  1. Just out of curiosity, which mesh body do you wear? and in what way did it not end up fitting correctly? Sometimes you need to use the mesh body alpha cuts (or wear alphas if your body doesn't have alpha cut functionality).
  2. I've gotten more familiar with the idea of experiences, so I am likely to accept it, if it is from a store or venue that I have some familiarity with, or at a location where I feel comfortable with what I know about the owner. A sign indicating that an experience is suggested or needed for auto TP's, or a sign stating click to receive a NC about the experience is helpful - I do like to have some information about why accepting the experience is a good idea.
  3. I was remembering incorrectly. The regular premium bonus is just 1000 bonus. Sorry for the misinformation - I should have looked it up first.
  4. What surprises me is how quick people are to jump to the worst conclusion, both for what the consequences of the request might be, and also on the intent of the request. It's good to look at situations in their own context, and perhaps allow some different or new perspectives to take shape. The context for the situation in the OP request had nothing to do with changing posts to retract things that had been said, or making an error, or regret about what they posted, or being too hasty. Even if a thread has gone multi-pages and people don't want to read through all of the pages, I've found that at least reading the OP and perhaps the first page of responses can really be helpful as to what the post initially started out to be about, before everyone jumps in with the worst conclusions, sometimes turning the thread into an issue that was not the original problem to begin with.
  5. 45 days, similar to the $1500 bonus you get after 45 consecutive days of being premium the first time you go premium.
  6. Unless you have that page of who's online up all the time, and are checking it every few minutes, I don't think that gives an accurate indication of how many people have been reading a particular thread (or threads in a particular section of the forum). I tend to read through most of the threads from most of the forum sections via the 'unread content' function.
  7. I've been using the Linden viewer the last couple of months, and @Qie Niangao is correct that there is not a confirmation dialog when deleting an inventory item with links. Prior to the last couple of months, I was using Kokua viewer, and that must have been the viewer I was using when I remembered seeing the confirmation dialogs.
  8. I had wondered the same thing, if there was some type of proration of the bonus amount occurring. Contact Live Chat and let them know. When I did that earlier today they acknowledged some of the bonus amounts were incorrect and they added the additional amount to my account right away, during the Live Chat conversation.
  9. I agree with @Aethelwine that for certain types of posts - such as the one she referenced as an example - it would be beneficial to be able to add on to an existing post past the 24-hour limit for editing. For posts that are an informational list of entries I can see the benefit of having all the items in the same post as opposed to needing to create a new post further down in the thread with additional entries when those entries would be best grouped with entries in an earlier post. For those Forumites who feel obliged to quote someone's post when responding to it in case of later edits, you can continue to do so - just like you currently are doing.
  10. I suppose that's the "if you delete this item, it's links will permanently stop working" bit. I do think it's best for the system to delete the links when the item gets deleted rather than leave broken links in the inventory. I was pretty sure that I saw warnings when trying to delete something that had links. I was going to experiment when I got in-world, but then I got distracted and forgot, so I'm glad you posted the warning messages.
  11. I don't normally get emails about the houses, but I do get emails about premium sign ups, and I did get an email after upgrading to premium plus though it was a couple of days after the upgrade.
  12. On your web dashboard, click on "Manage" under "Linden Exchange" and then click on "Sell L$" That brings up the form for selling linden dollars. I would suggest doing a market sell until you fully understand how the linden exchange works.
  13. You sell them through the Lindex on your account dashboard - that is the only legal way to sell them.
  14. Are you sure the others aren't selling their linden $'s first? The only way one can get a USD balance on their account is by selling linden $'s. They may just do it automatically and didn't think about mentioning it when talking about the cashing out part. This is referring to the proceeds from your Linden Dollar sales - so you need to sell your Linden Dollars first.
  15. You would need to sell your linden $'s every time you want to do a process credit to send your USD balance to your paypal account. If your USD balance is $0.00 (because you haven't sold any linden $'s) then it's true that there is not enough funds.
  16. You can't cash out (process credit) unless you first sell your linden dollars (that's what turns them into USD, which is what you need for doing a process credit). There are fees involved with both steps of the process, so I would suggest not doing it unless you have reason other than just wanting to test the process. You might want to take a look at the Account Balance knowledge base article which covers what is required and has some links to related articles:
  17. After you sign up for premium plus, you should receive an email from LL, and the support phone number is in that email.
  18. If they started working again on their own, I wonder if it was a connection or resource issue. If you're using Firestorm viewer you might want to consider Tarik's suggestion about contacting their in-world support group to see if they might have some suggestions or to see if they've heard of others having similar issues. I haven't heard of similar issues being reported by others here in the forum recently. If the 6.6.3.573882 update you're referring to is a version of the official LL viewer, that wouldn't be relevant to your problem if you weren't using that viewer (and as Tarik mentioned above, a viewer update should not prevent HUD scripts from running). And if you are using LL's 6.6.3.573882 I would suggest downloading and installing 6.6.2.573358 which is the current default LL viewer. (6.6.3.573882 is a pre-release version that is made available for people who choose to download it to do some testing before it's made the default version).
  19. This would not appeal to me at all. If I had to leave the new program to go back to the "SL editor" everytime I wanted to change my look or change furnishings or change landscaping and then re-upload and go back to the new program, I would quickly tire of that and probably decide to just forget the whole thing.
  20. The last recent update of what? (viewer? and if so which viewer?) Is it all your HUD's that you normally use that are no longer responding? Are you in an area that allows scripts or where the HUD's worked previously? What type of HUD's are these? Have you tried using a new copy of the HUD? (either unpacking it from it's original box, if you kept it, or getting a redelivery of the item).
  21. Strawberry does do a "Highlights from the Second Life Destinations Guide" Featured News blog periodically (often weekly?). At the bottom of each of those blog posts, is: I subscribe to the Featured News blog posts, so I get these in my emails, but if people don't subscribe, the recent blog post links are displayed on the web dashboard and on the splash screen for the SL viewer (and other TPV's which use the same style splash screen). I think this is not a case so much of LL not making information available, but users who choose to not get any emails from LL (or don't read them if they do receive them), don't follow any of the communication channels that LL uses to provide information to the users, don't want to see that type of information on the viewer splash screen, don't ever look at their web dashboard...
  22. When I want to use something other than the region default for where I'm at I use either "Phototools- Dream Book Light" or "Whirly Gloomy Day". Neither of those are purchased, but I found them in the Inventory's Library->Environments->Skies folder and Library->Environments->Skies-Phototools folder. I think I may have had to copy them from Library folder and paste them into my Inventory Settings folder.
  23. Platypus can be tricky - in Phineas and Ferb as soon as someone asks "Where's Perry?" (the platypus) it turns out Perry is off on an espionage mission. I think this fits the GD Forum - when you call (view) it you never know where it's gone since the last time you saw it, in terms of threads that it nows deems important.
