  1. Capers aren't released, yet. They just attached them to Bellisseria so expected release isn't until tomorrow or Wednesday as the soonest, though they could surprise us with today (unlikely, in my mind). But as this new gets out that they've "dropped" you can expect more house abandonments over today and tomorrow, I imagine.
  2. Patch is here... I'm on the hunt now. I may be able to sneak up on him because I'm in my alt. Same first name, but maybe he won't notice.
  3. Yes, it is! And it drops you into the water in front of the lodge. (So auto-swimming AO works great). Okay, the houseboats and Traditional areas are beautiful, but (in my mind) Lindens and Moles outdid themselves with this Lodge area. Wow.
  4. They letting us in to look around! That Lodge is AMAZING. And I was right - the picture of @Patch Linden with the waterfall behind him was at the Lodge! (Yes, I'm stalking you now.) Hahaha! I'm on his trail... And the rope in the background is a Zip Line! Wear swimsuit, it drops you in the water! Hahaha, this place is going to be so much fun!
  5. Yeah, gonna have to "camp" across so I can watch now LOL Okay, so not placed fire pits and things, Hopefully they are included in a boxed kit as was suggested before! Because my old camper stuff is... old. As in primly! LOL Wow, what a sight to see!
  6. Ooooh, a sprinkle of Campers in SSP85! And the picture of Patch at Campwich Station is Awesome! The neat thing about the Southern Campsites is there are so many "That one! And that one! And that one, too!". Practically all of them look like wonderful spots and not as land-locked as many Tradition houses, meaning the views will all be amazing.
  7. Pro-tip: Box it in something with a different Creator (and if possible: Owner) name
  8. True. But there be Snowflakes in these here forums who think they speak for others when those others don't want to be spoken-for.
  9. Nah, Firestorms "spy from two sims away" feature does that already.
  10. I am multilingual and now I am kicking myself for turning down the opportunity I had to study mumbo-jumbo. Gosh-dang-it!
  11. Yes, very much so... and no, not at all. It depends on what your goal is to do. If you're doing a region-sized playground then it is very expensive and traffic is important (as the traffic determines ability to sell booths to vendor-renters to help support the costs and all that stuff). I remember when I had an estate with as many as four regions at one time and though the costs weren't stressful, they were *always* on my mind, constantly. Now I have a nice 2050-something m2 on mainland, so no tier costs whatsoever (covered through Premium land-use fee waivers) and I make it open to anyone and everyone - it's a Rez zone with 60 minute auto-return, there are a couple cars anyone can jump into and drive around, an easy-to-fly helicopter to take out, and even a Teeglepet Horse razzed for anyone in the mood. Heck, I've even thrown in a PG-rated cuddle furniture in the back room. I also have set-up *interactive* Animesh Non-Player characters you can role-play with if you're feeling bored and it shows how Animesh can be used is amazing ways. At the same time, though: I'm not looking for popularity, I don't bother putting it into search for $L30 each week or advertise it in any way, other than in my profile picks. I figure what the heck? If someone drives past and stop to have a little exploration then great. If not, no skin off my nose. It's just my little contribution to the community, even if only one in thousands even bothers to explore it. So in the end, it's really whatever your motivations are and what you end-goal is. If you want to go for popular, go big. In my case, at this time, I'm just feeling philanthropic.
  12. So it a LOD issue, and I agree that it's not really a concern since at those distances you would likely be rendered as an imposter anyway.
  13. Okay, "expansion" part is new information - so your hardware has also changed? This will not help, but for edification purposes: The viewers seem to be very sensitive to chips sets and drivers... For example, there is a known bug (slated for a fix in Firestorm, already fixed in LL viewer and others) where alt-clicking an object would send the camera view into chaotic directions on Mac. There is another bug that affects Firestorm (perhaps others, I've not heard this) where a specific Intel graphics chit set and drivers make the viewer fail on Windows. So my theory at this point (I'm not there to see everything happening and how) is if you swapped out some hardware (RAM, Storage, etc.) and it's not official Apple-branded, there could be a conflict that Firestorm (specifically) is not liking. The reason this is a possibility (this is only my own hypothesis) is that Firestorm is a "pig in a poke" for many (Bloated, too many fancy "power-features" for most people) - and all that extra whizzing bells and whistles also make that viewer more complicated under the hood. All the other viewers are a lot closer to the Official viewer - like the Official viewer with a few new features sprinkled in, where Firestorm is akin to a full rebuild of the viewer. This is where I would defer to @Whirly Fizzle to help you. She will ask that you provide detailed system information and viewer information. So help her (and anyone else who are geniuses in how this stuff works) by posting that stuff now. Choose ABOUT THIS MAC and click System Report. Then copy and paste the data from: Hardware, Graphics, Memory, and Storage. Then open Firestorm (if you can) and copy the information from About Firestorm. This way they have the technical mumbo-jumbo to look at and, hopefully, get an idea of what's happening.
