Thank you for the heads up, Arielle! -
What time SL time is the Welcome Hub the busiest? I tend to be a night owl and keep missing the crowd.

Women's expectations: Unrealistic
blissfulbreeze replied to Paul Hexem's topic in General Discussion Forum
I think we need to do a SL survey in world. Women and men go to different sims and try to strike up a convo, see if the convo is steered towards an insulting or sexual nature. Mark it down. Compare results. One of the big issues though is a lot of men come to SL for sex, or voice sex or a sl/rl blended relationship that includes sex. There are exceptions but I can pretty much bet that the majority of males are here for sex. Those males then pressure women about it, and if they happen to come upon a female that engages in a conversation with them, some males will think, oooh hook, line and sinker. However, the female is just being nice and likes conversation. A lot of men have told me that they think if a woman pays attention to them, then she is interested in them. What about women that just want to have a friendly conversation? The male will get mad if he puts in energy and time into a conversation and then the women rejects his advances. THIS is a huge problem in SL. Men think that they can seduce a woman if he spends enough time on her. Yes, there are some women in SL who use men, are horrible rude and insulting, and think they are above people. THIS is a huge problem as well. Also, some women will think that if a man has a long convo with her, that he is interested in her, in a romantic way. Both sides are putting expectations and pressure on the other. The rest of us, the nice ones, the ones who come to SL for social reasons, for events, and such.. we suffer the most. We are the minority. However, we can't change SL.. it has been this way for years. So, what do we do? I think we may have to cut down our time on SL and find other ways to be social because this problem has gone on forever and no solution to it. -
Women's expectations: Unrealistic
blissfulbreeze replied to Paul Hexem's topic in General Discussion Forum
Most have an image in our mind of who we want in SL, our checklist. We say that looks really won't matter but then when we meet an avatar face to face, we find them unattractive and pretty much write them off. The thing is to give it some time... but most won't. We make picket signs and say give me a decent man/woman that is not vain/materialistic/a liar etc then we meet them and we find them boring. The exciting ones are the bad boys/girls. Human nature likes risks and excitement. I've been with bad boys and yes it was exciting. I've also had great conversations with the simple men who were intellectual. I gave it time and we were like two peas in a pod. After awhile, you get bored and sick of the bad boys/girls, there is not much substance. It all depends on which phase we are in, are we looking for excitement or depth? So, it can be variable. This week's bad girl who wants a bad guy, may want a good guy next year and vice versa for men. When I am roaming around looking for good conversation, I run into drooling men who IM the women the same things, hoping one would respond .The timing sucks. Timing and phases. We need hangouts for those who want depth, yet people don't seem to go when they do exist because that night they want excitement. -
Does anyone else notice this on the Legacy body..? Or is it just me?

How did you solve it? Animations/posing cause? -
Gahhhh, I missed all the excitement! I've been away from SL and logged into the forums to see this thread. I realize NUX avs are not officially released. I did browse through some of the recent pages. I agree with Patch on this is a focus for new people, not us oldbies. We can't look at it from a 100% oldbie perspective. We have to look at it as brand spanking new thing that one joined called Second Life. Sl is hard enough to learn as it is, let the newbies have easy things! Just like in other business marketing, they lure you in with freebies and such. Then once you become familiar with the product/company, then you start upgrading/investing. An upgrade from the awful default hands and feet are a gem of their own! Think positive! *ducks from the tomatoes being thrown*

There are many dance troupes/groups that may have a curtsy animation. Here is the site to get a hold of some. https://sldancequeens.blogspot.com/

So, the SL market is getting more and more geared towards those under 35, even under 30. For the ones who do not wish to wear barely there clothes, go to "pick up" clubs, etc.. I'd like to see some recommendations of clothing stores, clubs, communities and such for those who wish to look like a mature adult and act like one. Of course that is subjective lol.. but you know what I am talking about. I'd like to recommend the Destination Guide, yes, most of us already know about it, but we forget about it! So, just bringing it to the forefront of our minds. Lately, I have been exploring sims from there and love it. You can see the rating right at your fingertips and a snapshot of a sim, with some details. https://secondlife.com/destinations For clothing, I do feel that Coco has some mature women clothing. I know there are more but my brain is foggy at the moment. Help! Clubs and sims for mature adults, (without sexual themes)...Fogbound Blues.. tell me more, please! Communities: Help!

Family Nudism Locations on SL
blissfulbreeze replied to Eternal Lennie's topic in General Discussion Forum
Open up your World map, type in the sim name, click Find, it will show you the place..if there is a sim next to it, double click that area.. then you can open up your Nearby tab and see the list of people in that sim... most are probably bots -
****SOLVED- I found it out, from Tilia to PayPal is 5%, minimum US $3 Update, Paypal is set up and confirmed, I also am fully verified with Tilia. So, just was wondering now if there are fees to go from Tilia to Paypal. I know when I sell the $L that I will have to pay 3.50% fee, but is there a fee from Tilia to Paypal? Hi, I have never taken money out of SL or sold Lindens, however I bought Lindens and gave them away in the past. I have accumulated some that I wish to be sold, then processed into Tilia and sent to my Paypal acct. For those who do this, can you give me the steps, please? I know that I have to provide my driver's license and social security number, I did read the list of things needed. I was wondering though, when should I input my PayPal info into SL? Does it take a certain amount of time for it to be set before I can start the process? I know there is a fee to sell Lindens, but can't find if there is a fee for processing into Tilia then sending to Paypal? Thanks so much in advance! P.S. I did not earn these Lindens, they are from when I was buying them, to which I don't need right now.

PBR Materials @SL University
blissfulbreeze replied to Arielle Popstar's topic in General Discussion Forum
Thank you for the input and advice! I was not going to quit before I tried to see if I swim or drown with the PBR stuff lol. I may have to give up Firestorm and use a less heavy viewer, will see how it goes. I'll try the Project Viewer as well. -

Thank you. I'll probably have to quit SL. No biggie. I've lost interest the past 4 months or so. Will see how it goes. -
PBR Materials @SL University
blissfulbreeze replied to Arielle Popstar's topic in General Discussion Forum
I have been away from SL and the forums for a few months. I have a question, when I used SL, I used low graphics, no advanced lighting and such. My draw distance was usually 72 or less. I was okay with this because I mostly focused on the person I was with and not the surrounding environment. However, if I went sightseeing then I'd raise my draw distance and the graphics, but not too much. The reason for my lag is probably due to my wifi. I am not able to hard connect due to the box is upstairs and the pc is downstairs. So, with this PBR stuff, in layman's terms.. will I be able to use SL without advanced lighting and higher settings? Thanks in advance! -
oops, wrong thread LOL

Ugh, so sad. She did a lot for new people and others who couldn't afford much. I would visit her sim every so often. She provided a wonderful place. -

Spam Groups for Breedables

You were wrong in trying to explain what you were venting about. The difference is that Polenth said spam bots NOT spam groups. You kept saying "spam groups" in error and expected us to see "spam bots". -
