  1. I don't have a clear yes or no answer for this. When the Redux (BOM) version came out, there was an option to get the body with feet and hands attached if you owned a majority of the foot shapes. In terms of what's being sold in the store, right now, or what is included in the redelivery, I'm not sure if they are separate or if there's an option to buy them all together. I don't remember what the number of feet you needed in order to get everything attached was but checking in the Slink group with the CSR might be a good idea.
  2. There is a longer-than-normal length in the middle section of the fingers on Slink, but it's only noticeable in some hand poses, so it doesn't bother me too much. Tonic Fine may also have that issue with fingers, but it's been a while since I've worn Tonic. I suppose Lara's hands are better in that aspect. Regarding feet, though, I do like the Slink feet best. I've had Slink hands and feet much longer than I've had any of the mesh bodies, so I just feel really comfortable with them.
  3. I can't comment on any of the technical stuff or the decision-making capabilities of LL, but as an average user who has been using the SL viewer again since the performance viewer version was released, I like the look of the new profiles. I feel it's definitely an improvement over the web version of the profile that had been used in the SL viewer, and in my opinion, an improvement over the legacy profiles in the third-party viewers.
  4. I like to have a slender body shape, also. I have tried a demo of Legacy and of Slink Hourglass but wasn't able to get a shape I liked from them. I have Lara, Tonic Fine and Slink Physique Original - of the 3 I like Slink the best and it is the one I wear most often. While it's not common to find clothes for the original Slink at events, there are a few times when I'm surprised and find something I like that comes with both Maitreya and Slink at an event. I have found stores where I like the clothing styles which include Slink Original and Maitreya (and sometimes even Tonic Fine), so I don't really feel limited in my choices for buying clothes, but I am also not one who is out buying clothes every weekend or every event. I do like some of the Tonic made clothes for Tonic Fine, but I'm not as happy with the shape of the legs on Tonic, so that is why I don't wear it as frequently as I wear Slink. Every so often I get Lara out and give it another try, but after a few days I usually end up back using Slink - it just seems like a better fit for me. If I come across some outfit that I really, really like, and it only comes with Maitreya, I may buy it, but it would have to be something that really catches my attention.
  5. I don't know the solution, but a couple of things came to mind to double check: When you said you completely deleted and reinstalled the viewer, did you do the full clean install as outlined at fs_clean_install [Phoenix Firestorm Project - Wiki] (firestormviewer.org)? Did you try a different viewer than Firestorm, to make sure it is just a problem with your FS files/settings?
  6. Interesting! I would have thought that the inventory Library contents would be the same no matter which viewer is being used...
  7. I do very little social media stuff in RL to begin with, and the little that I do on FB is mainly all just family with a few close longtime friends. So, I don't share any RL social media with anyone in SL. I don't see any reason to do so, and I don't see any reason to have additional social media accounts as my avatar.
  8. The Fantasy home region is wonderful. I remember when it first opened and I boated over to it - that was an amazing experience. When I have thought about getting a house there again, I found that it was hard to get one along a waterway - at least on the days I was trying. It is a limited land area also. It may have limited availability also. It seems like the last time I was trying, I kept getting the same 2 choices.
  9. I would say Houseboat, Victorian and the Stilts that on/over water, are the most popular themes, based on those are often the types that are hard to find on the land page. Those are also the ones that they tend to add at later times, as well (when they were building the new area for Log Cabins, some more Vics were added along one side of the coast, new areas of additional Houseboats and Stilt homes are still being added). Perhaps Traditional, also. It seems like traditional is the one theme that after they finished with the initial build out of the Trads, they haven't added any new regions when regions were added later for other themes.
  10. "Nam's Optimal Skin and Prim" can be found in the Inventory->Library->Environments->Skies->Nam folder. It can be copied and pasted into the Inventory->Settings folder, so that it's easier to find. Also, there should be a "My Environments" button on the viewer toolbar which will allow you to quickly and easily apply a sky setting from your Inventory->Settings folder.
