My own opinion about why the special event or holiday names are so strange is becuase it seems to me that there's been a prior history of people liking to create "interesting" combinations between freely available first names and available last names, so in choosinsg limited time names, perhaps LL chooses selections that lend to doing that? That's the first thing people in the forums do in the comments when new names are made available. For awhile, just after name changing became available, I was able to choose a very normal last name for this account and for my other account, but I ended up switching back to my original account name becuase I was too used to them by that time. I didn't feel like "me" with a last name. The last names I had, which are no longer available on the current last name list, are still available for my accounts to use again, if I decide I want to, sometime in the future. It's what Aang used to refer to males in the Fire Nation, equivalent to the word "gentleman." But I could be wrong.
