  1. Yep some cross checking - seems you agree to where you sign back in first after the change (inworld, forum, MP) Makes sense..well to a degree
  2. Yep, surprised me too (I had just seen it logging inworld but don't remember ever having to agree to any revision to get on the forum before) And yes - did read it (well skimmed to be honest to the juicy bits)
  3. Don't mind if it is a totally blank canvas (selfish mind indeed) but if some of my stuff transfers even better:) Else can flog it off somewhere I'm sure.. If not lets see - mesh (as long as theres Blender or similar) check textures (as long as theres the Gimp or similar) check scripts - please if there is going to be a new script language let us know early so we can get up to speed. I will even polish up my rusty c sharp or (shudders) python if needed. A brand new one (at least new to me) would be even more fun:) Oh and yadda yadda social side of course...think that covers the lot
  4. Then again, its FB users (average age - yer Grannie) so who cares PS can we move on to more Borg Queen pics please?
  5. Yes, use it quite often in its 'legacy' format - never had much time for the 'new' format (mostly TPV user)
  6. Well, can't find you listed on MP so hard to say if the new stuff that seems to be all the rage is the reason (besides mesh bodies - not my dept anyway) But hey, go for it! I'm sure moving from here (currently online, barely scraping over 34000) to there (currently online - 166 although it is a quiet summer Thursday) will be the solution =^^= And I bet your competitors would not mind a bit
  7. Try the Library section of your Inventory. All the vehitars still show there for me, for example-
  8. Short and sweet and right on the nose. One of the most sensible reactions yet. (And if we could have a bunch of Blender like capability coupled with the ease of in world tools I would gladly sacrifice my firstborn - metaphorically). (ETA my spelling is atrocious pre coffee)
  9. '..This may be the sanest thing for LL to do...' hmm sane and the Lab in one line =^^= But I only have one question - where do I sign up? Because if its going to be even a tenth of the fun I have had for the last 7 odd years I want in
  10. 'Doorbell ordinance' was not a term I was familiar with ... now I know I fully support the idea Mind you, as its 5 flights of stairs to my front door and the bell doesn't work (really must seriously consider wiring it back in) probably a moot point. Still wondering how the OPs penny stock idea worked out. Oh and in answer to the original, I came to SL initially to sculpt. Seven years later I might get around to it.
  11. Tex Monday wrote: NO!!! As Tex rather summed up my response so perfectly I thought it easier to quote directly.
  12. Sensors showing a visible field...interesting. All of them? Nor all are security after all... Although to be honest I have not written a sensor based system since the introduction of Agent scanning by parcel (llGetAgentList). Much more flexible.
  13. Phil wrote "The questions did appear to show a pre-conceived idea about SL users. It wasn't the way they were put though. It was that there were only such questions. However, every question had a range of answer options, from Never to Always, so there really wasn't a negative bias." Actually, I took the survey and as I pointed out in my comment, the 'Never' response was not present, but instead had "Does not apply". So your assertion that no negative bias was present is not valid. If the OP changed it after I commented then perhaps something was learned. But I doubt that.
  14. 'A few weeks ago there was a massive distributed denial of service attack on one of our upstream service providers ' there you go a negative - who and on what? Else its the sort of fluff I used to peddle to middle management eedjuts eta ach i forgot how to spell manglement
  15. Yes it is - if you are the one who imported it in the first place. (Yes it sounds a bit silly but for certain builds its easier for me to actually build in world with some simplified mesh 'prims' that I made in Blender - simple open boxes with 4 materials already in as place holders for example - and then use the viewers export DAE option to take the linkset back to Blender for clean up. Keep in mind my Blender skills can be measured in sub nano units)
  16. re 'The millions of people who use those spaces are irrelevent' well not quite. Out of the millions that are Twits or FaceBorgers there are those that can be informed if their interests include Second Life and indeed this happens. It depends on whether they choose to use those services (I had to expunge what I was going to call them there ) in that way. Information made available via a mass penetration social medium regarding Second Life is as 'irrelevent' as informing any other special interest group in the same manner. I would be fascinated to see real numbers regarding how many people do use this forum as opposed to or in conjunction with other sources.
  17. Not sure yet, ask again when I have done everything....
  18. A 'why what did I do' reaction? I might consider that if I was dealing with an actual 13 year old as it would be resonable enough - in different circumstances perhaps - but not to another supposed adult. Can't have it both ways.
  19. But, as another 50 year old male of UK origin, neither would I have seen it as 'an innocent chat' but as a come on. And still made from the representation of a 13 year old female. RP mode or not, it would have made my mane stand on end. From my point of view, any rudeness came from the insistence of trying to engage the OP in any form after they had clearly stated they were uncomfortable for a very specific reason. It has nothing to do with asinine sweeping generalisations.
  20. Made my day But i always reckoned Gonzo was misunderstood....
  21. Well harsh responses or not, the part where the OP says '... and since lightning rarely strikes twice, tranfered my REAL trove of lindens to the recently attacked avie...' strikes me as - hmmm better not say:) Lets settle for foolish, especially as this would have been done after, by OPs account, having the hijacking reported to the Lab... Also, why would an 'attacker' set the password back so the OP could get into the account to do so anyway?
