It is sad! But does it have a skin named BoM in the pack? You can use it on Legacy, if you activate the small "BoM" button that is hidden in the HUD. It is videos on Youtube that show Legacy with BoM, and you should be able to find out where to turn it on from the videos.

First, I am not American, so I can only say this as an outsider. I read American newspapers, but I find that I agree with the conservative news outlets most. I do not support rioters at all. I wish how I could really explain and talk to people how easy BOM is. I do not find the right words, I am afraid. I speak English, but the nuances may not be sophisticated enough. I think of BOM as a canvas where the layers are projected. The BOM mesh bodies are like a sophisticated version of the default system avatar. As long as I can remember, LL refused to update the default avatar because that would break existing content. Body parts was first made out of desperation to hide the paddle feet. Yes, it was even sculpted toes and feet before mesh. LL was sitting back and let this happen. First body parts, then full avatars covering the avatar and hiding it with an alpha layer. For this, you needed to learn the applier madness, and increased the need for lots of makeup slots and the need to learn how to mix slots. I am old in SL, and used heads since they were first made, but the appliers on upper, lower layer, combining this slot with that slot, was frustrating. Now people are resisting to use BOM because they think it is difficult. While it is the opposite. Click and add. Click and take off. Setting up the mesh avatar with BOM is a one time experience. Find how to turn it on, and forget it. Continue like you use your classic avatar. This is for you who say you do not have time to fiddle with the mesh bodyparts. You can have the more sleek look with hands and toes that look good, and continue to add and take off your layers. Wear and replace classic skins. Just as you did before. Use your alpha layers and the mesh clothes you already bought. As your wardrobe grows, maybe you will buy a bathing suit that is made for that body and follow it so tight that you don't have to alpha anything. Your skin show up on your body, matching the head skin on the classic avatar perfect because it IS the same skin. If you have a full body tattoo that goes up on the neck, no need to have a body applier for body X and another applier for head Y. And find the right applier slots on the head to use that tattoo with hairbase, lipstick, eyebrows and all other makeup. Or beard, for those who use it. Just find the tattoo with the tattoo layer symbol, click on it and add it. So simple. Okay, this was my daily speak about how I love BOM. How can we tall new people about this, so they understand? In my opinion, dropping the applier talk and using layers are way easier. And one can still use appliers with or without materials if one wishes too, combining both for those who want it. That can be the second step. It is even a 1 L male and a free female body now, ready to use mesh. It is a one time job, turning on media and activate BOM. Then turn off media. You use the HUD again if you need to change feet, or you need to use the alpha in the HUD. These things are done without media. To find clothes that fit, for a builder avatar or a sales representative avatar, that change only a few times a year, is easy. It is enough on the market, but not for the fashonista who shop every event and every weekend sale. For @Prokofy Neva, this would be an even cheaper avatar. It is faster to learn, and the library skins work. Shorter learning curve. Using the words BOM or Bakes on Mesh is perhaps complicating it. I have heard about land buying bots. Can it be bots that are looking for very cheap land to swap up? I mean I have heard stories about persons setting wrong price when they will sell, missing a zero, and not have time to correct it before it is bought? Or 2 avatars in an empty region and they are so innocent that one person set land to sale for 0, and before the other can click buy, it is taken.

If you have BOM activated, it will show. Click on one of the layers in your inventory and add. You have tried it? If I don't understand what you are asking, forgive me. English isn't my 1 language.

You need a BOM skin. See where it says "Use BOM skin"? That is not the same as picking on of the skins in that HUD. BOM skin = system skin. Only difference is that the BOM skins have nails removed and usually better quality than the older system skins. What's your head? Is it a mesh head or not? If it is not mesh, just click "Use BOM skin" and the skin you have on should show up on the mesh body. (Disclaimer: I don't use Tonic, so I am guessing it works this way) If you like your skin, there are lots of BOM fixes on the Marketplace that helps with ugly nails. Then you can start layering your system layers as you do with your classic body.

Hi, I only use human heads and the eyes attach to eyes there. But, if you have a big head that is not human shapes, like a wolf, you will need help from others who use these heads. I was googling in hope to find some videos, and could not find any. But I found the Marketplace ad, and there are many reviews who say they can't get any eyes to work with it, if it is the Paws Maned Wolf head. If you bought eyes that is supposed to work with this head, contact the seller and ask: How do I use these eyes? Or else, ask in furry groups. I assume you have read all notecards and instructions already.

