  1. I've got the bulk of my region at this point, I've built an airfield/wharf with open rez and long auto return. With new neighbors, step one is to reach out. I offer to work with any build they might have in mind. Step two, if they put up annoying stuff and it's encroaching, return it. Step three, derender as necessary. I've never had any issues.
  2. Accounts that use automated functions, such as arranging themselves in circles at the bottom of the ocean, fit LL's definition of "scripted agent", or bot. Just because they're being used for Tiny Empires doesn't make them not bots, by LL's definition. Because it's against the rules? It's the whole reason for the registered as/not registered thing.
  3. Since when has that ever stopped LL?
  4. How about "guessing the current ratio of bots to people"? No need to get so defensive, unless some of those circles are you.
  5. I'm shocked to see a few old JIRA issues migrated over. When I first heard the news about this, I figured it was their way of dealing with the thousands of bugs all at once- consider them all closed and obsolete, like last time they migrated.
  6. What are some of your best guesses about the ratio of bots to humans in SL these days?
  7. I suspect it's more likely because land barons should know better and they're getting the "special treatment" of no warning, vs the chance that the Lindens like me in particular and gave me extra slack.
  8. It's worth noting that poor ratings due to user error can be removed, if you flag it. I had to do that on two of my own products.
  9. The problem is in LSL itself. Owner only is easy. Totally open for everyone is easy. Detecting who has permission to manipulate your items is impossible. Which leaves only group (which requires group tags) or an access list of some kind. Both come with their own problems, and add several extra layers to any actual functions you put into the boat like clickable switches or buttons, for example.
  10. LL will message you before yanking your parcels should you ever run low on tier, and give you time to get it sorted. I know, I've done it. I was even able to answer with "Yeah, if this parcel doesn't sell soon I'll drop it and let the bots scoop it up tomorrow" and they were happy with that response.
  11. If you're a pessimist, incompetent congress means less alphabet agency oversight.
  12. Are they lizard people because they're actually lizard people, or because "no normal human would do that to other humans"? Ever read about the declassified stuff that went on in the 1960's? A Taylor Swift psy-op is kid gloves compared to what the CIA was up to back in the day.
  13. Considering that crazier and more dangerous conspiracies than that have turned out to be real, I'm surprised that one would upset anyone!
  14. It won't matter until SL has been around for at least 29 years. Then all the women will want it!
  15. No no, this thread was asking for examples of bad topics. Any thread with me as the topic would surely increase the intellectual, societal, and dare I say monetary value of the forum it was posted on!
  16. No, other similar words are. But since Thot isn't and clearly Simp isn't, Thot should be on the list of names. Fair's fair, after all. I want to make alts named Rich Simp and Audita Thot!
  17. I'm a little surprised that somebody gave the green light for Simp. What are the odds we'll see Thot as a last name? Camgirl (other relevant words are banned on the forums!)?
  18. Why would anyone donate to a charity in SL anyway? Even if you ignore everything else, the currency conversions alone make it a silly idea vs giving directly.
