For several years, I was a member of the Chiaroscuro community and a contibutor to the annual Fantasy Gay Pride event. Both Chiaroscuro and FGP were owned and run by Greville Oh. He knew that he was terminally ill, and made it clear to the community that he wanted us to survive after he was gone. He passed away in October 2021 and since then I've made sure that the community and the weekly events have continued. We don't have the original regions any more but the place we do have is lovely, and is big enough for our needs, and anyway it's the people that make the community, not the place. We're a family, and if we all broke apart and went our separate ways, I would be heartbroken.

The only real solution is for one or both people to adjust the size of their avatars until the animations match satisfactorially. If you are wanting to take snapshots, then you can also purchase this - https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Animare-Plus-Pose-Animation-System-Boxed/15439427 - you'll need the Plus one because this enables the user to manipulate the pose of another avatar as well as themselves. This will help with things like out-of-place arms that are not affected by the furniture pose adjust. Black Dragon's built in poser is a free alternative but with BD you can't re-position another avatar and the other avatar can't see your adjustments.

When I first started, I rented a tiny apartment in what was basically a motel and it sucked. I could see everything my neighbours typed when they were bumping pixels. I shared a parcel with a friend for a while, we pooled together to share a 4096m which was nice, but I wanted a place of my own. I moved around a bit for a while then I took a 3 year break while I was sucked into World of Warcraft, and when I came back I decided to go premium and buy mainland, because I figured it would be cheaper than renting, in the long run. Now, I have a Linden home and some mainland. I would hate to not have a place to call home.

I switched my houseboat for another, and got a MUCH better location, and switched everything around and completely re-decorated. I'm really loving this now.

"What does your avatar look like now" was started because a few people objected to the presence in the original thread of comments on other people's pictures without actually containing a new pic of their own, and they wanted to start a thread where that was discouraged and ONLY posts containing puctures would be posted without any additional commentary. Whether that actually happened or not, I don't know. I don't look at the smaller one very often.

I wonder if this "significant new milestone" relates to the announcement they they're resurrecting the Mentor programme?

Parcels listed at prices like that are usually actually for rent, not sale. It's a tactic to get the available rental to show up on the map without risking that anyone will actually buy it.

Maitreya is the most popular by several light-years. Legacy and Reborn second but waaaay behind. Everything else is nowhere.

No, you won't lose your friends list or anything else. Everything will stay the same (though it can take a couple of hours for everything to get updated; for example items you own that are rezzed in-world might show your old name for a while before it switches over. However, your friends won't be notified that you have changed your name and they may not recognise you, so best you tell them who you are incase they get confused and un-friend you.

This is normal with the new bento furry/animal avatars because they use deformers instead of invisiprims and alphas to make the head fit You can fix it by using Undeform Avatar (in Firestorm) or Reset Skeleton (in the official viewer. Or re-log, does the same thing.

Everybody knows you should clear your cookies regularly.

I have the universal applier kit and ince I had it figured out it's relatively easy, though its a steep learning curve. Unfortunately, they updated the body last year but they did not update the applier kit, so it no longer works.

99.9% of stuff made for Erika also includes fittings for Lara, Legacy and Reborn. I have two out of those three in addition to Erika, so even if I stopped wearing Erika altogether, the clothing would still be useful for other bodies I wear (mostly Reborn these days). There's one reason, and one reason only, that Erika isn't my main body, and it's nothing to do with clothing availability. It's because I cannot hide the fingernails on one hand and leave those on the other hand visible. And I cannot find any third-party add-on which fits and will allow me to do the same. As an aside, one of my favourite cheap stores (CK Patty) includes Erika on around 1/3 of new releases and now they've been out for a while, some of them are now being included in the 30L/35L sales. Even the full-price stuff is only 199L for fatpacks. Most of it appears to be made from templates, and often from the same ones that Hilly Haalan uses, so the mesh quality is good, the texturing is decent too.

A support ticket will not help. "Mass teleports" are allowed, they are within the Terms of Service and any complaint about it will be ignored. However, you can stop them yourself if you want to. 1) Use Firestorm, if you ar not doinfg so already. (Seriously, you should. It has LOTS of privacy and protection features besides this one, that are not in the official viewer). 2) In the "Comm" menu, "Online status" Tick "Reject teleport offers and requests" 3) In Preferences - Privacy - Auto-responses 2 - configure the text to say what you want. Perhaps a message asking genuine friends with a genuine offer to send you an IM first. If your mass teleport requests are all coming from people NOT on your friends list, tick the box (Don't reject teleport offers... from friends) . If the requests are coming from people who ARE on your friends list (and you don't want to dump them), make sure that box is UNTICKED.

The solution to all of this is simple. Stop paying.

I think it's a per-account thing rather than a SL-wide issue. Some accounts, and I think it's a small minority - have trouble seeing some other accounts on their friendslist when inworld. I had a friend (since passed away) who could never see me as online until after we'd exchanged an IM, even though I had all my settings correct. I got into the habit of messaging him every day just so he could see I was there. Somehow the IM triggered his account into seeing that mine really was online. But this is much rarer than you think and I havent seen it happen with any other friends. 99% of the time this "bug" isn't even a bug at all; it's really just "friends" ghosting each other and being unwilling to admit it.

I wear undies with skirts and dresses, usually mesh ones if they will fit without clipping the skirt. And they usually have space for "a little extra", so anyone trying to upskirt me is going to get a hot-dog more than they expected. 🌭

I went to check out Magika's sale to see if I could complete my collection and found that I already have it all.

Cog & Fleur is another suggestion for clothing. I just put this look together with stuff I already own: Cog & Fleur outfit, hair is Vanessa by Magika, hat is by Leilani Carver (but I modded it with new textures). If you want the more acid-green shade of hair, look for Doux instead (I just thought the darker more leaf-green that Magika has looked better with my outfit).
