It's wasn't the pics!!!  A few of them yes but not enough to warrant any backlash.  It's the sexually suggestive comments.  Do you even actually read what people write?

I had more written but I know you'll never listen so why bother.  I think I'll follow Jordan off this particular train wreck.

To be honest, Pearl...I didn't see any others but yours.  I've never seen any pics on SL forums with people in bed and saying stuff like "it was good, wasn't it" (paraphrasing as I cannot remember exactly what you said).  Plus other posts I thought were X-rated, imo.  So worse or better for someone else, first off, I've never seen any, and secondly if it was going on for weeks, I'd remind them also this is a public forum which anyone can visit more or less.  If it were an Adults only forum, we'd all have to be verified just to use the forum and I'm sure none of us nor the Linden's want that because it would be a closed forum with adult verification needed and browsers like to have a look around before they join sometimes too.

If the Linden's haven't thought of any of your posts "too adult" than perhaps it's up to them, or perhaps they are just weighing the matter.  I have not reported anything as being too adult, however, I was just expressing my opinion of some of the content that's gone on in the past two weeks and it was from you.  I didn't see any others.  I don't view all the posts on the pic threads though but rather here and there, such as once in awhile.   But, again, I can block you as you asked if it bothers me.  I didn't really want to have to do that.

How about the one with two women in bed with the one on top being naked (not frontal), with the caption "Shhh Don't tell". Or a recent one with full naked breasts showing, and a tiny bikini bottom?

And don't we have to be 18 to join second life?

Pearl, you're not reading what people are saying -- including me.

This is not about how "explicit" your pics are. We have said that. I have said that.

It's about you literally narrating your own personal sexual encounters here, in public, on the forum, to an audience who doesn't want to know.

This falls under the category of "TMI" -- waaaaaaay too much information.

It's not merely that we don't care. It's that we do not want to be party to what goes on between you and others in an intimate context. Please stop making people here -- and I'm referring specifically, actually, to the picture threads, which are not yours, and are community-centred -- involuntary witnesses to your sexuality.

C'mon, Pearl. You're smart, You get this. You understand this. Just say "Ok, fair enough," and stop doing it.

I didn't see them.   But, you know as well as I full frontal nudity is not allowed on a public (open - general audience) forum anywhere that is U.S. based.  But, it happens from time to time.  Even FB will bite your head off if you show pictures of your own babies birth videod by the parent to be for example.  Even birth videos are not allowed on FB unless all parts covered.

But, I gotta do stuff.  If the thread is still running, it's running is what I was trying to say as well as it's up to the Lindens, so I'm leaving it up to you what you want to do with the info people have said.

I'm not sure why you insist on doing this, when you know that it makes people -- not "trolls" or prudes, but reasonable, rational people like Rowan, Daf, and Lil -- uncomfortable.

Hey!  I'm rational and uncomfortable too!!!

Although, I actually think she's doing exactly that.  Telling us all to **** off as I'm sure she has a few people telling her it's ok.

Yet you still posted that last picture with YOUR comment.  Scylla may not think your intention is to tell the rest of us to eff off but a good number of your fellow forumites certainly feel that's exactly what you're doing.  And has also been pointed out, it's not just this thread but several others.  I find it hard to believe you are that naive and just play that card when it suits you.  "Golly, I didn't realize..blah blah blah". The shtick is getting old, Pearl.

^^^ THIS TOO ^^^

*pats the seat beside her*  Plenty of room for you @RowanMinx and the shows on this new channel are much better quality too.

Just an FYI, even though we must be at least 18 to join SL (ETA correction: 16 actually), there are additional forum rules which include:

  • Vulgarity, Profanity, and Sexually Explicit Content: No name calling, expletives, or any language that is offensive, pornographic, or sexually explicit. Profanity, hate speech, or threats of violence are not permissible.
  • Nudity or Adult Content: Keep the content of your postings “General” as provided in the Maturity Guidelines. Postings that do not comply with the “General” rating may be removed.

I have seen explicit pictures posted by others that have been removed, so it's not only your posts that are under the radar. The rules apply to everyone. If there are any explicit pictures that have not been removed, I can only imagine it's due to them being missed by moderators and no one has reported them. Regardless of that though, seeing someone else break the rules shouldn't prompt us to follow suit as well, right?

And if a poster repeatedly pushes those limits rather than just a one-off, then it makes sense to hear some complaints.

IMO, observing rules isn't about being pedantic, a killjoy or a forum police. It's about showing respect to other members.

If you want to make sensual commentary along with your PG rated pictures, go for it! Just post them in a thread in the Adult section of the forum 🙂

For those who won't otherwise be able to see this.

I would have been more impressed if this wasn't a rerun of every single other thread where she...

A) does something offensive
B) gets called out for it
C) decides this is the hill she is dying on so defends, deflects and denies what she is doing
D) has her supporters charge on in to defend her actions as justified
E) continues to get called out
F) tells people to "mute me then"
G)carries on until someone like you, @Scylla Rhiadra, one of her friends, calls her out on it
H) decides to backtrack with a lame apology or promise to stop doing it

We are all wasting our breath here.

We asked her to stop reminding us with every second breath that she's an escort, and she said no.

We asked her to apologise for her insults against people with disabilities, and again she said no.

She claims over and over again to misunderstand, yet fails to change her ways when it's explained in language a three year old would comprehend. And no, a person cannot be that stupid and still have the mental capacity to use a platform as complicated as Second Life. Which leaves only one explanation; her actions can only be deliberate. At best, she's doing it to promote her business. At worst, she's doing it maliciously.

So, I have no reason to believe that any amount of asking or telling or explaining or pleading or begging is going to make one whit of difference here.

Sadly I think that the only thing that will stop her is an outright forum ban, and even more sadly I suspect that everyone who might otherwise have reported her posts that break the TOS, already have her blocked.

That one ended up getting removed.

You can actually join SL at the age of 16, but you will be limited to General regions.  Regardless of age for joining, this is about what sort of content LL wants in the general (not Adult) sections of the forums and about what the members generally want to see.

Just to add to what you've said, the actual guidelines for the forums, regardless of whether it is in the adult section, still say all content in SL communities must be General in nature.  I'm guessing there is a bit more leeway as to what that is in the adult section but who knows where they'll draw the line.

I think it's something more like this:  Adhere to the rules of General, Moderate or Adult whether it's inworld or on secondlife.com (this includes the foums and Marketplace too).

Global Standards, Local Ratings

All areas of Second Life, including the www.secondlife.com website and the Second Life Forums, adhere to the same Community Standards. Regions within Second Life are noted as Safe or Unsafe and should be designated by the SL account holder as either "Adult," "Moderate" or "General." Resident behavior within each region must conform to the respective local rating.

Okay, thanks.  I wonder what they have an "adult" section for....?   Also, as far as General, the Lindens gave two examples:  1)  Be sure it something you would share with your Grandmother, and 2) Be sure it something you would share with grade schoolers.  These two examples are what 'general' posts should contain - something we'd share with Grandma and the grade schoolers, and I think that is because General is for everyone from the smallest to the oldest, even great-great-great Grandma.  This is "puritanical" American guidelines - it's pretty much the same across all forms of media for General - must be for the youngest through the oldest and all in-between.
