I got a fatpack of head skins for 65 L, so my search is over.... even with the body skins it is half price of what I would paid the one who offer no demos. Great to have the pack, I had such a hard time deciding if I should buy tone 7 or 8, but now I have them all. I have no idea when the sale ends, if it is Monday 4th of May or further. I started the thread because the original poster took offence to discussing this further in that thread. Personally, I am open to a "water" clausul in the covenant. With that I mean a height restriction for permanent builds in the water area. One of the larger yachts/speedboats I have in my inventory would fill almost all the water part and be as tall as the default Linden houseboat, and a rule against builds in water would not apply for mooring a boat. So one can add more and more rules, and it will always be something else that the neighbor wish wasn't there. I was a bit horrified when I read somewhere - can't find it again now - about "large add-ons around the lake in Hammond Park", because I have a house there and a large add-on. I decided not to ask what parcel(s) it was.

Wow, Izzie really have a solution for everything we need to tweak. I have some tattoos in my inventory that's named "Skin burners" and they turn you into someone who fell asleep in the tanning bed, they are so horrible. But these from Izzie look usable.

Hi, I am starting this as a spin-off from another thread. The thread was about a houseboat owner who had: A fake sand beach, a raised pool and palm trees. I looked at the images (that is removed) and agreed that it was not the best use of a houseboat... but it was not a direct breach of the height restrictions. The houseboats is placed side by side, they do not have so much public ground between them. Often only a pier. I tried to view this as a house owner: A Traditional house at the water's edge. The owner places a 4 m high fence, an add-on build, an overground pool, a pergola on top of the pool surround and a couple of palm trees. The house behind has lost their view, so they AR it because his garden items is blocking their view. Nothing is over 14 m, and the trees does not encroach. Yes or no, should this be removed? Should only the palm trees be removed since there are no Mole made palm trees, and so palms are not in theme? Are houseboats under a special obligation to keep open views for the neighbors, but not houses on ground? Should houseboats have a special note in the covenant? Like a rule for the use of water: It can not have permanent builds that raise more than 0,75 m above water? This would still allow fake sand. Should the note also say that wood piers is allowed, but not sand? Should only potted plants be allowed? My worries is that if we raise a petition to LL about tightening the covenant, and this is agreed upon by LL who updates the covenant, what stops another group from doing the same, and so on.

People are allowed to have different opinions, and some writes it short and blunt. For me who has been bullied as a child in real life and had real stones thrown at me, it is sad to see how people use the same words to describe forum posts.

All who use add-ons or other structures is imposing their theme on others. It is a thing I like = good taste. It is something I don't like = find something wrong. It is strange to rise the pool, but it is within the 15 m height, I am sure of it. The trees is small and not overhanging, I am not sure, but I think they are mesh and not sculpts that stay as grey spheres a long time before they rez. If it is a planter around the trunk or not, one have to look on the deck instead of looking at the view. I do not like to contact others, so I understand why people do not ask the neighbor if he/she could be so kind and lower the pool, because it blocks the view? I believe (general) you when you say many just moves instead. And that is not good at all, but the covenant would be really, really strict if everything that possibly can negativly impact the neighbors is not allowed. First they take this pool, then they take terraces, over ground pools on land and add - ons. This can backfire.

It's a nice dream. Another great thing, I am sure it is mentioned 100 times before, is to transfer homes between accounts. LL will probably not do this either, because then people keep alts in premium so they don't lose the best home? But I can wish. That is the downside of Linden Homes. What to afford, what to keep, the sadness when a dear home is gone. Be it abandoning the "wrong" home or a trial to abandon and grab with another account that goes wrong.

I thought about it, but I read a lot in Seraphim, different sales and events, and often browse the Marketplace. I could not say that I recognized some. Stolen skins often come in one tone only, and a wildly different style, different ads, they look like garage sales tossed together. Her poster looked totally mouthwatering. I was so ready to give her money, that I: A : Joined her group to look for demos. It was no gifts involved, so I had no other reason to join. B : Got the landmark, and went to her Mainstore from the event, to look for demos. C : Opened her profile to contact her. I only put in this much work when I am exited and think a product is worth some legwork. I was very ready to drop 1 k linden. So there you have one with enough taste to set up a store, and make attractive ads. I read in Seraphim, and went to (event) to get demos for 2 things: Kitten heeled sandals and her skins. (Edit: I bought the sandals for me and one alt. I may buy them for a third too. Demos pay off.)