  14. We all know how "Object Search" works. I throw a L$ hunt once it a while (Single prize, only one winner) and I always name that object "Object" so that an object search doesn't help. Muahahaha! As for being "suck-ups" or "brown nosers" for Patch or Moles or any Linden? Pffft. Then that's what we are, but only in the feeble, lazy minds of those who think so. Yes, I know any comments like that were all in jest and just having fun! LOL I remember when I first came into SL a few days ago (okay, more than a few days) and reading up about who a "Linden" was and never seeing them, I got all excited when I saw my first one, they were like celebrities or something to me back then. Later, when I owned my own private estate with a few regions, they had an annual private "party" for estate owners a couple times and I got to meet a lot of them (Including BLUE LINDEN, whose has always been awesome!) and I learned they are great people, and they really do work hard (even those we never hear about.) I have always respected them because I know they are just trying to put food on their tables like all of us. And that is why whenever I see a derogatory comment attacking the Lindens, I will defend them like a rabid bunch. Sure, sometimes they do things that justifiably scourge-earning, but that's because we never see the big picture, like hearing only one side of a phone call. If respecting Lindens is "sucking up" to them, then I'm a "suck-up" and I embrace it. Moles, on the other hand... JUST KIDDING! Hahaha!
  15. Okay, that makes sense. Though Necro is only part of (many) words - and though necromancy may be (very loosely) related, it's hardly intuitive. Philia would make sense as well (as a choice by the meme creator) as it's kind of the same thing in a way, right? That being... umm... "playing" with something dead? LOL I know, I know - I apologize for creating any awkward mental images. I'll stop now before I dig this hole deeper!
  16. When you say "uninstalled" - did you use an uninstaller app? because just throwing the app into the trash leaves a lot of cruft behind. Even Firestorm's own "clean install" instructions does not do a true "clean install". The App Zapper I linked to is a commercial version - search Mac App Store for "App Uninstaller" - grab a freebie - you only need it once, right? it is the *only* way to completely and fully remove any app and it's supporting files. Well, the other way is to format your drive and reinstall the OS from scratch. If you have actually done that and still get the same result, something is amiss with your system (I run the latest firestorm on the latest version of Mojave (10.14.6 as I write this) - no issues. You could try grabbing an older version of Firestorm just to see if there's something going on in the FS app itself, but unlikely.
  17. I was thinking that a while ago also, though looking *very closely* at the map - you can see the general "common" areas through the housing subdivisions relatively clearly, but it's really difficult in the camper areas because it seems to me to be slightly denser on foliage, which would be plausible and make sense, though I obviously could be wrong. LOL As for what I'm describing: each camper with it's own fire pit and decoration - the stuff was on LL land, not actually part of the parcel, I thought. Though it was hard to tell at the demo because none were actually parceled-off. Just keeping my fingers crossed, that's all.
  18. Yes, yes (Message received, @Patch Linden, well-played ~sticks out my tongue to his direction~) Part of it for me is the scenery. At the preview during SL16B Every camper and Trailer also had a campfire pit with sitting logs and other minor decoration (Bottles and cups on a tree-stump table and whatnot, lived-in look) and each a short distance from a dirt road (it looked just like a campground here in the Western U.S.) *Every one*. So, I'm really hoping this is how they will be setup like that. If all I get is an empty camper and an empty parcel I'm gonna be disappointed. I really will. I was figuring these decoration would be like some kind of little bonus for taking a smaller parcel, etc. I dunno, just thinking aloud.
  19. Regarding the bolded bit: Are they admitting bad LOD?
  20. It is well-hidden. I'll only say that many who were looking yesterday when Patch announced this, who saw me there (you know who you are LOL) we were in the right area of Bellisseria. But have to pay close attention to details.
  21. Oooh, most of the green template blocks are gone from Camper regions (except for SSP293 and a two or three in another.) /me crosses fingers that this will be the week.