Catwa in particular, have a nose that demand a nose job on the skin, to fit well. Also the inner eye corners are not working well with skins that have a lot of under eye detail. How toes is made on the feet can be a bit different. You can avoid this by not using details on the toes. Instead of trying to make shading between the toes. I see that some skin creators offer different fits, and I believe this is due to them taking time to draw shades and details on the toes. I do not mean nail details, you use no painted on nails, whatever way you take. The good thing is that all the heads and all the bodies have free demos, and that uploads on the Beta Grid is free. So you can work on your skins there. You do not need full priced bodies and heads. You do not need to make skin appliers. You understand them very correct. The reason skin appliers still sell well, is that a very large user group have only used appliers and think BOM is complicated. They are afraid to try new things. It did not use up the applier shells. Another thing, should you offer pubes on the skin or a tattoo? I would say, ether no pubes at all, or a tintable tattoo included with the skin. Offer at least one tattoo for push-up. Here you should use the chest part of the skin with the cleavage drawn on it, and not a general cleavage tint option, since a tinted cleavage often look dirty. I think you have the Materials slider activated and turned really high up. You will not see glossiness unless you have advanced lightning on, that is the reason your head suddenly look like polished. Copying from a tutorial: "Does your face look really shiny? Click the head icon in the Materials box so that it’s highlighted (old HUD: click ‘skin’ until it’s surrounded by a black circle), as in the image below, then click the ‘x’ under the slider beneath it, or drag the slider to the bottom." Are you in a hurry? If you have Firestorm, you can derender the Linden Home. Then you can go to the top line on the screen, select "Build - Options - Select only copyable objects". Then click and drag over the whole parcel, over all your items. It is best to do it when you are hovering over your parcel. You then take this huge batch back in your inventory. You have them as a coalesced object on top of your object folder. I make a folder, name it with the house type,, like "Winchester interior May 26" and move the coalesced object in there. No copy items are left back and easy to pick up. I use select only copyable items when I pick up smaller clusters too. When I deal with a huge, coalesced object, I go to a sandbox and rez it there. I have good time to select more objects and link, or take up smaller clusters if I want to have the same furniture combinations. Then I delete the furniture I do not want to bring over to the new home.

The bolded: You sell the body skin as a "skin" then, and the whole head or face as a tattoo layer. Some does not like that, because they can accidentally take off their face skin. We are talking about BOM, you can not take off an applied skin by accident. You have to add an applier and click it to replace a skin. With BOM, in appearance mode, your finger can slip and you take off the face/head tattoo, instead of the tattoo hairbase or another tattoo layer. It is up to you, but if you sell it like the bolded part, you should know. I am one of those who don't like this, but it is not a hard "no buy".

I don't quote @Orwar because it's a lot to quote, I will just refer the one word: "Eyelets". Yes, what the bleep bleep are designers thinking? 1024 textures on that? I never, ever zoom in so close on eyelets and admire the shading and detail, with normal and specular layers. And frankly, persons who think a 1024 texture on eyelets are a proof of "quality", need an intervention. Perhaps there is a customer base who zoom in close and examine the look of eyelets? 😳 It gives them a good warm feeling when the eyelets have a super detailed texture? And the texture options. I see eyelets and other details that are not visible unless zoomed in to the extreme, have so many variations in the HUD, like one really see the difference in "rose gold", "brass" and "gold" on eyelets. I could say the same for shoe laces with 1024's and even a separate 1024 for aglets. I remember reading a particular brand using 1024 on the aglets. I can not testify that it is true since the shoes were no modify. I did not know how to find out texture size, so perhaps I should not trust what others said. But it would not surprise me if someone really use these texture sizes on every single tiny detail.

Alts does not hurt people, try to scam people and harass others. People hurt people, scam them and harass others. Avoid those why try to do this to you, regardless if their account is 13 years old or 3 days old. Ban them if you have land, block them, and file an abuse report if they try to scam and harm you in ways that is against the TOS.

I suggest: Legacy perky for photos and self admiration at home when you are not lagged and just want to pose, and Maitreya when you are out in SL and want to move around and be seen by others. If you can afford Legacy, you can buy a Maitreya too. Many of the popular clothes/shoes seller include both body sizes when you purchase from them, so it is only the added cost of the Maitreya body. It is money to play with, it is up to you what you do with them.

I think the mermaid idea is fun, but too niche for a large part of users. Linden Lab aim for mainstream users with their homes. I think it is just a Patch idea, to make the picture more interesting. He also likes to make us speculate. No one speculates if this small boy (bear?) means a theme will be furry-related.
