  1. You guys ever heard of the gaming grandma who played skyrim? Or the gaming grandpas who play forza. I'm sure there's plenty of older adults who play the Sims, which is far closer to second life . Don't be ashamed to admit it. :3
  2. Unwatchable? Lol. I didn't even notice. I'm so used to seeing horrendous avatars at this point that these guys looked pretty good in comparison to the things I see daily. I was listening more than watching anyway. If you wanna talk about putting more effort into something, we need to talk about Strawberry's interview approach. I've never been more bored in my life than when she interviews someone. It's still funny seeing Oberwolf pretend like he cares about SL tho. lol.
  3. Yes , and that is one of the main reasons that second life retains a lot of users over the competition. The customization in second life is far more in depth than most of it's competitors that just plop the assets down, as you put it . Most of the mainstream creators in second life who make their stuff no mod are just increasing the likelihood of second life losing numbers . Lol.
  4. I may have been introduced to a few bands which I still listen to now, but mostly no... I actually stopped caring what music second lifers listen to because it was 80s 99% of the time . How many times can you listen to the same sub 100 songs on 40+ years ? They'll tell you forever. Meanwhile I'm over here getting angry if I hear the same song in the same week. Pandora , Spotify and YouTube have expanded my musical tastes far more than the limited selection of 80s that second life people think never get played out . I got tired of the " crowd favorites " and would even choose " deep cuts " or lesser favorites songs just to find even more variety . There is ALWAYS good music being made , despite the crippling belief of the old timers that THEIR generations music was the only good music . You just have to actually put some effort into finding it . And by effort, I usually mean no more than getting past the first 30 seconds of new songs you hear without immediately turning it off because it wasn't the same thing you listened to for 40 years . This is in a general sense of course . .
  5. Not surprised at all that the Blueberry group would stone anything that dare suggest some freedom of customization . Wrong quote but you get it. V:
  6. Come to think of it , blueberry was one of those creators who made everything no mod, made fat packs with colors that wouldn't even completely match the bottom to the top , or the socks to the shoes , etc . For example , one of my favorite shades was in their fatpack .I bought it and then the " supposed" matching shade fat pack for the bottom. Literally didn't fully match the top. And ofcourse , there was never a shading option in any of the Huds. Blueberry was overrated . I learned to never support no mod , fat pack selling people ever again through blueberry .
  7. None. I haven't read any of this . If I can't modify the colors or change the textures of the product manually , to anything i want , just like I can if i purchase a real life item, EVEN THOUGH THAT IS AN OPTION IN SECOND LIFE, you've become a plague to me and anyone else who refuses to buy a fat pack of nasty pre made colors that can't be customized to the level that we want.
  8. There sure is. It's usually in a small planned event. I know for a fact that some of the forum users have attempted it because the person was making "jokes" about forum posts. Bombed hard. Harder than the deaf guy who was also participating.
  9. - Political correctness. - people who use the word "SLetiquette". - The future that Demolition Man predicted accurately. - The future that Anger Management's plane scene predicted accurately. Have fun being arrested for using terms that someone has chosen to delete from the official language because it hurt their feelings.
