  1. The projected light makes a pattern, if I had angled it different it would have been visible in the desaturated one. So that is something to think about for next time... I bought ballet shoes for Maitreya as soon as I saw them. Really happy that Maitreya has it now. The only thing I miss is the ability to adjust the feet individually - one pointed, one flat.
  2. Question: Which image do you prefer? The one where I keep the colors intact, or the desaturated one? And why do you prefer the one over the other? I took so many pictures, it is hard to decide what I like best.
  3. It is strange, to see homes be released in the regions I have obsessed over not a long time ago. So familiar names.
  4. If I remember right, did not LL load up a whole load of regions - both Victorians, and later Log Homes, and let them be released automatic? The Victorians and later Log Homes, lasted for a week(?) for Victorians and two weeks (?) for Log Homes? I am sure that the process did not release whole regions at once. It was time to watch some houses be taken, and then the rest of the region filled up slowly. More slowly than when Whitney Linden released one. With a manual release it is bam! All taken. So one region or two was tested, and then the rest run automatic. Edit: My wild guess is that the release starts Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend. Or Tuesday.
  5. Wow, I found Luna Jubilee's Flickr albums. Apparently she did 2 years. Some of the names of the colors... I know grey, but "Shuttle Grey" is apparently "Very unsaturated dark cold blue". And "St. Patrick's Blue". So it was not green from the start, as we think about modern St. Patricks day.๐Ÿ˜ From her photos, I seem to have misunderstood the challenge. She (Luna) is not using it from top to toe. I thought it should be as much of the color as we could find. So just add an accent detail, @Orwar, it is perfectly ok from the original challenge. ๐Ÿ˜Š https://www.flickr.com/photos/lunajubilee/albums/72157625325278432 https://www.flickr.com/photos/lunajubilee/albums/72157628658344891
  6. Congratulations, are you not the first non-Linden to have your topic moved here? I think it will get more interest here than in General Discussion!
  7. I was wondering, is this thread read - in this part of the forum? Maybe @Chic Aeonshould request it moved to Your Avatar? And it should be men posting here too... How about all black, and a cummerbund with the color, Orwar?
  8. Boo, @Orwar, can't your pretty alt wear a bit of color? Are you waiting for blood red perhaps? ๐Ÿ˜‹ I am going mad, staring at the colors. Too red? Too light? I have only touched exposure and sharpened it a bit. Maybe I did it too light, the color is a tiny bit more saturated inworld. I am not a purple person. Saved by a fatpack and some items that could be tinted. I was really surprised to find matching makeup, maybe it was in one of the weekend purchases I make.

  10. I would have had this framed on the wall. It is art, plain and simple.
  11. Wow, and their hands actually meet in most of the positions! This height difference must be perfect, along with arm length. I never see couples dance so good in SL.
  12. Just want to add... there is no quality control from Linden Lab. People can sell items that is poorly made and that is why we have demos. If the clothes you will buy does not have a demo, you risk buying things that's not worth the money. If there is a demo "buy" it for 0 or 1 L. Demos have the word "Demo" over your head or printed on the fabric. If you can not make the demo fit, you can not make the full priced clothes fit. This goes most of the things you add to your avatar. Skin, mesh body parts, mesh heads, hair, clothes and shoes, just to mention some. If there is no demo, the seller does not want you to try the things before you buy it. This is a warning sign. Only "buy" free stuff or 1L stuff, things you can afford to trash if it is rubbish. Oh, and welcome to Second Life! I see you have an older Linden home. If you will try a to get a new one, they come up by and by.
  13. The top look like it fits, am I right? Besides, it is not a mesh body, is it? If you are in doubt of what you are wearing, go to the "t-shirt" icon and click it to get up outfits. Click what you are wearing now. If you take a picture with the list open, and "Show interface" we can see it. If it is too small to read, try to write it down. If the problem is only the skirt, look for a texture named something with "alpha" in the folder and add it. This makes the body under the skirt invisible.
