You asked about my opinions, so here you go:

IMVU - tried it a couple of times, not interested

Second Life - I've been a regular user since 2007

Woozworld - never heard of it

Habbo - heard of it, but never used it

Twinity - I was an early user, but it's a dead world with few users

SmallWorlds - never heard of it

OurWorld - never heard of it

Fantage - never heard of it

Stardoll - never heard of it

Neopets - never heard of it

World of Warcraft - I played for about a year, never got up past level 20

Poptropica - never heard of it

Club Penguin heard of it, never used it

Moshi Monsters - never heard of it

WeeWorld - never heard of it

Webkinz - never heard of it

Meez - never heard of it

Minecraft -heard of it, never used it

Roblox - tried it once, not interested

Most of these are CLEARLY aimed more towards children and teenagers rather than adults. If you want an up-to-date list of social VR, virtual worlds, and metaverse platforms, you can use my list as a starting point:

Possible survey disguised as innocent question?

Maybe mods will just move it to “General Discussion”.

GD is indeed a better place

and nah... i don't think there's a disguise :) ..however i wonder more with every post i see by this user, why is he here, while he doesn't even play inworld. But it migh explain the irrelevant postings, there's no connection with the source of the forums : Second Life itself.

This list makes no sense at all. Its randomly thrown together, putting very different things into one box and slapping "virtual world" on it.

Its like a list of "ey, which of these things do you prefer over the others" and then you find a list of things that just have in common that they all have wheels.

Apparently according to all the previous posts, not been in world for a year but is studying and too busy for in world (but has time to keep creating posts)

Thats the nature of studying. Suddenly you have time for everything but studying.

The last couple of years I have been liking the big open virtual worlds..

One is,The Division..Not really because of the game itself but because of the weather effects in it..It has one of the best winter effects in any virtual world I've ever experienced..

It takes place in New York, but reminds me of the winters in Chicago.. From the slushy wet days to big fluffy flake snows to blizzard whiteouts..

And when it snows it gets on your clothes in the same way it would in the real world and when you go inside you still have the snow on you and it thaws while you are indoors..

When it's nothing but wet muddy winters in Tennessee most of the time,it's nice to be able to get the snowy winter feels again, even though it's not really real.

It just feels good to run around these streets  is all.. hehehe

I think this was my favorite time was at night, just running around when it's light calm snow.. This is so soothing..Well ,when you're not fighting the bad guys anyways..hehehe

My preferred virtual world has large coherent landscapes where I can walk or drive for miles and miles without annoying interruptions, it's highly immersive so I can feel I'm a part of it rather than just a spectator, it's fast enough to load and run I don't have to wait too long, it doesn't require a powerhouse of a computer, it has an easy-to-use interface that doesn't distract me from the experience and it's full of itneresting people and experiences.

Oh well, I can dream, can't I?

In the meantime, SL isn't too bad compared to the others.
