I used to hate tongue to roof smack. Now I do it, I just started recently, no idea why. I can not prevent it LOL.. now I am one of THOSE people. My peeves: Winter. Shoveling. Icy conditions. Struggling in snow and bitter cold.

Like others have said and will say.. take a break. No need to delete an account (not saying that you said that), but others may think this way. Maybe in days, weeks, months or more, you may feel like logging in again. There is no deadline, well until the day before it closes down, whenever that is. Second life is just one hobby. Do some other ones for now.

If someone is repeatedly rude or harassing to me, then I'll just ask them all kinds of weird questions. I'll talk nonsense and they'll get so irritated that they start avoiding me lol.

Just hit me in the head..I remember something here in SL. It's closed now but I think it was a jazz or blues place. You can dance with a npc. I think it was called Bray's? Or maybe it was animesh, due to what Ariell said about the code.

Some demos there I've seen a npc drop down from the sky with the demo on. Then It poofs in time. I think I saw one of the dance npc. I'll have to check again. Do you remember which grid?

I have to teach and learn the process, throwing in the reasons behind it as well. I've dealt with some people who just want to go ahead and not wait for me to finish instructions. They'll start clicking things, mess it all up then say help! I'll give them a second chance. The next time they click and mess up, am gone. Lol

This happened to me last night and today. Super laggy then froze up. Had to Ctrl alt delete and force Firestorm to close. I have not tried the Linden viewer.

If someone is helping you update or fix your avatar, do you prefer to walk through it with explanations or just want a quick fix and don't care about the in depth stuff? Just wondering.

Yes, I do not see my friend's house or deck when I visit her until a few minutes later. I've noticed very slow loading the past couple months in quite a few sims and clubs.

You're not the norm though. I am not saying ALL are 40+.

Here is the thing though, a huge percentage of SL users are aged 40+ and do not use/have gaming computers or computers that can handle ALM all the time. So, yeah SL is getting with the times but their market is not interested if it causes issues with being on SL. SL is not trendy in gaming, it's considered old. However, many people love it the way that it is, with the option of keeping ALM off. They're going to shoot themselves in the foot again, just like with Sansar. They were hoping SL users will cross over and also bring in new ones, never happened. With not having the option of ALM off in any available viewer for SL will kill SL.

I am not able to find info on when this Linden PBR viewer will come out? Also, do you know if Firestorm plans to follow suit?

That graphic is very hard to read due to the font and colors.

Crowded does not always mean good. A lot of busy places there is rarely local chat talk. It's good for people watching but most ignore people or are afk. Off the top of my head, Muddy's has local chat going a lot. I like to look for events that encourage chatting in local. I like to hop around places in the Destination guide and look at people's picks in their profiles.

I did not read all the posts. Does SL plan on still making the viewer ALM only? Has Firestorm remarked on it?

Yes LOL.. I meant ALM, I was pecking on my phone and it probably auto-corrected. Are you saying that the default will be ALM mode and no way to get out of it? Oof. May have to say RIP to my SL then and find another virtual world. Thanks for the tips on the graphics, I am not techie. I do know that NVIDIA is the best and the version has to be paid attention to as well. Welp, if SL forces ALM then I may not even buy a laptop. I was going to buy to be more mobile when on SL. Sighs. Also, the thing with SeraphimSL site, it is mostly focused on shopping. There are some hunts there too and a few other things but not really outside the scope of shopping.

There is an explorer backpack that TPs one to random places, not shopping focused though. It is old but still fun. They should revise that and make it have different categories. I have seen Open Sim grids with a TP hud with different catergories.
