  1. it's still visible on lsl calls and there are other ways of getting the information even if you hide it, there are bots that can get any information.
  2. you pay 175 a month per region, that's not multiple, that is 1 region (sim) if you had 2, you would be paying for each one each month, even if they have the same payment date.
  3. No, you can not. lsl has a few functions for calling of the information too, so even if you could hide it, the system could pull it and give people the information that way.
  4. I just updated to that this morning and not having any issues with my 980s or the tv's they are connected too. so results may vary.
  5. and quite often because of how I've got my system setup some of that unicode is [] lol, so it's been weird seeing unicode in []
  6. but you must first eat the bowl of runny snot.
  7. Okay let me chim in here, I own a webhosting company and still have physical hardware presence in data centers, with a few servers running on aws too. my costs Cabinet 300 usd monthly rental hardware, I have 6 dell poweredge-r740 sitting in the rack right now. that's about 9k worth of hardware. I have to pay for power, so that's 0.0014 center per kwh. I pay close to 300 usd a month in power too. BackHaul from the provider supplying the cabinet with internets, using their switch, is 150 a month for unmetered (which just changed, so no more 50 usd over each month) Then I am paying for hands on support once a month for the servers, the data center handles that and helps with reboots and such if I need it or to install updates with putting a drive or usb thumb drive into the physical machines. that's 75 a month. SO I have 1500 base clients, and another 1500 on aws, aws it's weird pricing and not a flat fee, so I pay I think 200 a monthish? maybe more, I have to check, it comes out of the pay I make on the physical side, now with 1500 clients, some with many many multiple sites, I bring in a little over 1200 usd a month. SO I'm putting out 725+ usd a month and only bringing in 1200 usd. so 475 a month, so that's not including local and state fee's and the 2 people I employee 1 day a week to handle tickets, I'm way into the negative, so if I cut prices, what would happen to me? I would be shelling out more money from my own pocket to survive, at that rate I would maybe have a month at the most I could afford it? maybe? Thing is people really need to understand if we put the platform in jeopardy with cutting massive land costs, we will lose SL as we know it.
  8. well roxy, let's see. hmm the meeroo's are sleeping on the beach. about all they do lol.
  9. We know times are tough and we know you have had to set aside and keep your people at home during this pandemic, but thank you, thank you so much for keeping the grid alive for us to use and have fun with and to socialize with, I'm currently stuck working as an "essential worker" so my risks of getting sick are high up there with no paid sick leave and no hazard pay, but when I do get sick, SL will be here for me so I will be able to continue having some hope and happiness in my life. you rule LL!.

(I'll have to check my maths with my actual bills when I get home)
  11. I try, but I know that's how it typically ends up, I'll feel defeated in a bit.
  12. I'm the kind of person to try and help them understand, I think they have ZERO idea and are just upset and causing a riot in the forums right now.
  13. oh oh I recognize those pictures!, they had some issues with language and not understanding you cant blast your profile with porn and kept doing it, now they do not show up in search, and now have taken to the forum it seems, bad way of trying to get anyone to listen to them at this point.
  14. No, he's cute and all, but he's just not my type or gender for that matter.
  15. Also remember shadows in certain places will cause massive fps drops, so always keep that in mind and turn them on and off if and when you find yourself in those areas.
  16. The forum is tied to the LL database on sign up, LL did not make the forum, it's done by another company and the features you mentioned about im'ing people and such from it are not anything I've ever seen with any forum software, it would take custom work for that to happen.
  17. where are you seeing this? I have never seen a feature on the SL website like that.
  18. Better Frame Rate: that's not going to happen in the long run, user created content is unoptimized, sorry but it's the nature of SL. Lower Sim Prices: LL can only do so much before it hit's their bottom line, it's not cheap and it never will be cheap, Lower the prices go , the more people go nuts and start buying, which in turns means more hardware, more bandwidth, more hands on support, things that will take anything they earn and make them have to throw it right back into hardware and such, it's a no win situation on this one. Real First Person Mode: Not sure I understand this one at all. Xbox one controller support: I use a wired usb xbox controller and it's supported, you just have to set it up, as SL is a keyboard and mouse interface, just like most other mmorpgersthings.
  19. Okay that helped lots you can ignore what I typed, I figured it was something else, first time seeing some one ask about it like this. Sorry
  20. Not the first time I've seen this. I think it's mostly confusion because of the written language barrier.
  21. I know, I was helping to explain what things were being thrown around as best as I could in a manner that seemed helpful
  22. I would have no idea, I am not Linden Lab employee's I am just a user just like you, Only LL will have that information. Just keep checking you're email address and spam folders for information about the account that's locked out.
  23. a termination is normally forever. suspensions are sometimes different rates, but I have no idea how long suspensions could be for since LL does not post that information. But account termination if you get that in the email will say you are not allowed to use the service and you are not to signup again with a new account to circumvent that.
  24. if you have been banned from using the service, it would/could be considered ban evasion and can results in termination of this account too.
