We tweaked them as best we could, and both of us are pretty familiar with the sliders. And ended with with okayish. The heads are a dead loss though.

Who knows? When they are actually released, could be better by then.

Lyrics from David Bowie's "Cignet Committee" (essentially a "Big Brother"-type story):

And I want to believe
In the madness that calls 'Now'
And I want to believe
That a light's shining through
Somehow

And I want to believe
And you want to believe
And we want to believe
And we want to live
Oh, we want to live

Well the mesh body creators don't need to worry about anything. I wonder if this is why LL has been pretty quiet about it's release.

Oh gosh.

I have to say though Blake is about the most normal looking male avatar I've seen, I think there's potential in both of them though.

Blake after not shaving for 2 weeks.  At least he can grow hair.  That blood splattered shirt is suspicious*.

It's really hard to make Blake look all that masculine.  He is aimed at the gen z crowd I guess.

* There's not any fast food stand I could find in Aditi. I think Blake ate the rabbit.

I'm glad to hear there's more coming with Jamie and Blake than would appear from their initial presence.  They are 100% an improvement over system avatars (yay!!!), and . . .

What I found, as someone who still uses a system avatar, is that the Jamie hands, arms, feet, legs and the shoulder / neck area are certainly better, but the tummy and lower body are worse, whatever one does with the sliders. The main criticism of the Jamie head (for me) is that the nose profile is concave 'pushed-in' baby nose and whatever you do with the sliders it's not possible to make a 'Roman' nose or even a straight one.

It could be just me, but I get tired of every RL male who is apparently in the "Gen Z" having a full beard.

It's less creepy than pornstaches.

But still - a full beard hides a man's face and makes him look unnecessarily older.

If you want a head with a good Roman nose, Ca'lum makes a few of those. I'm thinking of using a Ca'lum head later on for my Senra. Just put one together a few minutes ago.

It is a spot where nature wants to grow hair, isn't it?
There must be a reason why mother nature wants to hide our faces.

I mean maybe these men, want to appear as a little older. I think that is okay. There are some men who just want to shave it off, some men who just enjoy a little bit of facia hair, and some men who love a full beard and mustache experience. I really don't see an issue with that.

Certainly! It's their choice, doesn't mean I have to find it attractive.

Back on topic: Do NUX have a full beard option? BONUS: It would hide a lot of the face!

Never said you did. I can imagine later on in the future they introduce that, and maybe some creators will rig mesh beards for the senra avatar.

I still think this is the best option a newbie could go for.

Yes, and I feel the same way about Lions.  :)

Gen-Zers have facial hair because they don't have time to shave - too busy posting on the internet...

And since so many work at home, or don't have jobs at all, who cares if you are clean shaven?  Same with us retirees - shaving is a waste of time.  Ever notice how many long beards from the oldsters?

There is too much here for me to read it all, so please forgive me if I repeat what others have said.

I tried Jamie. I was somewhat disappointed, considering the time and effort that have gone into these avatars. The avatar itself was just OK. I would have expected a simplified, intuitive HUD for the body with limited functionality instead of no HUD. I tried the tank top, shorts, and jeans. The tank fit well and needed no alpha mask. The jeans fit poorly and definitely needed one. The shorts were knee-length. The underwear was awful; it was solid plain white completely lacking any details.  The hair was quite disappointing. There was no makeup. The default shape was not one that I thought was attractive, but was easily improved (by someone with many years' experience in SL) enough to be OK. The names of the various items were not descriptive at all.

One change that could be made easily, quickly, and at low cost that would make this avatar friendlier to new users would be to give all items descriptive names, e.g., "Red Tank Top," "Very Pale Skin," "Tall Thin Shape." Another is to include multiple descriptively-named shapes. It's much easier for a new user to choose a shape from among several offerings than it is to learn to edit shapes. And, please, do something about the ugly underwear. Another is to include instructions. Probably the best way would be to have a NC Named "READ ME FIRST" that contained a link to a short online video.

If technically feasible, it would be worth considering providing a number of pre-made outfits. Even if outfit folders couldn't be used, almost the same functionality could be achieved with regular folders containing links. That would make it much easier for new people to put an avatar together.

The Avatar is still in Beta, and if you have any ideas to improve the avatar. I would put in a Jira. That being said, why do you want a HUD for the Senra Avatars?

The underwear has details, and it's one of the few items that's different for Blake vs. Jamie. Blake has dresses, but no bra. Jamie's panties have a little bow on them, while Blake's jockey shorts don't.

You are right. I still think the underwear should be nicer-looking.

At least it isn't a permanent part of the avatar!
