Extremely disappointed
Arduenn Schwartzman replied to VyoletSugar's topic in General Discussion Forum
I feel your pain. The shipping cost of this pretty little wrist watch is also quite steep (three-and-a-half Ben Franklins!). -
I got your legs. I got your legs right here!

I could use a pair of these. I keep locking myself out from my Linden Home all the time. -

It still has some glitches. At my first attempt, the top half of my avatar was gone. In the second attempt (link below), the corner of the bumper car arena is missing. https://panoraven.com/en/slider/PTmMV2laBP [Update], I so hope that this new 360deg feature is in preparation of the upcoming improved graphics capabilities in SL. These panoramic images are instrumental to real-time reflective surfaces in many games:

What's eating you today?
Arduenn Schwartzman replied to Persephone Emerald's topic in General Discussion Forum
Whether I should buy that special edition Kaweco Sport Collection Iridescent Pearl. Amazon says there's 'only 5 left in stock - order soon'. It's not my really my color, but damn you, FOMO. (We already gots too many fountain penses, but we needs it, preciousss.) But all first world problems aside, what's eating me today? That Czar Adolf Hitler the Second deep inside the Kremlin may very well be thinking that if he goes down, the whole world should go with him. -
Also, crackle is de integral of pop, and snap is the integral of crackle*, so a box with cereal almost completely integrates itself. * True fact, look it up.

Integration? Bah, humbug. I just empty the box and count the rice crispies. Snap, crackle & pop

The majority of SL residents uses Firestorm, which uses the old ratios from the official v1.x viewers since they were conceived back in 2003 (4:3 for the 2nd and 1st Life tabs and 16:9 for the Picks tab). The newer (official - 2.x and 3.x) viewers, despite your claim, actually did update their ratios around 2010 (to 1:1 and 4:3, respectively - still not the same, oddly enough). A typical profile in the official SL viewer does look more modern. It's basically a web page. It's just that hardly anyone is using them. I understand you're using a hyperbole, but let me remind you what a UI in 1970 really looked like: An advanced Video Display Unit (VDU), introduced in 1970 - most terminals, like the DECWriter, were hybrid hard copy terminals (i.e. the output was printed on paper rather than displayed on a screen).

New last names released
Arduenn Schwartzman replied to Kathlen Onyx's topic in General Discussion Forum
Why do you think it should have been left off/was not a good idea? It seems like an awesome name. It's definitely 2nd on my list of awesomest names. -

Some people in SL were adamant with their claim that I'm Tooter Claxton's alt. "But we decided we must brothers. Separated at birth." - Tooter

I'm pretty sure that the absolute vast majority of people in Russia has absolutely nothing to do with the actions of their leader. Remember that they live in a dictatorship with little to no say in their country's policies. Consequently, they can not be held accountable for their country's policies. I feel it would therefore be wrong to ban people based on geography. That would be a blatant form of discrimination. I've seen interviews of people in Moscow today, who abhor the military actions directed by that dictator, and who are very concerned for the wellbeing of their neighbors in Ukraine.

Here's the one item that's essential for every living room, regardless of culture, ethnicity, age, gender, or personal preference: -

Arduenn Schwartzman replied to Lucia Nightfire's topic in General Discussion Forum
22:22:22, 22/22/22 is the most impressivest to me. -
The EEP stars on the SL night sky are nice and twinkly and all, but I recognize absolutely none of the constellations of the northern hemisphere on it, and I'm not familiar with the ones on the sourthern. Anyone recognize anything at all in this part in the (enhanced) picture above? It's about 45 degrees wide and 22 degrees tall on the sky.

Weekend sales taking over?
Arduenn Schwartzman replied to PixelBerry's topic in General Discussion Forum
Maybe I should join too. I'd finally make a buck or two by increasing my prices from L$10 to L$50 on Fridays.
