You can have lots of looks with this avatar. Go from all kinds of colors and genders. Plus an animal like a cat or horse, or fantasy like elf, dragon etc. Some people have more than one account. They are individual accounts with different names and passwords. They are called alts - Additional accounts. Most people in SL have one or more. It can be for practical use like testing how a security system works, you install it in your house, turn it on and log in your alt and let him/her try to enter. Or it can be personal, like you have had a bitter argument and will be another persona a while. It is as many reasons as it is users, I think.

You will meet the description HUD in so many different products. It is short for Heads up Display and mean an scripted object that attach to your screen instead of an avatar. You can purchase clothes with a HUD that let you change the fabric/color. Jewelry that change the metal and gems. Hair with HUD both for the hair color, the attachment fabric (if the hair has a scarf or bow) and also style HUD if you will wear the hair over left shoulder, right shoulder or back. This is the advanced hairs. Simple unscripted hairs comes in a pack of colors like a blonde pack, where you take off and add so you can switch from peroxide blonde to sand blonde. Same for clothes and other things. Not everything is scripted. And for avatars: For heads, you can change skin, eyebrows, use built in makeup... and this is just the start. Advanced heads have so many controls, I can not list them. And if the head has an expression HUD, you can select moods or static poses. For bodies, the most common change is feet height, from flat via medium to tiptoe. Some bodies have more. And also to make parts of the body invisible. For adult bodyparts, there are change in stages and other things. Ehem. Demo and see. Some terms: Makeup HUD - let you wear other makeup than the default ones with a head. Nail/Manicure HUD - let you change polish on the nails the body has, or comes in addition to nails you buy. Alpha HUD - makes parts of the body invisible. Short description: A scripted object that attach to your screen, you click it to change the item you bought it with. It is found in the same folder.

If you do not delete gacha boxes after you unpacked them, but take them back to your inventory, you get empty boxes that are still named as the gacha price. They contain only the notecard, landmark and unpacker scripts. Many "take" the gacha box instead of "delete" it, because they are afraid when they get the warning, that they are about to delete a no-copy object. When you want to try on the price, it is very easy to select the empty gacha box, drag it to the ground and copy the contents to your inventory. The box will give you a folder with the copy items, but not the gacha item itself. Since it is the first time you have played a gacha, do a double search in your inventory. Things can happen, like the first folder that includes the gacha price can be named wrong. Or the gacha price goes in the objects folder. You successfully got one item, so I am not saying this has happened to you. Stores and creators make mistakes. I second what @Sassy Keninsays, go back to the store, check this is the creator and see how he/she will be contacted, by notecard or IM. The creator will then take out the boxes and inspect them, to see if they contain the prize.

Agree. And, this store has not started with the tacky practice to set weekend sale prices on each separate item. 😣 And Muniick has not started to do this! I hope they never do.

How can you still use the store credit? Demo first. Jeans are easy. You use the alpha cuts from the hips and down. Maitreya size fits the waist best, but try all the sizes. Shoes, ankle boots are easy too. Take off the feet. The free female body can use Legacy shoes. Long boots will be a problem. So demo before you spend a linden. Sweaters, wear Legacy size. They fit around the shoulders and the "front". You will need to alpha out the back. Wrists can be a problem. And clothes with a bare back and straps over the back will NOT fit. One of the best gifts for new residents is in Mina Hair mainstore. It is a suuuper cute hair with a wide strawhat. I would buy it, but I am too old.

I love this video!! I'm old and I would make a really boring video that wouldn't attract the 18 - 20 year olds. This is great... a young blogger with a lot of followers. Her voice is annoying to me because I am not used to it, but it is very much like other vbloggers that mave makeup tutorials and so on. Complaining about her voice or style is like going back in time and scream to your teenager to turn off that ugly bumpa-bumpa music. I stopped when she was done buying hair and went to the end. I did not see if she used the demo for clothes. For me, it was like she clicked buy this, but that, only based on the ads. She must really recommend demos! A 5000 L head, a body and 2 hairstyles is already about 10 000 L, half the money she started with. And get her to look at sales... I became a bit less exited in the end, because her SL face really looked snarky and not like her RL face at all. Tip her about Strawberry Singh's introduction videos, they were linked to earlier in this thread. So far, she is really not looking as good as she can. But it is her first video so the potential is great for more refined looks!

That was a nice compliment, that it looks like I am using Black Dragon. No, I am using Firestorm. BD is too hard for my computer. The other way would be using a poseball and rotate/move it. I can not remember how I posed here, with an animation or a poseball.

Could it be Pumec? They have lots and lots of gacha skins for Genus. If it is a rare skin, they have lighter eyebrow colors included.

I was playing with the thought of going Pro when I saw Flickr had increased the price to 60 US for a year. Seriously, that is a lot. Maybe I must pay VAT too. I should download all my pictures from before 2015, I think. I read some ways of doing it, unsure about what's best. I want them downloaded in the largest size of course... You who have come close to 1000 pictures, how did you do it? Because it is no way I am paying that much for Flickr Pro.

I like this. Pose, expression, softer colors. This head does not have teeth or tongue. I have read that you can use the teeth part from a Genus head for it. Maybe the "Strong" Genus head is still free in the store?

Are we talking about stopping eye movements in the Genus HUD or in Firestorm >avatar>preferences? I stopped it in Firestorm preferences. I did not have it on long, so it is possible it has tiny movements. But I have stopped to believe we all see the same all the times... Not in this case, but in other cases, I have done just as I have been told. And could not get the same result. Trying next day or next week, and it has behaved differently.

What you see is the house with Halloween decor and flowers outside, a sauna under the veranda I built (not pictured). 5 Li free after I added a chimney. It is enough to auto-attach the low li things from furniture. First image is the add-ons other side. It is also a coffee station but I could not take lots of pictures of every room. The big image in the music room is there because I have an outdoor sauna on the other side of the wall. So the blinds are drawn, and I think it is prettier with a picture than looking at blinds.

I see that I have the oposite issue, a fireplace but no chimney. Happy to say it's fixed now. I always think about that, can I fill the house with furniture? I have seen some big add-ons that leaves the original house empty. That is a bit pointless, since the function is to add more rooms, because there is a need for it. And also, to use the house differently. The first house I had in Bellisseria used the front room downstairs as a kitchen, the other room was a living room, upstairs divided with a bath insert. I think this bath was the first add-on made, along with pergolas and then came the real add-ons that was an attached room with roof and walls.

Disable random eye movement leads to the eyes staring fixed forward. It is a terrible "fix it".

I very rarely save looks/outfits. Much of this is because we get body/head updates all the time. I can in theory swap the bodies and heads in outfit folders, but the thought makes me ill. Too much work... this is why my inventories look like a bomb has exploded there. Every time I think I will organize it, I get tired before I am halfway through.

Taking pictures of myself takes so much time. I try to make it as close as possible in SL to avoid long postprosessing. I had to do something with the shoulder here, since it is a hopeless break. But I could have done something with the knee, added a shadow there so it's resting better on the floor. Lightned the very dark shadow on the elbow. But it is so tedious.
