Selene Gregoire replied to Lureo's topic in General Discussion Forum
Ever know anyone from around Alex? There were two of us in SL at one time. She rented from me. lol My niece used to live in LC. Would be trippy if you had ever met her. -

How Do You Know If Your Art is Good?
Selene Gregoire replied to FairreLilette's topic in General Discussion Forum
Using your imagination to create a visual message. What would your young child's first sculpted clay (and properly fired) cup, given to you as a gift, say to you? The sculpted clay is the art but it was the artist (child) that gave it meaning. -

It started when voice hit the grid. Prior to voice, this... garbage, was unheard of. -
You left that minor but very important detail out. Not the excuse to ramble part. That was funny.

It is rather amazing the hoops some guys will try to put you through and then either refuse to believe the truth or get all bent out of shape when you tell them you don't have to prove anything to them or anyone else. I've walked away from quite a few screaming insults at me in SL over the years. They're not worth the effort. -

VM has been in SL for a few years now. And yes, you can make a male voice sound feminine and vice versa. It can even be done with Audacity which was once (if not still) a popular tool for making looped audios intended to be used in SL. -

Voice verification has always been ridiculous to me. Mostly because I've been aware of voice morphing* since before I ever joined SL (2004) so I've known all along that voice verification in SL was a farce. *VM (late 90s) has been around longer then SL has been open to the public (2003). -

Scholarships? LL isn't in the business of awarding financial aid to college students so I'm not sure what you mean by scholarships. I seriously doubt LL would ever offer discounts on land. Look how many years (more than 10) it took for them to just lower the cost of regions. Add to that the fact that it really did not make them affordable for many of us who want them. -

You have neither the knowledge you are trying to claim nor do you realize you are talking to someone who is Oglala Lakota, not American. My ancestors were on this continent thousands of years before the first so called settlers ever crossed the Atlantic. -

You're an engineer. I'm not. I just had the misfortune to be raised in a family of them.

Like I said, you don't really want to know what I think about statistics. Suffice it to say, I have never needed statistics to back up what I already know to be true. That isn't likely to change.

That was true long before statistics were ever invented. The stats only confirm it.
