  1. Do you have any idea how offensive that statement is? We aren't stereotypes.
  2. Better to be an honorary Texan than a snow bird.
  3. I just saw someone inworld with an avatar complexity of... wait for it...
  4. http://www.elainegauthierart.com/blog/2016/2/1/is-watercolor-the-hardest-medium-to-master https://www.theartistsroad.net/articles/whywatercolor
  5. Watercolor is generally considered the most difficult medium to work with so no worries.
  6. Last I knew many museums still had "gift shops". If the exhibits are varied and rotated, it could still be worth return visits. It wouldn't have to be just about Carl Sagan and there is no reason he can't be honored by it. Give it a general theme like space, name it after him, erect a permanent exhibit in his honor and the rest of the exhibits would be rotated in and out. In other words, it could conceivably be done much like real life museums do. It would all depend on how much time, effort and money the curator would be willing to invest.
  7. It's even worse when they don't give up in RL. There were only two things that did stop him. Doing time at Camp Fed and death. There are those that inevitably prove they are not worth the effort to remove them from the block list.
  8. I wish that were true of all stalkers, RL and/or SL. I really do wish it were true. Some never do give up.
  9. That is simply not true. As someone who has been stalked in RL by an abusive ex I had to be extra careful online to not reveal any personally identifying information. There is no question that he not only could have tracked me down, he would have. And having already had a 9mm aimed at my head while bullets went through the wall behind me, I wasn't about to allow it to happen again. Yes, he could have tracked me down in SL and from there to where I lived in RL, thanks to RedZone.
  10. Think of how lovely it would be if all that "water" could be opened to sailing and other water "sports", instead of channels. Huge 3 masters broadsiding each other with cannons blazing... what a sight to see.
  11. You've never had to leave it there. Even those who pay for premium monthly have always been able to remove PIOF, although it seems that would get to be a pain in the rear end after a while. One of the reasons being, there are times when customers need to change PIOF and to do that, the existing PIOF has to be removed first. Personally, I'm usually pretty picky about where and with whom I leave my payment info on file. Oddly enough, Linden Lab happens to be one of the very few companies I feel relatively confident in. Sure, once in a great while someone gets past security but that's true of many huge corporations (Equifax) and LL has always been on the ball the rare time it occurs. They do get some things right, most of the time.

  13. WTF? I never said that. I loved Austin but was extremely disappointed when Gov. Ann Richards outlawed biker buckets on 6th Street. The Black Cat was one of my hangouts and that is where we got the buckets from. Do you know what a biker bucket was? It was a plastic bucket filled with ice and 5 longnecks. The 6th one was open and in your hand. You could then wander up and down 6th Street with it rather than having to go back in every time you wanted a beer. ETA: You can still get the buckets. You just can't take them off premises like you used to be able to back in the 1980s. https://do512.com/p/buckets-of-beer
  14. I lived in Austin for several years* and spent many a family vacation in the state. I've gotten tatts done by the Shaw family in Houston (Westheimer). Bought LBs in Dallas/Forth Worth way back in the day. My ex did time at Three Rivers. Naw, I don't know anything about the state next door to the one I grew up in. *Last 2 addresses were Dan Jean Drive (duplexes) and Chaparral Road in Southwest Austin.
  15. I don't think Cassie is going to care any longer since her last post on this thread was 3 years ago. In case you didn't notice.
  16. It's a real roller coaster. The Behemoth at Ontario, Canada. https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/roller-coaster-designs
  17. Pick the durn cap up, dust it off, put it back on yer head and get back in the game!
  18. I don't like big cities and I have been to all of those. I've been all over Texas, including El Paso and Big Bend. Used to spend weekends on Galveston Island. I wasn't referring to Texas when I said something about thanking the parents. I was referring to Lousyana. I had to grow up there so yes I do know what it is like. All too well.
  19. Close enough for government work! Wonder World was one of my favorite pastimes. If you're still in the area, go have a buffalo burger at Hut's some day. If you've never been there... best burgers in Tejas.
  20. If you haven't thanked your parents for getting you out of that hellhole... you should. Austin is the only town in Texas that was ever really worth a damn, imo. Until they outlawed biker buckets. It was all downhill after that.
