  1. I want to personally thank you moles and LL for all the work you have done to give we the residents a wide variety of homes to choose from. Each model has its charm and I look forward to seeing new reveals. Keeps my fingers and toes crossed for an updated Meadowbrook eventually.
  2. This was my dream home. Petit Lac Des Cygne took me months to complete. I poured my heart and soul into the build and the surrounding landscape. Inara Pey was kind enough to write a blog post about Petit Lac Des Cygne. This is the link to her post that includes more photos. I also include a good friends blog post here. She might be a tad biased. I happily played and dug in pixel dirt with my partner of 5 years, but, all good things end sometimes and I raized Petit Lac Des Cygne to the ground last year. A new dream now takes it place and work continues on Little Swan Lake. I have been fortunate to be able to live out my dreams here in Second Life and I am so very thankful. The old and the new
  3. I retired two of my alt accounts and now down to just three. I have my log home on my main, my OL stilt that I adore on an alt, and one alt left to play GOH with. To be honest though if they ever release a newer Meadowbrook I will be done as it is my dream home style.
  4. There is this community tab in the FS viewer and I tick "reject all friendship requests." Along with that rejection I have a typed response as to why that pops up. As an alternative I offer a calling card. If anyone gets offended that's on them. I never hide my online presence and if I want to contact anyone I can always look them up. I have five people that are on my friends list and two of those rarely log in anymore. They have been near and dear to me since the early days of my SL. If you make it on to my friends list you are pretty darn special. Don't hold your breath as I haven't added anyone for 5 years now.
  5. And there I was probably standing there like a dufus busy reading and posting in the forums.
  6. LOL, you are correct. I need new glasses. And hello neighbor!
  7. I have no idea if this is one that was abandoned or new release region. It sits on the region Kingspoint facing east with the prettiest sunset view from the rear deck. It's about as private as one can get on the stilt regions and has a small island out back. I think I have found my forever stilt home.
  8. ^^^This^^^ plus shrunked head syndrome. Frankly I see a lot of "Pony Thighs" while out and about. Lots of T-Rex arms as well. I love my Maitreya. I've been a loyal customer since the beginning of 2015. It is the only body I will wear. I have tried the other popular bodies and they all lack in some respect. Lara has her issues as well, but, they are minute compared to the others. My opinion, I know, and I am entitled to it. It does not matter how many design for the body. If I love the overall aesthetic I am going to wear it. Same goes for Catwa Catya. I have tried all other major brand mesh heads and none come close to the look I now have. Until Catwa, or who ever comes out with a mesh head that keeps the look I have worked my tail off to achive, I am not switching. I am not a look of the hour, day or week kind of person. One mesh body, one mesh head, one skin. one shape is all I need. I'll spend my lindens elsewhere :)
  9. I have a Log Home that sits on a lot with water views on two sides. It sits off the road and there is no clear cut walk to it. I love that. It's about as perfect as one can get in my view and I have no intention of letting it go. I haven't completed the decorating yet and not in any hurry to do so. For years I have leased a full region, upgrading it to 30K LI about 2 1/2 years back. This is where I can dig in pixel dirt to my heart's content. It is usually open to the public, but is undergoing a complete renovation right now. This time I partitioned a portion of the land for my main residence. Once I reopen the region it will be open as well for a short time for people to tour, then it will go private. I use the Linden Homes more or less as vacation areas. Looking forward to grabbing a stilt home for the tropical vibe as my region is situated in the mountains and hope one day LL will release an updated Meadowbrook, which is my all time favorite, as it was my first home in Second Life. What can I say, I love to decorate in my own good time.
  10. I finished a tour of the new Chalets a bit ago, and I like them. To me they have a storybook vibe to them. All four floorplans included in this reveal are workable. The Edelweiss is my favorite so far. It has just enough rooms. Unlike Littleme I loved the entrance to the Alpenrose. It would be my second choice. All in all the Lindens and Moles have done another fabulous job. Job well done! Still holding out for a updated "Meadowbrook". Pretty please?
  11. "may" being the operative word. I'll keep the LP open and refreshing just in cases.
  12. I visited a few of my favorite stores pre-sale and picked up demos for clothes, and made a list of Home & Garden items where appropriate. I was able to put the demos through a rigorous tryout and was ready with a list the day I went shopping. My total topped 20K but my purchases will stand the test of time, so Lindens well spent to me. This total also included a visit to Tannenbaum and Uber which were not 50% off. Still, Lindens well spent to me. And let's not forget the Arcade that is coming up. Later's, I have to go shop now..
  13. I don't do the Black Friday or the day after Christmas sales, mainly for one reason. Several years back we did the day after Christmas thing until I was at the local Target, with my arms full of wrapping paper. Some woman came down the isle brandishing a large heavy roll of wrap yelling out of my way, out of my way! She proceeding to coldcock me with it and several others in her way, knocking the wrap out of my hands, and almost knocking me to the floor. No apology was forthcoming and I stood there for a moment stunned at what just happen. I said out loud, " Nothing is worth this kind of abuse," and walked away and out the store. I have never done a Black Friday weekend nor a after Christmas day sale since. People are crazy.
  14. Grateful that I wake up every morning looking down at the grass instead of up. Then again it could all be a dream
  15. While we will keep attendance under 25 people as recommended by the governor of our state we are pushing ahead with Thanksgiving plans with children and grandchildren in attendance. We will also do our annual cookie baking day and our before or after Christmas get together with those that are able to attend. This year has sucked in so many ways that I need the human contact with my family. 2020 can just go suck a big one.
  16. I wait for the modern houses as well, but the stilts will entertain me in the meantime
  17. I just took a tour of the stilts to remind me of the layouts. Each one has something to offer. The Lauderdale is the largest I think. The Havana is small but the decks are great and I love that rear covered area. The Tortuga has the best open plan and I think that large area would make a great living/kitchen/dining combo especially if the kitchen opens out to the rear deck for more dining. Love all the windows. The Santiago has upper decks off both rooms upstairs, which would make a great master en suite. I'm not sure I want open water all around me. I think I'll try for partial water/land. Just have to wait and see what my alts capture.
