The Non Linden Home Picture Thread - Mainland Only
Marianne Little replied to Ingrid Ingersoll's topic in Mainland
The angle helps, it is a not so pretty home to the left outside the picture. I sound like a ***** when I say that, to each their own and when they like it, it's all well. But it's a 4096 corner lot! So easy to just ignore the neighbors. -
And a skin made for Catwa worked well on the male LOGO head, I tested with Stray Dog's Rickard on a male alt. See it here: https://community.secondlife.com/forums/topic/454372-rawr-creativity-show-your-raw-selfies/?do=findComment&comment=2207630Let me try to remember the customization HUD. LOGO does it so different from others. The customization HUD comes empty, but it is another box symbol with a few basic items for customization. You must attach both so you see them on your screen and click that other box. The customization HUD is then loaded with those options. You can now use it. But it isn't much. The 299 L offer for skins is a good deal. You can attach and load the HUD with them, but if you do, the head is not BoM anymore. You must use the BoM skins instead. But demo... lol.

Major differences of available body types
Marianne Little replied to Candy Tangerine's topic in Your Avatar
Cool, so maybe someone can make human feet for the body too. But I think there would not be many buyers. The female body market is so filled up and not many cares about triangles. -
Really glad I took that skybox and not the "kitchen" or a house on the ground. If I had not practice from decorating on a modest Li budget as in Belliseria, this would be hard to fill and get the "cozy" look. My rental box say 5 over limit, but when it's updating I should be down to 49.

What I don't understand with the Regalia body, is: It is only paws. I get it, humans are not worthy. But what do furries who like Regalia do if they want different feet, like bird feet, hooves, dragon feet etc.? I mean; it is a big and versatile group of people, and all they get is paws? Does this not contradict "High modability"? -
🎄 Speed decorating?

Waoow, me too! Got the same type skybox. I could not see a way to find out what was what of them before I paid.

Next theme teaser (after the stilts!)
Marianne Little replied to Claire Atheria's topic in Linden Homes
@Raspberry Crystalin RL there is often a mix of styles. I live in a 1956 built house, to my left is the 1910 house that sold half of their parcel to be the plot for this house, to my right a house that has to be older, down the street more old houses that has split their large gardens... 1980's houses in the 80's style and 2019 houses in modern style. As long as a new theme fit in the same footprint as the previous styles I think it will be fine. -

Sooner or later Maitreya should adress the shoulder issues. There could be a "deformer" back to the original body so both old and new stuff can be worn. It is deformers everywhere. I have to admit, I am not seeing anything wrong with them. I don't do many pictures of my avatar now, so I do not study it well. But I wonder if the shoulders are a problem for the customer mass, or is it a few on the forum that brings it up? I don't think Maitreya will loose designer support. They are early out with new things and adapt well. The new bodies is perfect to use for me, while Slink went too far and Belleza is sleeping in some attic. That brand is really slow with updates. But it is something about Legacy. That brand has mad skills, for advertising and to get stuff created for them. You should think they had some sort of magic. I see in clothing packs, several more designers include Legacy Perky, than Maitreya Petite. And I can't remember seeing stuff for the smallchested Slink. -

The costumes are because of Halloween, I doubt they have anything to do with the theme. I still wait for modern houses with big windows, so... moderately exited. -
RAWr Creativity! Show your raw self(ies)!
Marianne Little replied to Seicher Rae's topic in Your Avatar
Strawberry Singh windlight, no editing besides cropping and a frame, bc I think his dignified look deserves a frame. My alt took the LOGO offer of a 1 L head. And sneaky as I am, I had bought him the Rickard head skin from Stray Dog many weeks ago as a 60 L weekend offer. I think the Catwa skin sit well on this head. (BoM) Maybe he get a body skin too, but for now is a neck fader to a freebie body skin.. Sometimes it is questions about older avatars that does not look 100 year old. This avatar look more 50 - 60 to me. Izzie's wrinkles makes the Rikard skin older, but straight from the box it isn't a twenty something either. Edit: Added one more in No Light + projectors. It show the skin tone better as it appear in SL.- 864 replies

I think it is the alpha too. Because you do still have hands, right? -
When did you last see a Bellessarian home available?
Marianne Little replied to Nika Talaj's topic in Linden Homes
I got some ppl interested. I will let it go some time during the next hour. Will message those who asked. Trying to make it fair. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Released and gone. I am no longer a Bellisserian. 😑 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And the alt is downgraded to Basic. It has been fun. I am probably back in GoH when the Stilts are released. 😉 -

Marianne Little replied to Nika Talaj's topic in Linden Homes
I have to show that I'm ready to downgrade more alts to basic... hoping LL will give us more prims to play with in the future, then they are back to premium again. At the most I had 6 premiums. I like the place a lot, but not enough to pay for it, since I am not there anymore. -

I am ready to abandon this: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Kahuna/209/220/23 If you want you can send me a PM and we discuss the exact time. Do not message my alt who's standing on a prim up in the sky. I will not look at her until I release it. -
It is one of the few things I am sad about with Lelutka Evo. It does not play well with others. I have found myself increasingly angry (too strongly worded?) that the makeup I find is HD only and not layers. Maybe it is because creators must work more with its shape? Genus almost always includes BoM in their makeup sets. When I try a Genus BoM layer on Evo it does not look right. I was so happy that I finally found a set of eyeliners and eyemakeup on layers made for Lelutka Evo. I like hair that's not pulled back from the face but hanging down on the side. I also like bangs. And HD makeup along with hair is hopeless. I will not change the hair from alpha blending, because the hair looks lumpy. But BoM eyemakeup is always looking right. It also helps to hide if the lashes disappear, since a dark eyeliner on BoM is a good base color. Masking on lashes also makes them look bad...

Oh yes, and that is actually very smart, since you can buy unattractive land cheap and have your own paradise in the sky.😉 I second that you should be considerate and move your sky platform so high that neighbors don't see it. Low floating sky boxes are so sad to look at from the ground.

Oh, I don't think he will be back. He sent me a personal message to compliment me and asked if I looked like my avatar in RL. After I told him I did not, in age or appearance, he has not posted here anymore. 🤣 I must have scared him away from his dream about earning big money in a virtual world where we look like 20 something models in RL too. Sorry if I offend you who actually are 20 something models.

Yep yep, but a head is a big investment and then the skin. So for someone who has a Genus, it is often Genus they have to use... until the funds allow a change. So Steffi Vilota who owns Deetalez has this info on her blog: https://deetalez.com/faq-find-help-here/ She can even make BoM on request, but not for very old skins. And the latest for Genus is in Uber. I was hoping it had a BoM symbol on it, or a BoM layers made on request for free... Why so little information on the vendor? But trying on a demo should tell, if it is a layer in the demo it is ok for BoM. I can't tell if it Asian enough, but it is some skins in her store that looks Asian to me.
-
I knew you had some suggestions. I was thinking about Ryn too, but it is made for Lelutka Evo and will be wrong for a Genus head.
-
She must find a BoM skin she likes first. I do not use any Asian skin besides an alt, that has a Mudskin from a gacha. I do not plan to change the alt's look, so I am a bad source of information. I know many use Genus here in this forum, but it's the wrong time for them to be awake. Maybe the title should be changed to "I need a light Chinese/Japanese/Korean BoM skin for Genus". I have read posts here about the differences between regions in Asia, but I did not really pay attention, ignorant as I am. :( So we need them to answer here, then I think it's fixed. I do not remember other posters that @Pussycat Catnapfrom the discussions.