  11. For the image previews in the activity feed list, if you change it to "condensed" instead of "expanded", it will not show the image previews in the feed list.
  12. If you're interested in a Mainland 1024 sqm parcel, yes, you will need to pay to purchase the parcel, but after the initial purchase you won't have to pay any ongoing charge for the parcel as long as you don't own more than a 1024 sqm Mainland parcel. For more information about buying land:
  13. To get one of the Linden Homes, from your web dashboard click on the "Get Your Home Now" button on the upper right side of the screen. Also see the Knowledge Base article below for additional information about Linden Homes:
  14. I don't know what it stands for either, but every time I see it, I read it as "peanut butter". Not sure I'd want peanut butter gumming up the textures. 🙃
  15. I'm curious to see what the 2048 LH's will be like. I like the idea of ranch style as long as the house is not too large (no larger than a house that would fit on a 1024) so that there is a lot of open space still on the parcel - perhaps for a few big oak trees and a few horses Though, they'd have to be really, really, really nice for me to give up the Trad I currently have. I'm also curious to see what the theme upgrades will be for the Trads.
  16. If you have Flickr you might start an album* and then at your location's landing point have a sign with the Flickr album info suggesting people add their pictures there. * not sure if "album" is the correct Flickr terminology, but hopefully you understand the idea
  17. I haven't tested this, but it would seem to me if the land tab options has allow group to build set, then that would allow any group member to build. As you want to control rezzing by group role, I would turn off the group ability to build at the land level, and just rely on the group roles to control who can rez/build. I think the message shown in your image above that says "Members in this role with this Ability can create objects on a group-owned parcel, even if it's turned off in About Land -> Options" supports turning it off at the group level and relying on group role abilities instead. I think you will need to have the land deeded to the group (if it isn't already).
  18. To follow up on the group bonus for land that Persephone mentioned above, it really is worth considering at the amounts of land you are considering. If you create a group and have tier donated to it, you get a 10% bonus in the amount of land you can own without an increase in tier level. For example, if you donated 17,408 sqm to your land group (1/4 region + 1024 free tier), you would be able to own an additional 1728 sqm* of land and still pay at the 1/4 region tier level. You could create a group with your premium account as the owner and a basic account alt as a member - a minimum of 2 members are needed to keep a group alive, but they don't all need to be premium accounts. It's been a long day - hopefully I've got all the calculations correct. * Even though 10% of 17,408 is 1740, the smallest increment of land is 16 sqm, so I think 1728 is the largest amount of full 16 sqm's you could get out of 1740.
  19. If the store that you were in was a store for child/teen clothing, it probably refers to the SMB mesh body for kids/tweens. I don't know where the SMB is available at (or if it's still available) but if you ask in one of the store groups that sell SMB clothes perhaps someone in the group will know.
  20. Once you purchase a mainland parcel, the only on-going monthly charge is the tier fee. It's automatically charged each month against your payment method, so your payment won't be late unless you removed your payment method or there was some type of issue with your payment method. There aren't any zoning restrictions on mainland - you can do what you please with the land (as long as you stay within the TOS, of course). If you have an unused LH, the free 1024 wouldn't necessarily reduce your monthly tier at the 1/4 or 1/2 region levels, but it would let you add an additional 1024 sqm to your holdings without moving you up to the next tier level. For example, you could own 17,408 sqm meters for the tier cost of 1/4 region.
  21. Go to the "Advanced" menu, then Performance Tools -> Show Avatar Complexity Information. (If you don't see the "Advanced" menu, it can be turned on through Preferences -> Advanced -> Show Advanced Menu)
  22. Check in your inventory and see if the #AO folder is empty. If it is, there are steps to fix that on the Firestorm wiki page for FS Folders
  23. LL is aware of this and is investigating, according to the Grid Status page: Water IssuesSubscribe Investigating - We are aware that some residents are not seeing water render properly inworld. It may appear flat or glassy, and without ripples or waves. We are investigating this issue further. Please follow this blog for updates. Aug 24, 06:40 PDT
