  1. I am so glad they're back on the MP. I wouldn't trade my M for the P in a million years. (Yes I demoed the P, and the M is still so much better looking, despite its age). It's cheaper than it used to be too; IIRC the original price was L$1500, now its down to L$1000. The M is the best one from there. Whatever is going on with Ray, I wish him all the best. ❤️
  2. Definite yay. The new one is much more realistic and much higher quality.
  3. (in nightclubs) Show some Linden Love! and I LOOOOOOOVEEEEEEEE THISSSSS TUUUUUUUNNNNEEEEEEEEE!
  4. Izzie Button has a few packs, all mod and all including white: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Izzies-Eyebrows-thin-LeLutka-Evo-X-BOM/23032398
  5. A shape HAS to be for both a head and a body. They can't be sold separately. If you don't want to mess with anything, buy one that lists both the head and body you wear. But if they don't have one for your exact combnation, get the one that matches just your head. You won't have nearly as much to do to fix the body shape as fixing a face. It might be as little as adjusting torso and leg muscles, and nothing else.
  6. They're all little creeks and canals, a little row-boat might work better than a sailboat.
  7. Based on your map, my faves are the yellow, blue and orange areas. There's more freedom there to go where you want, and more interesting things to see.. But through the Stilts and Chalets areas its basically just one straight channel, not interesting enough for me. Fantasseria (black) is also fun but only if you're using something like a rowboat. Same with the Sakuras, which doesn't seem to have a colour at all. My current Belli home is a houseboat in the yellow block and I love the sailing opportunities.
  8. Thats what I did when I had a similar parcel in Fofita. The track launcher is cosmetic only, you don't actually need one.
  9. Not really a scam, just sad basement-dwelling incels trawling group membership lists looking for female avatars and hoping that the users behind them are also female. You know, the sort that refuse to actually pay for a RL dating app.
  10. yes that's almost certainly what happened. I've had a few redeliveries like that.
  11. I still have an unsorted folder in my inventory for the 2021 Halloween shop n hop. I'm not doing any more events until I've unpacked and sorted those. Which will probably be never.
  12. Ugh yes, I quit Reddit for the same reason but r/secondlife was never as active as this forum anyway so I'm not really missing much. I don't think I ever responded more than a handful of times there.
  13. There are three subforums I check and respond to fairly regularly. Your Avatar (because that's the one I can most often help newbies), the Linden Homes one (because I am a staunch Bellisserian and that's where I keep track of events and stuff) and this one (because it's where I'm most likely to learn something useful).
  14. Really? Is there more than one way to pronounce "Orwar"?
  15. In Bellisseria, you can. Just pop in to the hub, book a date at your chosen community centre and have at it.
  16. I do both DJing and hosting at the same venue. As a host, my role is: 1) Prepare and post notices for the upcoming event, both in advance and right before the event. It just so happens that this also involves creating an artistic poster for the advance notice, but that's just an "us" thing and doesn't apply to most clubs. 2) Build a unique set for themed events. For example, an undersea temple for the mer party we had last weekend. Again, that's not typical of most clubs, though I do know of one other that does this at last on a semi regular basis. 3) Greet guests when they arrive. That's just basic level good maners. 4) Help to keep conversation flowing. This is the most important part of a host's role, IMO. A host that doesn't do this is not hosting. 5) Taking snapshots of the event which are combined into a collage distributed to group members as a "souvenir" after the event. Again, that's just an "us" thing. I don't make reminders for guests to tip either myself or the DJ (a tip to me counts as a tip to the venue too, because I own and manage it). Honstly, I don't remember the last time I'e even needed to. We have guests who tip generously whether I remind them or not. We have guests who can't afford to tip whether I remind them or not. We have a guest who tips L$10 every week, because that's all she can spare. Asking for tips or not asking really makes no difference to the amount of tips received. In fact, asking probably REDUCES the tips, because many guests resent it.
  17. For me it mostly depends on what style of houseboat I'm wanting to try, and what the local landscaping and parcel arrangement looks like. On a square plot, the end window faces sideways, usually towards one of your neighbours. Sometimes, depending on whether you're at the end of a row or not, half of the styles will work and the other half won't. Usually though, none of them work well. The advantage of a rectangular parcel is that the big window will always face the right way, regardless of which boat model you choose. My current houseboat parcel is square and I'm using the Doc Holliday - it does have a big window at the end like the older styles, but on this particular parcel I'm at the end of a row and the big window overlooks some nice landscaping rather than a neighbour, so I'm happy with that. The Windlass, Knot Shore and Barnacle would also work well here Other boats orient the opposite way round; the Wallower, Evening Star, Shore Thing or Jolly Roger, the big window faces my neighbour. So if I ever have a yearning to try one of those styles, I'd abandon the parcel and try for another.
  18. That nicely explains the difference between "group chat/IM" and "group notice", the distinction of which I already understood. I was already aware that the text of a group notice appears in the group chat/IM window for logged-in users. What I still don't understand is the difference between "group chat" and "group IM". As far as I can see, they are the exact same thing. A message appears in the chat window, the terms "chat" and "IM" appear to be synonymous, unless there's something else I'm missng. I can't find any distinction between the two in Firestorm.
  19. The worst one I saw was years ago, when someone crashed a region with some kind of megaprim attachment. A few people there ended up with overheated graphics cards as a result, and attacks like that are the reason Firestorm has a feature to block them.
  20. I am confused. What is the difference between group chat and group IM? Is this a distinction that appears in the SL viewer but not in Firestorm? Because in Firestorm, the group chat and group IM appear to be the exact same thing.
  21. I've tried it both ways and honestly? I didn't notice any difference. Except that if I include it, and I get unwanted sexual attention, I can say "psst, you may want to read my profile before taking this conversation any further". It's a convenient way of filtering out the sort of people I probably wouldn't want to talk to anyway.
  22. Forgot to add that also the Cutoff needs to be set to 1 or more. Though you've founfd a solution, but it still might be useful for other things (like fixing alpha glitches on plants and anything else, if it's mod).
  23. Before I switched to a female body, I had one distinct look, even my outfit rarely changed (except upgrades to quality). These days, I change my outfit regularly. I don't know what to call my "style" - mostly I tend to wear beach style outfits - shorts and little tanktops or bikini tops. My body is fairly consistent - tall, red hair (usually long), subtly-pointed elf-ears, freckles, greenish-grey eyes, missing an arm. I rarely wear makeup and I usualy have a bit of stubble on my face.
  24. I haven't tested it, but when you put the transparent texture on, did you check it was set to Alpha Masked? If it's set to None, there is no transpareency even with a transparent texture. Alpha Blended works too but is subject to alpha glitching in some situations.
  25. The skinny arms is definitey not limited to Senra ; belleza Gen X has the same problem. Anyway, here's my effort with Jamie; on the left with all Senra stuff, on the right I switched out for my own skin, makeup and hair but kept the Jamie body and head. Using the Senra shape 2 with minimal adjustment. I really don't like the head. The eyebrows are too high even at their lowest. The eyes are weird; even with inner eye corners at zero it still looks like its not low enough (kinda the opposite of Catwa, which is the head my skin is made for, so I just had to add eye makeup to cover that mess). I love the sporty clothes though. I wish they would fit one of my other bodies.
