁 If only they were so helpful now!

I've been noticing this recently and in my experience there are two places it happens most frequently - to the point of it being nearly every time I visit them; one is the Truth store, and the other is the No Match store. In both cases it's primarily the vendors that fail to rez. I haven't experienced it anywhere else. So I suspect it's something related to the vendors these two stores are using, and I wonder if they are the same.

I don't eat meat because I dislike the texture of it, rather than for ethical reasons, so I am interested in this burger. I'm sure I will like the taste of it, whether it tastes like real meat or not. It will be the texture of it that makes or breaks it for me. KFC on the other hand... I don't think I have ever had an order fulfilled correctly from that place, and their staff are rude and totally useless at their job. And the portions of fries are too small.

They do; I've had no-copy items returned before; in at least one case as a coalesced lump that I had to rez in a sandbox and sort out. It's deeded (to group) no-copy items that get deleted. But a person is unlikely to rez in a sandbox and then deed an item to the sandbox group.

I think the difference between what you have and what you're trying to achieve, is the skin. The avatar in the first picture has Asian eyelids, whereas the one in your second pic has western eyes. I think if you try an Asian skin, maybe in a paler tone, you'll get very close to the look you're after.

I was back at work today after a nearly-2-week break over Christmas. So I should be feeling all bleh, but actually I enjoyed it, and blasted through my daily target with 2 hours still to go. Yeah I am weird.

If is basically the SL body with more triangles and hence fewer lumpy bits, especially around the hands and feet. Its no use to me as Ruth is too curvy and there is no flat chest option that fits, so I am sticking with Maitreya. But there are some things I prefer on Ruth; particularly the shoulders.

No. Even if it is no-copy, it will come back to you when the sandbox auto-return kicks in (typically four hours). But it will go back into your Lost and Found folder, not the folder it originally came from. So if you are missing something that you left in a sandbox, look in your Lost and Found.

That seller is not the "RuthToo" team. RuthToo is open source, anyone can distribute it.

I have this body too, just to try it out. It fits Maitreya shoes, and some Maitreya clothes as well as some Belleza Venus. Standard size fitmesh works best though. This body responds to alpha layers and doesn't need a hud so it will fit pretty much anything that has an alpha layer. It is dead simple to use and I would highly recommend it to anyone starting out in mesh for the first time.

Any head will work with any body (except in the case of some freebie bodies which come with a non-detachable head built in). Also if you're wanting to use Bakes on Mesh (definitely the easiest option for you, coming straight from a Classic avatar) bear in mind that only Slink is BoM-ready out of the box. For Maitreya and Belleza you can pick up a free installer in their mainstores. For other bodies you'll need to make sure it's Omega-compatible, and get an Omega relay plus a generic Omega BoM-installer (there are a couple of those on the MP). Imma gonna ignore Signature Alice, which is BoM-compatible out of the box, but has literally no clothes to fit it, and Legacy which has customer-service issues and is a potential risk should they ever go out of business. For heads, you'll also need to check out their main stores to pick up BoM-installers (or Omega). BoM really opens up the market especially with cheaper heads that have limited HUD or layer options; because you won't really be using those at all. As long as they are omega-compatible they will work just as well as an expensive head. Lightstar is one of those brands that comes to mind. Just a note about shapes; when you get a head, use the shape that's provided in the box. Most heads are VERY different from the classic head and if you wear your regular shape it will look very distorted. You'll be able to adjust it with the sliders to get variations and to match your original body shape, but doing it the other way round will be a proper pain in the neck. On the other hand with most heads, what you see out of the box is pretty much what you get, shape wise; they can't be altered to the same degree that the classic head shape can. So try LOTS of demos and focus on the ones that are already right, or nearly-right, out of the box.

Based on the appearance of the upper part, I'd say that's very old hair. Pre-mesh, even, or at least very early mesh. I'd guess that it's an old style from EMO-tions. No Match is one of my favourite stores (though I never did like their red shades and always tinted the browns instead). Their group is only L$50 to join and there are a TON of group gifts upstairs. I popped in yesterday to take another look and there are some new ones that have been added in the past year, plus a new Christmas one still available downstairs.