  14. I will see when I have time to post full credits. The fireplace backside who is hiding the sideroom is not mesh. You can do it inworld assuming you can texture and follow instructions. I should save this recipe... I never remember the steps. Scroll down to 3 faces display panel and follow the steps. https://ayumicassini.blogspot.com/2009/07/ultimate-guide-to-prim-twisting.html Now you have a prim with 3 faces. You need a library texture, texture the two side faces with it and adjust until it look convincing. Find panel, brick or some other texture for the middle. To make a better illusion, create 3 thin prims, texture them with wood and place 2 vertical as "bookcase sides" and one as floor trim. Set the wood strips to convex hull and link your 3-faced prim with them = 2 Li. I used AG creation library textures and Empire textures brick & concrete wall. The brown wood took I from a Linden home texture pack, I think it was log houses. A more toned down styling with only evergreen and eggnog to hint it is Christmas. I love the tiny houses from Hideki (1 li!) and the bird houses, 1 li each so much that I had to take closeups. The birdhouses is a gift from the Belle Epoque birthday hunt, I think they are from Kraftwork. And several other birdhouses included, I just picked two. https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Wild Willows/191/126/11 Things got finished up in a hurry here...
  15. Oh, I understand that you are busy! You could do as I have done (and Chic and several others) and grab a small house or skybox and decorate it instead. I had bought the main Hive skybox already when it came out... several years ago. So I have left the snow land.
  16. I am using this in the sky over my Mainland. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ValArt-Skybox-Big-eyes-GIFT/18754058 I have left the Christmas skyboxes so others can use them. Besides, it is fun to show new 50 Li styles in other small builds than the ones in the winter village.
  17. The weekend sales has become my kryptonite. ๐Ÿ˜ณ There is always hope for Black Friday... and Christmas sales. Speaking of Black Friday, a friend told me about this: We can buy a gift card and use it for our self....
  18. Oh, my god!! That store goes in my "blacklist". What a trick, I really believed it was a set with color change options, that would be awesome.
  19. Thank you for clearing that up. Ariana is really a popular name. I saw a title for a skin that tricked me - DeeTaleZ DEMO *Appliers* CATWA Head "Ariana" - and mistook "Ariana" for the head name, while I guess it is the skin's name.
  20. The table to the left looks very much like this Happy Weekend offer by another store. They have probably used a model. For 60 L I am getting this too. Photostream here: Lots of good offers this weekend. My inventory grows....
  21. I simply adore this for the Happy Weekend sale: The two purchases will fit together like milk and cookies.
  22. So how much clothes can you buy? How many stores is offering Kupra sizes? I thought the breasts on the small breast version was adorable, but I fear it will not be made any clothes for it, since those who like Kupra, will buy the big boob version. (I would buy your outfit and wear it on Maitreya, is it a mainstream store or a special Kupra store?) And what do you do with AO's? It is already so many animations that put hands in hips, even on a slimmer size of the other bodies. Ps, SUPER cute hair. Where is it from?
  23. The skybox in itself is so good, the downlights is built in. I think it is in my top 10 list of skyboxes I have, and number one of free/1 L skyboxes. โค๏ธ It would have been even better with a surround, but I fixed that myself by linking one off another skybox.
  24. LL does not take much compared to VAT. But at the moment, VAT is not applied to buying ยงL. VAT has effectively killed the point of having Premium, and also paying tier directly to LL for me. It is literally a fifth increase on both. Renting is cheaper now - from the right rental. I have found one who is a very low priced, compared to others. On the other side, maybe PayPal would start to take VAT, if EU demand they apply it on spent money. I don't know the rules. My country is not a member of EU, but have to pay VAT since May. ๐Ÿ˜ก It only goes to lining pockets of bureaucrats ๐Ÿ’ฉ in EU... Driving in their limousines and flying private jets. ๐Ÿคฌ
