  1. @Nando YipThank you for another outstanding exhibit! The house is in a photogenic location too. I thought it was very generous of you to include these paintings as giveaways. Truly they are exquisite; there is something eerily captivating about Tarsila do Amaral’s Autorretrato ou Le manteau rouge, and I was happy that you included Tomie Ohtake’s 1988 piece in the package. They definitely deserve a place at our home.
  2. Welcome to SL! I’m introverted too, but I am surprisingly talkative when I am with the right crowd. As most people have suggested, look for groups that share your interests. I don’t usually initiate conversations as Yuumo, but when I am channeling a bolder personality through an alt, I like to IM people based on something witty, fascinating, or hilarious they wrote on their bio, compliment their look, etc. and I have made friends from that. Sometimes I also get IMs from intriguing, like-minded people from just being a member of an interest group or community. That could lead to friendship or maybe more, if you are single and looking. Cafe hangouts like Burrow are very welcoming in my experience and some of the more extroverted people there usually make the move to chat with you. If you want to explore mainland continents, you can join Drivers of SL (or better yet, IM me inworld if you want to go on a drive or sail sometime). I’ve been living in the Bellisseria continent for over a year now and the community is quite active with events almost every other day and populated by “the friendliest and bat-***** craziest people” (lol) so I feel very at home and consider them my friends. The group chat is part of my daily SL and I try to attend parties whenever I can. It took a while to lower my guard but with time and effort I was able to open up to them and it was worth it because it made my SL actually enjoyable.
  3. East Asian here but since the topic is Southeast Asia, if I remember correctly, the owner of Pattaya Beach Resort is Thai (or based in Thailand at least?) and most of his tenants are from Thailand and Vietnam. You might be able to get in touch with them. KoTA which is originally a Korean-made sim for the Korean community attracts a lot of K-Pop fans from Thailand, Philippines, etc. My Korean friend says there are more Thais who hang-out there than actual Koreans lol I cannot recommend a lot of community sims by fellow Japanese as they tend to be rather closed off to foreigners (and sometimes for good reasons), but I can send you landmarks of public places of interest if you like.
  4. I can attest to this! My body skin is from DeeTaleZ and at one point I even wore their cellulite add-on lol but with their head skins you really need to put on layers like freckles or smile lines to give them character and realism. I think that is what makes faces look super realistic to me. I don’t have Catwa HD Pro so I am not confident with recommending shops, but do BOM skins for other heads sit nicely on the HDPro?
  5. When this first came out I thought macarena was Latin for macaroni lol
  6. Party with us at Coconut Cove if you are free!

  8. During the first half of my SecondLife, it was all about fashion and avatar appearance but now that I have achieved the image that I can permanently be happy with I spend mostly on rent, builds, and furnishings if not professional fees for designers to rez those things on my land and decorate it for me. Every now and then I would splurge on a car or yacht. With clothing, I tend to just stick to my top brands and wait for them to go on sale during the weekend. Until a week ago after I was able to resuscitate not just my oldest avatar from 2006, but also my first alt born 2007, I am back to my old spending habits. I think I shelled out L$20k for both avatars to upgrade them to mesh and all the components needed for their initial look (skin, hair, outfit, plus AO). My shopaholic tendencies are only aggravated by my multiple personality disorder because each avatar I made has a life and personality of their own and that includes varying degrees of vanity and spending control lol One avatar is perfectly content with their L$1 weekly minimalist apartment and does not mind looking the same for the entire year, while another is a fashionista who dreams of living in the L$36k Grand Hotel de Bouillon with its own courtyard on their own private sim >.<
  9. ^They have plenty of breathing poses and almost-still AOs for men at Body Language. Superior quality and well-worth it in my opinion. This is the one I use on a male alt: https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/BENTO-AO-Winston-Body-Language-Sweet-Lovely-Cute/20650982
  10. I wanted to consult @Rat Luv with the same question but I already went ahead and did it: I have fallen out of love and left ... that homestead lol
  11. Same here. Don’t be too strict with your home requirements! The Bellisserian Bureau of Bureaucracy refused to renew our passports this year because our address was a REZ ZONE so we decided to squat at our favorite coffee-and-donuts drive-thru along Route 9. Here I am welcoming another day by tryna be haute and bougie with a photoshoot channeling the existential ennui of Linden homelessness. This is next to a Piggu store so we know which mesh body to upgrade to once we’ve finished off all the donuts and cookies here. As for the kids, it looks like they won in their own Game of Homes because they always wanted a castle so we made one for them in the parking lot out of old cardboard cutouts. There is a 24H auto-return so it adds to their excitement because it “magically disappears at dawn.”
  12. Ditto! Always wished that one of the future themes would be an upgraded Meadowbrook as I prefer modern style lofts. I stayed in one last year when I could not get even a trad. I’ve seen quite a few old LH models that look so luxe inside with professional interior deco and would have been perfect for me if only the exteriors would match the quality.
  13. Do skyboxes count? This was on a mainland plot in Satori but the mister and I decided to have a staycation all to ourselves 2500m above ground last November-December
  14. Besides shopping? Interior decorating, landscaping and basking in beautifully landscaped sims, exploring while driving and sailing on mainland and Bellisseria, learning how to build and script
  15. Have you been to Anico? Also, clubs like Amitabha and Oiran-dou but those are strictly Japanese-speaking spaces.
