When I logged to SL today, I experienced very similar situation as @Syn Anatine described. There he was, a naked guy, wearing only shoes, relaxing on my bed as if he was waiting for someone. Just a moment later his lady arrived and joined him. I approached them and told the guy that he could at least take his shoes off. He told me to f... off and they disappeared. My first intruder was so much nicer, at least she rezzed a cake for me.

Apparently, not many folks wish to be friends and rather choose to be rude... like that one time when m-alt and his lady were chilling and in comes that ultra styled someone with a TP, immediately starting, "This is private, you sick sh***! Don't you know?!!". Well yes, kick and ban probably gave a hint to that person who owns that private place.

Or one of our little circle greets an uninvited visitor with, "Welcome to our home!" and the visitor insists, "This is no home, you rude f***, this is public place!!11!" ... more love for the ban list.

As an example for the RP stuff, once there was a foxy furry lady coming in and I sent her a warning, like, "Hey, watch out... the dogs might pick up your trail. I'd love a "The Fox and the Hound" story, but I doubt that they have heard about it..."

Didn’t know the “stand up” button generally works with furniture to stop moving?

yeah sort of found that out by then but took time (and very long) to refind it. 1st xp with scripted furns.

   This thread has given me an idea. Maybe I'll script my bed so that anyone sitting on it and not on an invitee list, is moved, with an animation and offset, to appear stuck halfway through a nearby window.

You can doo all sort of stuff, such as move the bed with the user on it, to the outside of the building, and move the bed back when it becomes vacant. Or rotate it to upside down.

Trouble is, people would come just to have a ride on it lol.

Beds like that already exist.
I have a bed that the owner can set to "castration mode" - it flips the male onto their back & cuffs them.  Female stands over the bed with a chinsaw.
It even has blood & screams & a temp rezzed cut off part of the anatomy.
Not that I would ever do such a terrible thing to unwanted bed visitors of course....

I like 'map hopping'. One day I lands there's a lady doing up her land. I apoligised for intruding, we got chatting. Turns out she had just purchased the land, and furthermore she was the creator of the famous freebie cuqui cave ! We chatted awhile and then off I went.
