LL's server side is closed source and not open to being able to be connected to from the outside, All we really have is opensim and that will not work with SL.

assets are on aws, cdn is content delivery network and if that's slow, the closets one to you, it would make things load slow. aws/cdn are 2 different setups and 2 different companies, so depending on the route to you from the cdn, it could be causing it.

This is not going to work out well for you if you do it, we are only licensing to use items from the content creators, even teh full perm ones, you'll be in court for a long time trying to fight this "well it's mine" sch tick.

LL runs top of the line servers on their own private fiber ring that has connections to major backbones and the asset servers are on aws along with some other service at this time, Their machines are not the cause.

I would still love to have more people come in, and a few franchies come in, since there are star gate and star trek (I love rp) that I would love to be at constantly instead of being at my house all the time (I'm a furball, I'm not very welcome places because of the stigma on furries)

Think with this is, MS will do what they did before, XP became unsupported because the tools to build the viewers with went to newer tools that will not compile or build under windows and the redistributals will not work under windows xp. So once that happens and it will because ms likes to tinker, 7 will lose it's place and people will have to move to windows 10 (or what ever there is next) or lose their SL, I had to bite the bullet several years back and build a whole new system, was not cheap, but will last me for a very very long time to come and still have massive headroom for upgrades.