She is new to me and others. It is LL policy not to name and shame. These threads often end up in badmouthing. I do not want a warning in case this one ends up like that. The seller has only 1 one star review in her marketplace store, that I found after I posted here. Someone had bought a skin unseen and posted: "I thought I'd try the skin based on how realistic it looked and took a chance..." then went on listing up what she had found out when she tried it on.

I know this is not likely to happen, but it is a wish, right? The ability to go back. Let us say, you have a location you like, but you are beginning to be restless. But you are afraid to let go, and get only bad locations and miss what you abandoned. I am shocked because their inworld store is well put together, sleek and tasteful. Plus participating in a major event. It has to be some vetting and a fee to have a market vendor? Even in these times when it is lots and lots of gifts, I want a skin that is not like the free Caucasian skins that's given away. And I will pay for it. Yes, the attitude is really off-putting. I wonder what she would respond with if I bought a skin and had a question or needed help. Would she ignore me? Decide I was too unimportant? I get that impression. It is not 100 L skins, but the prices is not bad. I would say reasonable for good quality. Well within what I can and will pay for skins. But we who post on this forum is not the majority of SL shoppers, so can a store get sales without demos? Be in one of the most visited events and people just buy them without a demo? I am just a big question mark. I hope this is not a new trend!

I think that I made awesome avatars from 2011. My images on Flickr from back then look good. So, that was me bragging. But it was not easy or fast. It took a long time to edit all the sculpted parts in place, find poses that worked with the avatar without breaking it, then edit the parts to fit the pose. Plus finding hair that did not clip through the body, or change pose again. The still image look good, but when I released my avatar from the static pose, the attachments had to be edited back. It was not as easy as people remember if you used lots of attachments and not only system clothes. It is another kind of work to customize an avatar now. And it is another kind of problems. Back then, the attachments could be edited so they fit over the avatar without clipping, that was because they were not rigged. But then, when the avatar moved, the attachments did not move correct with it. I can just mention belly piercings. Sculpted jackets. When an avatar is dressed now, the parts move together if they are well rigged. In my opinion, I have sacrificed some freedom to wear whatever I want, to get better performance. I also think the textures rezzing is the biggest problem now. I am not sure what can be done with it. Only LL can enforce some limits, but they are very reluctant to break existing content? I never use the official Linden viewer, so I do not know how the finished version of EEP light looks like. But I tried on a test version some months ago.... Let us say I was not happy. I can imagine someone installing the newest official Linden viewer and say "What has happened to SL? It looks so strange now." It is still many bugs, from what I read in the feedback thread. If how SL look is the problem, download a third party viewer and SL looks like you remember.

I will not name the store. I was in (one of the large monthly events), and I noticed pretty skins. I decided to take a demo with me and try at home. As I usually do. I could not find a demo. I thought it was an oversight. Some creators send demos in their group. I found the group, nothing. I even went to the mainstore. Imagine when I found no demos at all?? I open the creator's profile. It says on the front page: Please do NOT tell me how I should run my store, (redacted) doesn't offer demos so please do NOT ask me about offering demos, i will ignore you. I am just doing what works for me. I can do whatever I want...This is My store, My products, & My rules. I am just perplexed. From the ads, this would be instant buy for one of my avatars unless something in the demo was wrong. Now I am asking you, would you buy based upon an ad alone? The creator can do what she want, but is this some elitist thinking? My products is so good that I don't need demos?

Maybe too late to reply, but the Bellisseria Themes all offer at least 4 different homes in each theme. The house you see pictured there is an example. Best of all, you change the house on the place. If you go name your home and go "next" you will see thumb images of the other homes. Or campers, if you pick campers, or boats if you pick boats, and so on. You can safely agree to this, because you are not given one until you come so far that you "I agree I have read the terms and conditions" and click "Accept". You can abandon and choose homes 5 times in a 24 hour period, then you start on new 5 picks, and so on. It can be fun to pick a Log Home and find the different house controls, just to see how they work. 4 different homes in what looks like a wood mailbox outside, and a house interior controller inside by the entrance. If you think this style is not for you, you know how it works and can watch the land page to look for a home in another style. Since the other themes are finished and released, it would have to be an abandoned home. So far I have not bought anything from the last weekend sales. It was becoming too much. Like a job, to teleport from store to store and pick up things just because they are cheap.
